Am travelling to Kolkata for a dear friends engagement ceremony. Looked up for a hotel and found Holiday Inn Airport to be the right choice for me & Indeed turned out to be one of the best.
Just loved the stay here with one of the smoothest check-in processes here and the lovely staff being more than helpful in giving us a room before the checking time as we had an early flight. Thanks to them we got our room at about 11.30 am.
A very positivevibe with room & the cleanliness provided to us. Beds we're of superior quality and the linens were one of the best I have gotten around. Washroom is very spacious and elegant with the wet and dry area separated with a glass panels as u can see In the pics posted. Overall just love the design of the room and all the amenities provided with it.
The elevators r user friendly and fast. The lobby is quite nicely decorated with a lovely breakfast / dining area towards one side and the sitout with the reception area towards the other.
Breakfast spread is one to relish here with wide spread of dishes served from fruits to salads to South Indian to continental cousins laid out in an orderly fashion.
Again loved the property & well recommend from my side.

Myself Nilanjan Das. I came here from UK and now am staying here for quarantine for 7 days. From UK when I had booked the hotel I was so happy/satisfied to see the behavior of hotel management. Everytime they helped whatever I needed. During stay I am so happy with the 5 star quality service by hotel management and food quality is so good. Also this hotel provides cab service if you need. I did not expect this kind of service,hospitality, hygienic atmosphere in this pandemic situation. In this reasonable room rent they are providing such a brilliant service in all aspects. I will highly recommend this hotel for staying and having experience of world class service.
Everyone in this hotel including Mr Debasish,Mr Raj , Chef Mr Somenath (With whom I had contact) is very helpful,polite in nature. Whenever I needed something I reached them and got prompt service instantly.
The food quality is fantastic and proper tasty and hygienic.The chefs are brilliant and they can cook everything as per your request. In my case when I wanted to eat any special item I requested Mr. Somenath and he prepared food.Seriously it's a mind blowing experience to have such good quality food.

I stayed here for 6 days. It’s a lovely hotel. We had a comfortable stay. Though the area around is busy and close to the airport, the compound is well spaced and quiet.
Nice plants around, simple check-in process and no nonsense rules.
The hotel has absolutely beautiful rooms, very good bed, a nice gym with all essential equipment and even includes free laundry wash so you can wash and fold your clothes.
The restaurant has a perfect buffet breakfast and a good menu for ordering food anytime with reasonable prices.
The best part above all this is their super friendly staff. When I had to extend my stay, requested Ms. Shireen there and she did everything so perfectly that I didn’t have to shop around or login to websites etc.
Their prices are very reasonable.
This is now my bookmarked place when I want to visit Kolkata.

I booked two rooms through my travel agent for a business trip. When we reached no prior arrangement had been made for rooms close by, which could have been done by software. When we insisted we got the rooms on another floor. Rooms were decent and housekeeping ok. At night I enquired for hot chocolate, was told only tea, coffee available. A Nescafe pouch is all that was required. Wifi didn't work. Call to reception, no one sent. Urgent work completed with the help of mobile hotspot. Next morning, at breakfast time, tea was mostly milk. On request it was made again, took 20 mins but still a lot of milk. My guest had requested for morning tea in his room. When I reached there, found a waiter insisting for immediate payment. Very reluctantly he left leaving my guest feeling insulted and myself embarrassed. Fruits were overripe. Fresh mixed juice made was almost only watermelon. When inquired GM was informed was informed had not come. When bill was made I had been billed for pickup for which travel agent had already paid. They insisted that for drop the bill would also be raised inspite of being told that this was part of the package. When the travel agent took up the matter, it was resolved and they apologised to the travel agent. My request for arranging a taxi for half day was turned down with advice to book Ola/Uber directly.

Good hospitality. Staff were very cooperative. However to my surprise my room had several maintenance issues like no WiFi connection for more that 24 hours after I checked in, shower handle in toilet was broken, chair inside the room was non-functional, one of the telephone was dead and main door safety chain was broken. Overall good stay but had to follow up on each and every maintenance issues. In room dining food was horrible. I was given rotten and smelling fish when I ordered fish curry in my room. Buffet restaurant was always crowded by outside guests and there were hardly any space for hotel guests. The room maintenance and food quality and taste needs much improvement. I am an IHG Platinum Elite member but Holiday Inn Kolkata Airport is one of the worst Holiday Inn property I have ever come across.

I stayed with my wife at Holiday Inn Kolkata from 18 to 25 June 2020. I had pre-booked my choice of this hotel at London from where we flew down to Kolkata.We were picked from the Airport and ou inr transfer to the hotel was smooth. The hotel is adjacent to the airport and located in the main arterial road which connects to the central district of Kolkata. The check-in process having completed,we reached our rooms by lift. The king-size room was spacious with plenty of elbow space.The bed were nice and clean. The meals were sumptuous and to our pleasant surprise customised to me our taste. The hotel staff throughout the 7 days stay often enquired on any additional help that they could do. The hotel tariff is quite reasonable and at the end of my stay felt Good Value for Money.

We suddenly planned and went for lunch with family. Since it was a Sunday and we did not have prior reservation we had to wait at the lobby for half an hour as the restaurant was totally full. However, the manager was courteous enough to let us visit the buffet area and bring a plate of food for the kids. The lunch buffet had an array of delicacies like veg manchow soup, paneer malai kebab, barbecue potato, pepper fish, chicken tikka served with mint chutney. For mains they had steamed rice, pulao, mutton biriyani, yellow daal, sabz miloni, benarasi potato, paneer butter masala, chicken curry, fish in oyster sauce, mixed veg prepared in chinese style, veg noodles. They were serving naan and pasta as well on request. A small salad, chaat and dessert counter was available as well but the options were limited. We booked a voucher through nearbuy as it was cost effective compared to booking at the hotel directly (590 vs 760). An orange cordial was served as well. However, due to the rush at the restaurant, service was a bit slow on terms of clearing plates. Otherwise the staffs were polite, courteous and checked with us regarding our experience as well. All in all it was good value for money.

We stayed there for 2 nights. First thing that struck me was their responsiveness and no-snob attitude. They were very accommodating to all my requests. They didn’t even charge an early check in charge even though they were well within their rights to do so. Right from the airport pickup to the checkout, the full experience was seamless. They listened to all our requests. We had In room dining throughout out stay and also ordered some items from their kitchen separately. All good. I wouldn’t say food was extraordinary. But it was mostly more than good. The quantity is very generous. The veg items almost always hit the spot. The chicken items were a bit below the mark. But no a huge deal. I have stayed in Holiday Inn in other countries as well. They kept the same esteemed standard here as well. So a reliable place with a great value. Will stay again if I have to look for a hotel in the city.

i used Uber. Airport to Holiday Inn is only Rupee 150 (~USD2). Just bear in mind, almost all are white Maruti Swift and they all look the same except for the number plate. And the duration it takes to to get to pick up point will
constantly change due to traffic jams. It may show 7 minutes at one point in time, 9 minutes a few minutes later and this goes on until the vehicle arrives. Be prepared to have the order cancelled too. Alternatively there is ticketed taxi but the queue was long on the day of my arrival. Can't tell which service had a shorter waiting time. If you are in a position to pre-book a hotel transfer, that would be ideal. Otherwise, be prepared to test your patience and share the wait with mosquitoes.
