Huge gardens with lovely trees, monkeys, lizards and peacocks. The rooms are simple but with lots of character. The restaurant served us an amazing curry selection - one of the best on our whole trip. A highlight was using their bicycles to ride around the ancient ruins in the late afternoon once it had cooled down. A very hot part of the country!
Its good to stay in at least one place that harps back to the past Huge rooms with comfy beds, excellent Sri Lankan breakfast and great evening meal The location is just a short cycle to the ancient city Cycling around Anuradhapura with a guide is such the best way to get a feel of this massive peice of history
Stayed two nights. Great location, perfect for our day of biking around to all the great sights around here. At this price we expect cleaner refrigerator and bathroom, larger beds and better food. All shuts down c 9.30 pm which was great for us particularly after long hot days outside.

It was quite musty when we went in but was ok after the A/C was turned on for a while. No mosquito nets or plug in repellent machine meant we were bitten throughout the night. The food was above average / relatively good and was served as multiple courses ie. appetizer/soup, main, dessert, which meant that the meal takes well over an hour. The restaurant…
