Liked · This place was amazing! The staff from top to bottom was extremely friendly, polite and very accommodating. Our river view room was very clean and extremely comfortable. We got engaged during our trip and came back to a beautiful set up on our bed. The bathroom was great, very clean, with good control of the water temperature and great water pressure. Breakfast was delicious! Our favorite were the natural fruit juices- papaya in particular. We wish we knew this was a chain hotel so that we could have also stayed at their other locations while in Peru. We will definitely recommend this property to others and will look into the Hotel Ferre chain when we return.
We stayed in a room facing the river, which was breathtaking. The train tracks are right outside the hotel and there are a bunch of restaurants, bars, and shops within walking distance. The water was warm and the bed was comfortable. They held our bags all day for our Machu Picchu trip until we took the train home.
This hotel is sandwiched between train tracks and a fast flowing river. We were lucky to have a room at the back overlooking the river. The sound of the river was quite loud when we opened our window but as we kept the window closed overnight the muted sound of the river soon lulled us to sleep after a busy day at Machu Picchu. The room had everything we needed including a huge comfortable bed and a large shower cubicle. I was delighted to find a fridge in our room as I only drink cold drinks and don’t particularly like lukewarm bottled water. We were able to buy bottled sparkling water from a shop a few doors along from the hotel. We had no problem with wi-fi in our room or in the lobby. The hotel served a good breakfast in the large room on the top floor, and as we arrived at a quiet time we were able to find a table overlooking the river. …
Great Stay at this hotel in Machu Picchu town, Hot water, wifi, comfortable beds. The staff was super helpful and very accommodating. We got massages that were awesome and reasonably priced. The best part was the view. Make sure to ask for a room facing the river.
Very odd layout. Great for railroad buffs as the tracks are literally outside the front door. Awesome view of the river and mountains from the dining room. Our room was in the centre of the hotel. The only windows opened into the main hallway, so we had to keep them closed and draw the curtains. Nice and clean. Good breakfast. As everyone here is likely heading to or coming from Machu Picchu, it's a good choice for a night in a tourist town, but opt for rooms near the back. Helpful friendly staff. Easy walk to the main part of the town.
