This is a newish property, very beautiful building. Has spa gym swimming pool. The chefs were amazing very helpful in my vegan dishes ADRIRAJ especially chef SHANKAR I told him my requirements and he made sure he passed the message to the rest of the team, the managers all were very helpful I had some problems with the rest of my group who were staying at some other location, the managers JOYEE and another female with short hair mainly in the restaurant forgot her name, worked together and solved the problem, they were absolutely amazing they took care of all my worries.
The spa treatments were very good, bit on the pricey side but that is normal for hotels One of the best I have had my daughter went back twice.
Would definitely recommend this hotel.
The room was spotless bath tub had a floor to ceiling window for a great view. Room service was prompt and very professional.

My wife and myself wanted to sneak out badly after the long six months of house arrest! We were a bit apprehensive about the safety part but after looking at the preparation and training of the entire hotel staff all our apprehensions were gone. The room was fully sanitized 12 hours ahead of our arrival, the elevators and all the public points are sanitized throughout the day. None of the hotel staff was without a mask and the guests were also advised to wear a mask all the time.
For us the best experience was at the restaurants where an army of attendants were there to help customers avoid any contact. We got food served to our table, despite the fact that it was a buffet menu.
We got an executive room on the 20th floor, which probably has the best view of the Maa Flyover and the green sprawling fields plus the endless lake from the bathtub as well.
We were extremely delighted at the end of our stay. It was truly rejuvenating amidst the long crisis. We would like to particularly thank Rahul, and Vishal at the restaurant, Raksha and Arpita at the front desk and Chef Amit.

My husband and I stayed at JW Marriott Kolkata from August 2019 to March 2020. JW Kolkata was basically our home and all the staff our family. We had the best experience there out of all the hotels we stayed at in India. From the front office, restaurant to the room service and laundry services, everything was impeccable. They made an effort to get to know us from day one. They served us food to our liking, made special treats for us on special occasions. We knew no request was too big for them especially Pallavi Mishra who went out of her to organise various events and functions for us. The kitchen staff at the restaurant would pay attention to our individual paletes often making special dishes for us as per our preferences. For special occasions like birthdays and anniversaries there was something special without fail. For the room service, cleaning and laundry, I would highlight the quick and efficient work of the staff to ensure a clean room is available to us and they made our suite more homely with their different touches to ensure we were comfortable. Deva and his team are very clean and efficient. We were sad to leave early due to COVID19 but will definitely visit again soon.

Undoubtedly, one of my favourite hotel I stayed during my time in Kolkata, last year! The location of the hotel is excellent, in close proximity to the airport, city centre, office hub (Salt Lake), shopping arcades and the soccer stadium of course. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the associates but due to sold out situation – we had to wait for couple of hours, however the associates were extremely cordial and made us comfortable at the lobby. Manager on Shift – Payal Dasgupta was extremely courteous and helped us complete the check in formality. The room was extremely cozy with the presence of all high end technologies including iPod dockets, HSIA along with ethernet, smart TV, etc. The most amazing part was the interior of the washroom, which was of next level and it had all the branded toiletries pre placed along with a hair dryer.
There’s a fantastic buffet restaurant located at the lobby level, extremely clean, hygienic & comfortable and have a wide variety. The food is fantastic and with awesome service personnel around, the place made it more vibrant. I am still frantically searching for words to share my superlative, fantabulous, lovely and caring experience. It’s just exemplary.
We had a great evening at the hotel, which obviously also added up to the experience.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to everybody! It's a true sample of excellent hospitality and quality food....

Had an exceptional stay. From the start till the end it was Marriott luxury at its best. Being a good elite got rooms upgraded. The view from my room was delightful. I had come with my grand mom and they took great care of her as well making sure all her needs are fulfilled. The buffet manager made sure she got serviced the dishes she requested and made sure she was able to go back to her room as I was out. Thank you for your great service. It’s one of the best hotels in Kolkata and there can be no complains. The breakfast buffet is really great as well with a variety of options. Really enjoyed my stay and wish I come back again for another memorable journey.

JW Marriott Kolkata and their magnificent hospitality filled my heart with gratitude. I was confident of their Covid-19 safety measures and care. I knew I could trust them. Girl who checked me In the night was awesome to accommodate all my requests, she was very polite, Shantanu Thank you for helping me to change my room request promptly at last minute. Room was awesome as we have been upgraded to a suite. The kids loved ever bit of the stay and just did not want to leave the place. They were soaking themselves for hours in the luxurious bath tub. The rooms were so well done and cleanliness was to another level. Had the privilege of eating the buffet breakfast in the morning at the JW Kitchen. They were so particular that with wearing fresh gloves and face mask cannot go near the food stations. It felt so comfortable that they taking such precautions which is the need of the hour. Staffs always hands on all the time and was going out of the way to get whatever the kids demanded. It felt so nice. A Huge Shout Out to "Vinay Joshi" who helped me to have such a wonderful time with my family. You are awesome. I was celebrating my B'day and he send me a small cake in my room and nicely did a surprise decor aswell. That was such a nice gesture. Sous Chef Ganesh in the restaurant also came and made sure we got everything hot and fresh at the table. Once again, thank you guys and wishing everyone at JW Kolkata a very happy & prosperous 2021.

We stayed at the JWM for six nights in December 2019. The quality and service were consistently high, as can be expected in any JWM. The rooms and the bathrooms were a little smaller than I expected. All of us loved the massive spread at the breakfast buffet, along with the personal attention showed by the staff.
The lounge on the top floor is really spectacular. As we often had a heavy breakfast and a heavy lunch, the snacks in the evening served as an ample dinner for us. The lounge managers were very friendly and solicitous.
I also felt that this JWM was relatively inexpensive. My rooms cost about $130 per room per night. As a comparison, a much lower quality hotel in Bhubaneswar (Mayfair Convention) cost me about $100.
However, there is some room for improvement. The staff are extremely courteous, always smiling and bowing. But the efficiency with which things get done is not very high. I had to call the front desk more than once to get the room freshened, or get more coffee bags etc. This is not unique to this JWM, as I find the same problem affecting many high end hotels in India.
Another minor negative is the location. Getting to the city can take 30 minutes or more. It is not close to a metro station. Fortunately, Uber is very easy and inexpensive.

Had a fantastic stay in the JW in January. Everything from the room to the food was fantastic. The staff really make you feel at home and do everything in their power to make your stay fantastic.
The rooms themselves are very comfortable and the housekeeping staff do an excellent job making sure everything is to your liking.
The true stand out feature of this hotel is the staff. They really are out of this world and I’ve never experienced service like I have here.
