Located at the heart of the city of Kolkata, the hotel named Siamton Inn is a pleasant surprise to our expectations after our last disappointment in HHI.
Location: A mere 700m from park circus and about a km from the park street centre. Lots of popular restaurants are barely of 5 min distance.
Room: A well lit deluxe room with a view of the city. The room is clean and organised with amenities like kettle and tea/coffee kit, TV, AC, room service, 24/7 hot water in the bathroom, toiletries, complimentary bottled mineral water, mini fridge and a study desk.
Food: We had complimentary lunch and breakfast in our package. The a la carte north Indian lunch was served at the hotel's own restaurant named Shiraz@56. There were different varieties of rice, bread, daal, chicken and fish and desserts to choose from.
The buffet breakfast had Indian, continental and south Indian spread and was available at the hotel's 24x7 coffee shop. They also serve eggs (your way), dosa from their live counter. Every food item was delicious.
Services: The hotel staff was polite and gentle. The room service/housekeeping were quick .
Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely recommend it to others.

Room are neat and compact for a budget hotel, The Breakfast buffet menu was reasonable with a live dosa and egg counters. If you chose MAP plan they will accommodate you at the ground floor restaurant in which you can only choose between very few items (which was ridiculous). The staff are well trained and courteous

We stayed here 6/7 February in a superior room which was perfect. We arrived late in the night & checking in was a breeze. Our room was comfortable & very clean. The Indian breakfast was perfect but the English breakfast breads were stale. We ate our dinner at Shiraz Golden Restaurant across the road from the hotel & it was good. The doorman was very helpful spoke to our Ola driver so he could get us & showed us which bus to use to get around. The Park Street Cemetery is right around the corner & you can walk to all the lovely restaurants especially Fluerys. Thank You for making my stay a Good One.

The rooms were extremely small to the point that we felt claustrophobic. There was no privacy, we could hear noises from the neighbouring rooms. I checked out immediately within an hour of checking in and booked a different hotel. The staff is so impolite that they did not ask me why I'm checking out and infact were rude and asked me to wait until they checked if everything in the room was in "order". I didn't even ask for a refund and yet their behavior was so terrible. Completely disappointed in this so called "3-star" hotel. Clarification: yes I did a book a standard room. I booked a standard room in the zone hotel later for my stay,which was thrice the size, much better cleaned and furnished and was cheaper being a 5-star hotel. So this is completely unacceptable. I didn't stay long enough to click the photos but my stay was terrible.

The hotel is located in a prime location and most of the site seeing places are 10-15 mins drive away. Very nice hotel with warm hospitality from all staff members. Rahman (bell boy), Soma and Arpan both were very heplful throughout our stay, the security guard shameem and sushil were very prompt and helped us get a taxi at local rates. Sukanto the house keeping staff was amazing at his job and made sure our room was all clean. We were served buffet breakfast with a wide spread and the food quality was absolutely amazing and delicious. Overall I would give this place a 5/5 for the hospitality, food, location. We really had a good time. 👍

I stayed here on a work trip, where a dependent was accompanying me. This is a stellar hotel and can become the best in its league, if they iron out small things.
Pros 1. Excellent food - superior in taste, quality and quantity. 2. Very nice rooms 3. Well behaves, helpful staff. The senior manager himself accompanied my aged parent to the room when she was alone. Friendly, courteous and truly believe in "Guest is God" 4. Good location - easily accessible 5. Lavish breakfast spread and staff is well equipped to handle the crowd at the peak hours 6. Staff follows covid appropriate behavior 7. On demand iron/ laundry etc. Nothing that you will need will be denied to you.
Cons 1. While staff wears mask at all times, most guests dont. Staff do nothing to reprimand them 2. Rooms have little to no ventilation. AC was stuck at 22 degrees and it was quite cold. Despite repeated attempts/ calls nothing could be done. 3. Rooms should have a desk/ chair in case they are marketing it as a business hotel

No Visitors/Friends/Family Allowed to visit as they suspect something is going on shady. Not a 4 star property or even a 3 star property. No Hot water in the bathroom even upon request. Shady Area. You will be lucky if your room is on the back side otherwise lot of noise. The person who came to clean the room washed the glasses with his hands instead of using soap and wash it in the kitchen area. U need to call 3-4 times just to get ice & glasses delivered. They have a separate guy appointed for Guest Spotting. Wish they spent that much on customer service & experience. Worst Customer service experience !! Unfriendly staff !!!! Don't Book this place as you can hear noise from the corridor and the other rooms. Difficult to plug into charge points as they are jammed. Dont choose this hotel even if it was the last hotel left in Kolkata city.

Normally I am very lazy to write a review about anything, but my experience staying in this hotel is forcing me to write something about it. I stayed there for 2 nights in Dec 2019 with my wife, 3 yr old kid and my parents. We took 2 rooms. I felt the awesomeness of this hotel right after we reached there in taxi. The hotel boys immediately came to the taxi and unloaded all our bags. Then the receptionist did a warm welcome, provided us a free upgrade as we were family and had a kid and also they had the upgraded rooms available. He explained us everything nicely and then the hotel boys got our bags to our rooms. We got the complimentary breakfast and they had a buffet of lot of options. Food was great. The restaurant was clean, service was really fast. The manager in charge was interacting with each group of guests separately and taking feedback. Everyone was really really nice and courteous. The thing I really liked the most is every hotel staff was smiling and were always willing to help. They made us feel special. Whatever you order on phone like water, plates, iron etc. they bring it really fast. The location is really posh. It's great for people coming for USA visa stamping as the USA consulate is near by. It has a restaurant on the ground floor which serves really great food. It's on park street and near to many famous food junctions, shopping places etc. We all really enjoyed our stay there and will definitely stay there again if we get a chance. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

I have book this hotel for 2 nights. But in kolkata i have found this best hotel because staff , hotel facility,hotel location, silent place, room facility and well decipline and behaviour of receptionist miss soma and room cleaners lady. Hotel cares of guest.
Breakfast point of view they are providing healthy break fast instead of unhealthy as per observation.
Hotels rooms and bathroom clean regurly.
I have observed that staff not pressurise for tips.
Hotel keep small but important things like comb, towels,dental kit, shampoo, small refrigerated, safe locker same like standerd hotels like oberoy, The lalit, The Taj, ITC.)
Pricing point of view its reasonable.
I found few missing products Shaving kit, Iorn machine, Telcom powder.
Finally hotels is superb.
