The haveli experience is awesome. So many interesting artefacts strewn all around. Rooms are nice. Rooftop restaurant is an experience in itself. Food was too good. But our stay was very short yet memorable.
Had a lovely weekend at Umaid Bhawan, Mayur and his team looked after us exceptionally well. Room was clean, food was delicious, and we were given local tips and advice whenever we needed it. Thanks for looking after us so well.
Would recommend this to everyone who wishes to visit Jaipur. The ambiance was truly pleasurable and the breakfast was another thing that stood out. Even the staff was friendly and helpful. Had a great experience here.
Had an excellent stay, food was really good specially the laal maas. Hygiene levels were maintained properly Plus hotel had an amazing heritage interior that looked so unique and posh. View from the Terrence restaurant and the infinity pool is just amazing !!!!
My wife made an advance booking between 13 Feb 21 to 17 Feb 21, room booked was Royal Suite. On arriving exhausted from a flight to the Hotel at 13 Feb 21 noon 3:30 PM approx. the hotel reception desk person checks me in and offers me a Royal Deluxe Room saying it is a Royal Suite (which later I realise is a downgrade & half the price of the room booking that was made). On the 3rd Day while I & my wife are relaxing and in cab to come back to hotel from one of the historical monument visit, me and my wife discuss about the room size, and then I check the hotel @Agoda. To my surprise the photo of the room we got is same as to the Royal Deluxe room in which we are staying and not the Royal Suite that we booked. I raised this concern to both the Hotel booking site as well as the Hotel Manager. The SCAM Starts Here: The Hotel Manager with 1000% confidence comes to me and tries to show around the property and tries to convince me that the room I got is a Royal Suite & not Royal Deluxe. The smarty pant thinks we are illiterate and never stayed in a hotel before. He gives me a BS reason of 3 occupancy and 4 occupancy room which are shown in images of Agoda for Royal Suite and not for 2 occupancy. He then concludes that the Royal Deluxe room that I got is a 2 occupancy Royal Suite and give me an upgrade for 1 night to solve the matter. I deny the upgrade as he was not doing any good will and charity by offering me an upgrade. I had paid 4 nights upfront for the so call upgrade that he was offering. The hotel has a transport service and is being managed by Mr. Bhatti (yet one more scammer). He offers cabs for visit and the drivers will take you to lunch and places (claiming the restaurant chef is a royal chef or the shopping store is authorised government store) where your hard earned money will be royally ripped off! From 13th Feb till 17th Feb I had opted his cab service twice and the chauffeur will act so friendly and like your own brother or relative to win your trust. The minute you agree to visit the places the chauffeur says, is the minute the chauffeur starts making his commission. The trip in an AC cab to Agra from Jaipur cost 6.5k (excluding Toll) and the cab driver will say he has got a guide ready for you in Agra and every person in the cab will ask for tip. Jaipur - The Pink City should be renamed to Jaipur - The TIP City. I was given a chauffeur (Mr. Salim) who never switch on the cab AC in spite of telling him more than a dozen times. Each time he gave me lame reasons like the cab AC nob is not working or the AC is down. The whole reason for not switching on the AC was to save fuel and make maximum profit! The Hotel room service is a negative. Call for Iron & Iron board, at least 4-5 times and then they will give you a reason that the iron & iron board is in another guest room and will take time. Try calling reception and the phone will go unattended. On Agoda says Airport pick up is free & included in fare but I had to pay for that too!! Breakfast is third class if compared with a 4 Star hotel. On the day on check out, finally the reception accepted the fact that I was given a wrong room and I am still waiting for a refund to be delivered. Food is highly over-priced. A butter naan here is 180 INR & a butter Naan in ITC Rajputana is lot lower than they offer. With a lot of hope and excitement a trip to Jaipur was started but after 4-Days I am more excited about the fact that I am leaving the place. Go here only to get ripped off with all your hard earned money!…
