Detailed Reviews
Rooms r too small and very hot. Try to avoid this hotel. Staff r not so friendly. No lift, no air circulation.I took a room at 8 am but they make it clean at 12 pm. Rooms r very much dirty. Though toilet is English style, they are dirty. Main problem rooms are so small and hot that you can not sleep.

This is a convenient hotel in a budget to stay in busiest area in Kolkatta
The services are not up to the mark but still people like it because the shopping market and bus stops are nearby. The restaurant and money exchange are walking distance

Here is the full review
1. Location is near prince Hotel. 300 Feet from Shyamoli Bus counter. 10 min walk to new market.
2. Hotel Check In/Check Out
3. Room Size is small. 1st floor rooms are good but costs around RS 1800; top floor rooms are for young people costs RS1200-1400. Rooms have AC but takes time to cold.
4. Wash Room are basic without any toiletries. Hot water takes time to come in.
5. Wi-Fi Connection is unavailable. Even routers are placed next to the room but those does not work.
6. Beds are basic type without extra pillows. Mosquitos are found accompanied by lots of bugs.
7. Front Desk attitude was very unprofessional. When we checked in they informed the cost per room was 1800 but during check out they told it was 2000 when I tried to inform about the mismatch they got very angry acted like goons. If you call them & request to keep a room they will say that you may get the room but when you arrive in the hotel they just refuse accommodation. I accompanied my patient & informed well advance they we need 2 rooms, the manager obliged but when we went their they kept us waiting for 4 hours after that they said “No Rooms”. This is the attitude you get from this type of budget hotel. I suggest to book in advance through travel portals.
8. In house restaurant/Breakfast is unavailable. But there are restaurants nearby.
9. Transport is available since it’s the center of Kolkata.

I have stayed here many times, since I was a kid. It is quite an old Hotel but services are high class since then. Location is also excellent, very close to New Market, which is a very important hub of Kolkata.

We stayed there at Christmas time and hotel charged us a high price for 3 days. Room was very small and dirty. They served a dirty blanket. They don't care about customer service. It's like stay, pay & go away.

1. During our family visit we preferred to live in Gulshan Palace.
2. Places of interest like New Market, Eden Garden, Howrah Bridge were very near...for some within walking distance.
3. All mid ranged restaurants were within 3 mins of walking distance.
4. Since on a "main road" taxis were readily available.
5. Although weak in strength, WiFi was active and somehow could do with it...
