The staff at the Red Frog are so nice and so helpful! Stephanie at the front desk was very friendly, always greeted us with a smile and offered to help. Mario, the manager, was also amazing. They made us feel well taken care of. The grocery store at the resort is small, but has many of the basics (and a little more) that you may need. Very convenient. We had an amazing 3 bedroom villa - it was clean, comfortable, spacious and the air conditioning worked well (which was appreciated given the jungle heat and humidity). We had access to a golf cart, which was essential to get around. Walking would take a long time. A highlight was seeing Capuchin monkeys and sloths as we were driving around the resort. The spa is in a beautiful setting, worth seeing. The massage was so relaxing. The zip line tour was fun, although each line was shorter and slower than those in Costa Rica. It is a moderately challenging activity, is not for those afraid of heights, and be sure to use bug spray or wear long pants. I highly recommend booking a private dinner in your villa. Chef Yalilia and Raphael made amazing dinners for our family. Two of the best meals we had in Panama! The Pointe was a great casual place for dinner. If you go into Bocas del Toro for dinner, consider Ultimo Refugio. We enjoyed our seaside meal. Nacho Mammas Taco Bar (next to the resort) on the beach was perfect for lunch. Lastly, I recommend a day trip to Zapatilla Island for snorkeling. Lunch afterwards at Rest Alfonso was fresh and delicious (lobster, shrimp, fish).

Our stay at the Red Frog Resort could not have been more perfect. This resort offers the right combination between resting and restoring, to fun and adventure! This place has it ALL! Although the weather can be rainy at times, given that it is an actual rain forest/jungle, it makes for the perfect place to cuddle up and enjoy relaxing days listening to the soothing rain and watching the calming clouds dance about the sky. In contrast, on sunny tropical days you are steps away from the most beautiful and amazing beaches that literally take your breath away! With Crystal clear water, abundance coral riffs, and expansive seashore for long romantic walks we were in Paradise! The food was excellent, there are four dinning options that caters to every possible craving you could have. From the quick to go food options at the local market, to the bar by the beach where you can enjoy Maracuya margaritas (my favorite!) and delicious bar food options. And of course there was la Rosa restaurant, and Punta Lava which offers the catch of the day and delicious pizza, one of my husbands favorite. And he’s a big pizza critic. There’s also a restaurant at the local hostel, I forget the name, that offers vegetarian and vegan options as well as traditional Latin dishes. All these restaurant options just minutes from our door steps. Not to mention having access to an array of restaurants at the main island, which is a short water taxi ride. Within 30 minutes we were enjoying an all American juicy burger, and on other occasions we ventured off to a Thai restaurant and other cool spots by the water. We can’t say enough about the staff that runs Red Frog. We experienced exceptional service from the second we were picked up at the airport by the Red Frog shuttle, to the water taxi that shuttled us to the pristine and private Red Frog resort island, everyone was friendly, so welcoming and super helpful. The hiking and zip lining were so much fun! We would also recommend their spa, the massage therapist were top of the line. We can’t say enough about our amazing experience at Red Frog Resort, you’ll just have to go and experience it for yourself and enjoy the magic of this hidden gem in the Panama archipelago.

I came here on a day pass. The day pass takes you to a pool and beach called Turtle Beach, which is just over a hill from Red Frog Beach. I took the first boat over, and arrived at about 9:30 am. i had the pool, restaurant and beach to myself. I went for a walk on the beach and then walked back to where i started along the road. When I returned, still ha the beach to myself. It was a little too quiet for me, so I wandered over to Red Frog Beach around 10:45. There were many more (like 20 or 30) people on the beach there. I wandered back to the pool around 11:30 and swam in the pool for about 30 minutes. A handful of people were sitting near the pool by then. I headed back to Bocas at noon.

We booked Red Frog for our honeymoon because we were confident they could provide us with the luxury experience they promised. To say they failed to meet these expectations would be an understatement.

We booked a one bedroom ocean view jungle lodge and were very excited based on the photos and descriptions of the room. When we arrived at red frog we were told we could not stay in that room because it had a water issue and we were moved to a room without an ocean view. While I understand the issue may have been out of their control this was never communicated to us until we arrived.

The Villa we were put in had the hot water go out three times despite the maintenance crews best efforts to repair it. Additionally the TV was broken and never worked despite several repair attempts. Having maintenance come to the unit to try fix something every day is not what I was expecting based on the price we paid.

