Stayed for a night again. Front office staff is very efficient. Took only a minute in checkin. Room was small but clean. same for the bathroom. bath towels badly need a replacement. Wifi and Breakfast came complimentary with the room. wifi was high speed. breakfast was basic but decent. good taste.
just opposite is Jai Hind Dhaba. good food and its open till 3 AM. sometimes you may have to wait for a table even at 1 in the night. just a few blocks away is Tangra Kaizen. A small bar but their snacks are very tasty. specially fish fingers and garlic prawns.

Based on the trip advisor rating I have booked this hotel for a stay of 3 nights . Average hotel but Value for money. The rate cards for the services like room service and laundry are costly. Bed is bit hard . Break fast is complimentary but very limited options No fresh fruits or juice. Had the dinner in a dhaba. opposite to the hotel which is cheap and tasty. AC is noisy . Bath towels and Bath room accessories are not up to the mark. Location wise good.

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights with my mother. My room was Executive Room. The room was small, but clean. Bathroom and Toilets were also clean. They clean your room everyday or whenever you ask them to do so.The hotel staff were friendly and quite helpful.
Breakfast was included in my booking (I booked the room online) and it was quite delicious. Breakfast normally includes 1 or 2 south Indian dishes like Dosa, Idli, Sambhar Vada, Toast, Butter, JAM, Aaloo Parantha, Tea or Coffee.
We also had dinner in this hotel. The food was delicious, but bit expensive. You can directly go to their restaurant for lunch and dinner OR order the food directly in your room (includes Service Charge/TAX)
Other facilities included/present in my room were:
1. Wi-Fi - You need to get WiFonic Username and Password from the front desk. AFAIK the Username and Password is valid for 24 Hours and doesn't work with multiple Wi-Fi enabled devices. You need to use it for one device only, else it expires automatically.
2. Mini Bar with NO alcoholic drinks - That's great!
3. 24 Hours Room Service - I always used the room service for refilling my Water Bottles for FREE, instead of using small paid Mineral Water Bottles from Mini Bar. Keep in mind, the water everywhere at Kolkata is very hard, but the Hotel use Aqua Guard Water Purifier.
The hotel in 21 KM from Air Port and you can get a YELLOW Taxi for almost anywhere. The nearest Metro Station from this Hotel is NETAJI BHAWAN
Overall, I had a pleasant experience in this hotel and I can recommend this hotel to everyone. Will stay again in this hotel :)

Hotel Mangalam is the best ever Hotel for me in Kolkata. All the staff of Hotel Mangalam are very Friendly, Helpful, & Supportive. The taste of the food was also good. And it has given me experience like I am at my own house. In one call the staff ise to arrive at room to help. It was an amazing experience for me. Thank you so much for this lovely experience.

Although it was a business trip but once you are coming back from all day meetings it is a comfortable and calm stay. Peaceful, clean and a great place to stay. And plus you will see markets, malls, food joints all nearby.

Well located for business-like activities. Not close to the metro but plenty of taxis in the vicinity. Very well maintained & clean with excellent bathrooms though small rooms. Complimentary breakfast of the no frills type is served in a small dining room. Would definitely stay there again.

Considering the pictures and description, and forgetting to read all comments I booked this hotel for 3 nights. Wall paint in the hall is decrepit. The room was terrible, walls full of stains , bedsheets were half clean (?), bathroom dreadful. I managed to have bedsheets changed for clean ones as well as towels. They even gave us toiletpaper!! But still room was shabby. I visited somme others they were all in same dishevelled conditionTop of all, one fully benefits of the air conditionning of the restaurant on ground floor and it is very noisy. Breakfast is also poor, mainly indian food not much choice. I would not at all recommend this place. It seems it is hardly better than a guesthouse but a lot more expensive.

Rooms were just average but a budget one. Not recommended for metro users. But easy availability of CABS. There was a restaurant just opposite the hotel called Jai Hind Dhaba, it serves best North Indian food, Must try . This is one big mileage for the hotel

Hotel Mangalam - Kolkata we chk in on the 7th april for 4 nights stay .....we took a deluxe room tht they have.since it could fit it one more extra bed ...the hotel is very economically priced and it also had breakfast included in it .the hotel is centrally located in the area of sarat bose road .it is around 45 minutes drive from the airport .thet have buffet breakfast for the guests it is mainly southindian food and milk and flakes and toast also with fresh juices. the hotel staff was quite polite and helpful.nxt to the hotel couple of steps away is located the lakshmi narayan mandir .and on the opp side of the hotel there is a famous dhaba (food joint) called jai hind dhaba...it is according to me the onli place open for food till 2.30 am in the morning .if this place was not there we would be staying hungry at night .this restuarant has excellent punjabi and chinese cuisine.and they also serve dinner to the hotel room.the rooms at the hotel are small but it is well equiped with fridge n all...the bathrooms are decent with new shower fittings and all.the beds are also comfortable.this hotel is very reasonably prised as compared to other hotels in the same area.i would again go back to this place and stay when i am there for business.its price factor and central locality will pull me back to the hotel.
