We didn't actually stay at the hotel but at a horrible cheap dive around the corner, but we came here for dinner, breakfast the next morning and to use the free wifi. Prices were higher than local food places but not unreasonably high. Food was tasty and big portions. Great service, fast wifi. Breakfast was a big buffet upstairs with a lot of choice. Don't know what it was like to stay there but seemed a nice place.

Good location on Sudder Street near some of the tourist attraction.

We stayed for 4 nights. Good location, cozy environment, clean rooms and bath room. Good Wifi.Complimentary breakfast can be more improved. Only annoying thing was noise of doors and calling bell of next rooms. Some time you might get confused about the calling bell, you might think that some one is at your door. But it was rang at next door.
Over all we enjoyed our stay.

We stayed here for three days and found the hotel to be convenient. It is located at Sudder Street which has several budget hotels. It is very close to important places, like Park Street and Indian museum.

Even though the room was small, it was comfortable. The room service was taking a lot of time. The breakfast buffet was decent. The taste of the food was average. The hotel also has a small bar at the ground floor which has TV screens showing sports. The staff was generally cooperative, however, they had their limitations. There was a time when we kept calling the reception for around an hour, and nobody picked up the phone.

Dear,travelers.
I have a really bad experience with this hotel.I booked this hotel via booking.com for 2 nights stay. On the day I arrived( March 25th) I showed up to find out that there are no rooms for my group. The staff said irresponsibly that I have not response their confirmation e-mail. The point is I already put all my credit card info as a guarantee and did everything as booking.com requires. I have to make another hotel booking with booking.com staff.
5days later, I recieved the 'No show' email from booking.com saying that they have to charge me for not showing up( the hotel informed booking.com that I didn't show up in order to hide their mistakes and refused to be responsible for their action) This is so selfish and I wanna tell all the traveler, please avoid booking this hotel.

We just stayed three nights in Novemeber, 2012 based on reviews which were extrmely axageratred. Our experience was a night mare for a three a hotel incorrectly rated three and half stars. We think it was like a Dharamshala with untolerable odor in the room. The rooms were damp and very untidy and the linen and towels did not look clean with yellowish color. Hotel managment showed us other rooms which were also not better than others. Outside the window trash is every where with untolerable smell. The outside location is very dirty, smelly and run down that it is impossible to walk on the side walk. The breakfast is like a soup kitchen type with inadequate food and flies are all around ready to join the guest. At night the hotel staff sprays to kill mosquitos which are in abundance all around the hotel and isnide the room. if I knew the reality definitely would not have booked this hotel even free of cost.

Just checked out from this hotel. This hotel is a very average tourist kind of hotel not meant for those asking for privacy..space and luxury. Checked late night at super deluxe room number 110. Haven't seen such a small and strangely decorated room ever. Room was a tiny room with no space to walk....bathroom was just opposite the bed...doors fully made of glass...once you are inside bathroom evthng is visible from bedroom!!! So embarrassing for a family. Next day we asked for room change we were given 309 which is deluxe but at least breathable.... But we had to pay for super deluxe only...which was a wrong thing on their part. In the middle of this room change....I suddenly remembered that I have not taken my watch... I called the reception immediately but even without checking they said they found nothing...called again second time.. Same reply..then we spoke strictly and told that it is not possible the watch is expensy and we will take action....within 10 mints they got the watch!!! Managment can check this from their staff regarding this incident!! Better housekeeping staff reqd to avoid such incident!!! Find below pros and cons.....................................................Pros 1- excellent location. 2- food quality is good. Cons.. 1..extremely small room 2. No privacy. U can hear someone sneezing in next room and flush sound of next room.3..unprofessional house keeping 4..price beyond expectations ( we paid 4500) per night.5..not a family luxury hotel

For someone who has worked in the travel industry for many years and has stayed in low grade hotels right through to some of the finest properties in the world, this joke of a hotel has to have been the worst I have ever stayed in.

To sum up... I was told that there were no twin rooms available having had a twin confirmed directly by the hotel. 3 different couples checked in after us on the same day and all received twins, all having to call their travel agent who in-turn threatened to cancel their contract with the hotel unless their guests received twin rooms.

We decided to try the hotels's restaurant on our 3rd night, both ordered local and international cuisine if you can call it that.
Both of us were sick all night along with diarrhoea for 2 days down to their food. We had eaten all over Calcutta the majority along Park Street and even the Oberoi which was superb.

To top it all off we were both bitten badly on our backs with over 25 bites each from BED BUGS.

This place is not fit to operate and please avoid at all costs.

I would be interested to see the hotel's reply if they are capable.

I booked a room for 3 but when we checked in the receptionist told us the 3rd person had to sleep on the floor!!! I called the manager who was not helpful at all. We were forced to book a second room. Beware the rooms all so small and on checking out we found insects in the bed! Its called "spa hotel" but there is no spa centre at all! So I will never go back there!!

agoda help me book to book the room. It is a nice website to book any room. The hotel and rooms are not clean, and big. They have bed bugs but don't care about it. The bathroom showers doesn't work properly and the hotel authorities are very reluctant, they don't want to fix it. The breakfast is very poor. The hotel is over rated.

What are the directions to get from Kolkatta airport to the hotel please?
Answer from Ramesh S
Kozhikode, India16 contributions4 helpful votes
The best way is to take a taxi. If you opt for Uber or Ola they operate on GPS navigation. So you only need to enter the hotel name. Besides they are much cheaper and better than the old taxis of Kolkata. Walk able distance from Park Street station to Sudder street. The hotel is behind the Museum on the road going along its Northern boundary wall. I'm sure if you reach there you will be directed by someone.

Central location, beds were very comfortable but it was busy whilst I was there & breakfast service was quite bad, they ran out of items & I had to ask three times for an omelette as they kept serving people coming after us first, when breakfast arrived it was two solid fried eggs.