At our request when the jungle lodge became available we were moved into it. Instead of moving us into the jungle lodge we booked we were moved into a studio with no living area, no closets, no kitchen table and a unit missing many of the amenities described on the website. When I brought this up to reservations they told me this is the room we booked. If this is the case then red frog is guilty of some very deceptive advertising.

To make matters worse the air conditioner did not work and they were unable to repair it. They also insisted that the air conditioner worked when it clearly did not (displaying an error code) and the unit was extremely hot making it difficult to sleep. We also had a malfunctioning bathroom door that locked us out and a microwave that did not work.

When we checked out they attempted to tack on another $100 a night more than we agreed to pay when we booked!!! I brought all these issues to the attention of their manager Mario. He assured me they would “make this right” and stated that they were having a meeting about it that day. Despite my numerous attempts to contact him over the last two weeks Mario has not gotten back to me.

I’ve never written a negative review but I feel like I need to let people know so they don’t get scammed the same way we did. I tried to give red frog a chance to make this right but they chose to ignore me instead. I would not stay at the resort again nor would I recommend it to anybody.

My friend and I were staying in Bocas town for a few days, but wanted to explore outside of Isla Colon. We found the Red Frog Beach office that had a cool video of their villas and ziplining. Justine was really helpful with providing different types of accommodation the resort offered: villas, jungle lodge and condos. We ended up booking the condo, since it was perfect for just 2 people. Our condo was amazing! Brand new condo with fast wifi, community pool, and an amazing view. Our condo was walking distance from the beach and restaurants, so it was fairly easy to get around. But if you decide to get a villa, I would recommend renting a golf cart, otherwise they do offer free shuttle transport. The drinks at The Point were amazing!!! Ask for Sergio, the bartender! Overall, great experience

First off, Daniela was great in booking our reservations and answering all our questions and concerns. She really set us up to have an amazing vacation. Mario and Sergio were great at welcoming us and showing us around. We really liked the daily updates that were sent to our WhatsApp letting us know schedules of the restaurants and activities. Rafiel, at the La Rosa Restaurant, was very accommodating and attentive to our young kids needs. The restaurant had a great variety and was better than the restaurants we ate at our prior for the price. It is a great place to hang out during the day. It has a really nice pool and easy access to the beach. The Red Frog has beautiful beaches and hilltop views. We highly recommend renting a Golf Cart to get around and seeing it all. The Beach Front Villas were spacious and luxurious. We had our own private pool and beach access. The entire staff was really great and friendly overall. We are definitely coming back with family and friends. Thank you Red Frog for the memorable experience!

We were really excited to get here and have the Resort life for a week. But…the property is not what was expected at all. There is only one (very bad) restaurant on the property, which would be ok if you we not in a very remote place. There is only one other choice for dinner on the beach at La Palma and one other choice for lunch at Nacho Mammas on the beach. Both good places. But after a week, it’s the same food over and over. The resort itself has seen better days. The golf carts they use for guests are fairly gross and dirty and everything costs extra. Bicycle are $55 a day. Ridiculous. To go where? Boat tours are 300% more expensive there too. Go to Selina and book everything there. The resort itself to stay is super overpriced for what you receive, which is basically just a room with no real resort ammenties.

My boyfriend and I stayed in Villa 86 which is Casa De Jama. The house is stunning with a beach front property view. Spent several days at the beach club pool which had impeccable service. Umberto greeted us and made sure we had towels every time we arrived. La Rosa also has a wonderful happy hour menu. We ate dinner at La Rosa which I highly recommend as well. The restaurant has a wonderful view overlooking the ocean. The Villa is within walking distance to both of the beaches and reception area. There is no need to rent a golf cart when staying at this Villa. At the end of the vacation, we spent our time renting ATV's from Flying Pirates which I highly recommend (bring clothes that you don't mind getting dirty). It's a great way to explore the jungle. There's a few restaurants that you can stop at on the trail with a beautiful view of the ocean. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at Red Frog. I highly recommend this resort!

We were in Bocas town and decided to spend a day at Red Frog on a day pass. Terrific free boat ride to and from the resort. The greeting center was staffed with friendly staff and a little tram took us to the restaurant and beach area. Had ceviche which was delicious and spent the day walking on the incredible beach and hanging out at the infinity pool. Lovely bar serving alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks at reasonable prices. I believe the day pass was $35 and lunch was very reasonable too. Probably not a great spot for kids. Would definitely go back.
