Well I booked it because it was rated as 4* on expedia, rooms were cheap(2 nights stay was cheaper than one night stay in Novotel) and was nearer to the airport. Room was OK for a 6-7 hr stay, I wouldn't want to stay there for more than that. The bathroom smelt of urine when I entered, maybe because of the stale air.
They charged me ~ INR 450 for an airport drop, which they had mentioned they will charge, but considering I was staying only for 6-7 hrs they could have waived it. Hotel is just by the side of the main road so not much to look out of the windows, have to keep the blinds on for privacy

1. O2 Hotel has been our pit stop from many years when ever we visit Kolkata.
2. The hotel is near to Airport and very convenient for international travellers who plan to visit Kolkata.
3. Anybody wish to have a Pick-up and Drop to airport, the hotel can provide.
4. As usual we did check-in Premium Suite and i just the same for all international travellers.
5. The check-in process is smooth as usual. There is a good choice of variety at buffet breakfast. The food tastes good.
6. Lunch and dinner could be better. Not sure why dishes are too spicy and oily
7. The tables, cutlery and other utensils are clean.
8. Compare to the pervious years, The in room service became too expensive than ever. Don’t really see the worth in spending 200% more on some times which comes at the same quality in other hotels.
9. Overall experience is good and I surely recommend O2.

Close to the airport, just enough for an overnight stay.
The room small due to 2 extra beds, but our beds were very comfy. There is a big bathroom with perfect shower.
On our arrival, the staff did not managed our pickup, maybe due to missing Indian phone number.
I had to prove that I had booked 2 extra beds for kids and argue with the staff to bring them to the room.
The staff tried to be welcoming, but for the mentioned misunderstandings / issues I'm not satisfied with their attitude.
On our early arrival next day, we got just some sandwiches and tea/coffee for breakfast.
There is no restaurant close to the hotel, but within 15 min walk you can find an Indian fast food and a Domino's pizza.

The rooms are nice. Comfortable and Spacious. Washrooms are big too but have transparent doors. The beds are comfortable and pillows are pretty ordinary. They refuse to you give you additional pillows. The service staff of the Hotel is way too slow. You ask for something and they take ages to come to the room and get it done for you. Food is good.

It's quite late but never too late also 😃
Great place to stay overnight if you catching a flight at add hours.very close to airport.the rooms are well maintained and I like the breakfast spread, even dinner buffet as well and service is great food is good . The best thing is they have a great bar + night club as well next door to the hotel, I highly recommend who love to enjoy also . Keep it up !!!!!!!!!!!!

I had stayed in this hotel twice on different occassions enroute to my home town. It is the closest good hotel near the Airport. The rooms are good, clean & spacious.
The staff are good & supportive.
Food is very good.
The best this about the hotel is that it has a Disco in the complex. A great way to unwind.

Chose this hotel due to proximity to the airport as we had about 12 hours between flights. We had arranged for a pickup, but our ride was not there and when called he said he was busy with others. We found a ride with a local and when we arrived at the hotel little concern was exhibited by staff. Our room was okay, but overall the place was quite dreary. The highlight is the restaurant, which served a nice variety of food at reasonable prices. The shuttle to the airport in the morning was there and waiting for us, so that too is a positive.

The hotel is very close to airport - though you need to hire a taxi for minimum distance tariff. One may confuse the two adjacent hotels with same name (maybe by same owner) - but I found the shifting from one to the other was a bit difficult as I have to do all those finding the right hotel, carrying all the luggage myself with no one from the hotel assisting you. In Kolkata maybe people do not expect servitude but indifference from hotel staff is irritating.
The room was quite good - clean and fresh with beautiful bathroom. Breakfast is average.

I stayed there last week during transit in kolkatta. The room is good with good amenities, staff is also good. just 15 minutes from airport near haldirams. price is high compared to what i would pay, but for a comfortable stay near the airport fair enough.
Food is really good. The complimentry breakfast is good with variety. Hotel also arranges taxi at Rs. 200 to pick or drop from airport. any private taxi would take 100Rs.
Dont pay advance money for booking as they dont refund any money if you miss the booking, but adjust it with your next booking. So be careful.
