Detailed Reviews
First time staying here, came in the evening but took a while to check in as 2-3 families came at the same time. Receptionist tried her best but seems a bit inefficient. Support stuff were horrible, unprofessional and poorly trained.
Furniture were falling apart, in poo state of disrepair.
Only good point was location, near Park Street.
Not a great value for money.
Only nice guy was the security guard at the gait who greeted us whenever we saw him.
Only saving grace, they agreed to extend our check out time by 3 hours, though initially declined by younger receptionist girl earlier.

It is one of decent budget hotel in area. Since the area is old congested, you have only few decent hotel. I have been staying in the hotel for past few years and maintainance should be increased since hotel is becoming old. Breakfast is good for the price but can be better. It is good for quick family budget stay

I traveled to Kolkata by Road and booked this hotel for location and PARKING facility. When I reached to check in, I was told by the front desk that I could not park inside as it was for the BOSS'S CAR. I should park the car out on the street. If this is the case, then why at all publish Parking Facility

Absolutely NO value for money. No where in India you pay 4k to stay in a hotel like this. I travel travel 20 days in a month and stay in many hotels but this is the only hotel where I feel a pinch while paying the price. It is not even worth 2k per night and they charge between 3.3k to 4.2k for a room which is hardly 100sq ft and the smallest bathroom I have ever been to. I stay just because my client’s office is nearby this hotel. That’s it.
There are no amenities at all in the hotel and definitely not recommended for a family stay. It addition the food is the worst in Calcutta as per my experience.
I would suggest one should stay here and experience themselves else my feedback would look like a just another frustrated customer’s feedback. Look at the photos of the most expensive room and judge yourself.

Overpriced. Tiny rooms and untrained a staff. The only good thing is the hotel is surrounded by even worst hotels around so this one stands out. But that does not justify their standard. It is 4k per night and doesn’t need even fall in 3 star category. Food is unbelievably bad and the bathroom is claustrophobic with no hot water facility most of the times.
Overall, it’s a bad hotel for a 4k price range.

The hotel was good as per the price and the I've noticed a significant improvement in your performance, behavior, and skills since your last performance review. You appear to have taken the constructive feedback to heart and worked on yourself. I am truly amazed by the dedication and positive attitude that you bring to work every day. Good job!

I called at the reception on 8/03/15 in the morning that I needed a room for single occupancy as I was going to meet my friend. When I showed up there, the hotel guys said my friend couldn't go into my room. Instead, she should wait in the lobby. I didn't understand that rubbish. I was offering them Id proof and address proof. But they didn't listen to me.
I didn't understand this hotel could be so pathetic. It seemed that those guys were doing moral policing. Do you have ladies staff to serve a female guest? or you call all of the female guests to the lobby to take everything they need. What kind of sick mentality is that? I never expected such kind of treatment from such as hotel.
Grown up guys, Male and female can be friends as well.

I have only one complaint from management. they should have some humanity over business.
i with my old age parents was returning from Gangasagar which were very much hectic journey. my mother was not feeling well as she is BP patient. we Reached Kolkata at 9 Am. our Check in time was 12 Noon. I mailed to hotel for consider early check in as a special Case but they refused our pray. I again mailed him and told the whole emergency condition but they even didnt ready to give us room one hour early. they had vacant room because they revert me and asking half day room rent for the same.
I think every business man have rights to earn as much as he can but not over humanity.

I stayed at the Corporate Hotel from the 13 to the 15th of November 2014 and had a very bad experience with the issue of honesty of the Hotel staff and the attitude of the senior Managers including the General Manager.
I wish to put this experience in writing as a warning to all travellers regarding the danger of keeping your cash & valuables in a Hotel Room Safe deposit box especially at Corporate Hotel.
After checking into Hotel Corporate at about 11pm on the 13.11.14, I put my cash money in an envelope together with my Passports and other valuables in my Hotel room safe deposit box and used a secret 4 digits pin number to lock it. The next morning before we left for our tour of Kolkatta, I took out some of my Indian Rupees (INR) as I need to spend in Kolkata but left the other currencies & balance of INR in the Safe deposit box in the room thinking that it was safe to do so instead of carrying them around on our tour.
Upon completion of our tour at about 5.30pm, when I return to my room, I could not open the safe with the same secret pin number which I have used on a few occasions. I rang reception and complained about the incident. Nobody came to help us open the safe until the 4th call at about 845pm.
A gentleman, the “Technician” came alone to my room and put in an overriding code and the safe opened automatically like magic. After he left I had a peep at the content & everything seemed to be intact.
I woke up early the next morning to catch an early flight to Puri and emptied the safe deposit box and counted my cash in the same white envelope and found that A $400 was missing from the envelope. I checked out and complained to the reception and there was nothing they could do but asked me to write a report to the General Manager (GM)
On my return to Kolkata from Bhubaneshwar the next day, I met the GM of Corporate Hotel, who denied that such an incident could happen. I demonstrated live exactly what could have happened in a vacant room in the hotel in front of the GM, another Senior Manager and the so called “Technician” who opened my safe. I put in my 4 digit pin number and showed them that I could open the safe with the same pin. Then I asked the ‘Technician to open the safe by putting his overriding code. After the ‘Technician” had put in the overriding code, the safe was opened. He could not close it unless he puts in the same overriding code. Then came my turn to put in my same original 4 digit code , but the safe could not be opened because the last quote used to lock the safe was the “Technician’s “overriding code.
What has happened was that the Housekeeping Manager / Senior Manager was on holidays and passed the secret overriding code to the so called “ Technician” who is a member of the housekeeping Team.
The GM promised to look at the Hotel CCTV to see whether any intruder came to my room to steal the money. Of course there was none because the CCTV is only installed at the corridor of the hotel unless the Hotel has a secret CCTV hidden in my room, how are they going to see what has happened inside the room?. The CCTV only showed the housekeeping team who entered my room. Nobody else entered my room until we came back to our room. Isn’t this a inside job?
I wander how many hotel guests have fell victims to this kind of scam and were not even be aware as not many of us would count our cash if 1 or 2 pieces of notes are taken. We may even think that we spent it. It so happened that I counted my Aussie $ as I was sure the A$400 was missing as I did not used any A$ at all in Kolkata. I did not count my INR though which some may have been taken as well because I got no idea how much exactly of INR was in left in the safe as I was using them daily
I questioned the wisdom of the Management Team and the Hotel Policy regarding such an important issue of delegating the Safe’s overriding secret code to the Housekeeping Team who has access to all rooms to make up the rooms and at the same time can access and help themselves to the guests’ safe deposit box. Whoever took my money was smart enough not to take all or it would have been too obvious but taken only a small percentage of my cash in the envelope.
Recalling back on my past stays at Hotels, I have encountered incidents when my room safe deposit box was unable to be opened due to technical reasons and most of the time, the senior manager will come personally with another person – may be a technician (who will not have any access to the room) and together will resolve the problem. In this case, the same person who has access to the overriding code also has access to the room as member of the Housekeeping team
Until today which is 2.5 months later, there was not even a reply to my written complaint from the GM. In spite of me phoning him on at least 10 occasions, he never got back to me after promising to investigate and call me back. Nowadays whenever I called the Hotel and asked for the General Manager and I always get the same reply that the GM is not in.
I hope all travellers who intend to stay at Hotels especially Corporate Hotel in Kolkata is careful not to leave any valuables in the “safe” as they are not as “safe” as it sounds. I could not claim from Travel Insurance as we do not have time to make a Police Report
