One of the best "Zimmer"experience we had! Beautiful and spacious apartment with a big terrace with a view on the desert (clean view) Very quiet neighborhood, easy parking. Hen is a very warm welcoming host that is listening and realizing your requests. Certainly not the last time we will visit our Desert Home.

Desert home is in a quiet setting, at the edge of Mitzpe Ramon. Very silent at night.
The villa offers all amenities and is decorated with taste, sophistication and warmth. The Israeli-style breakfasts are delicious and plentiful. Our host Chen was very helpful and full of good advice about Mitzpe Ramin and its surroundings.
A very enjoyable stay.

Desert Home is a wonderful little collection of magical apartments. I can only speak for apartment #5, but I can tell you it was just beautiful - totally private with plenty of space to spread out, both indoors and out. With the two sliders open, the indoor and outdoor space blend together as one, and provide a cool breeze during all but the the hottest hours of the day. The view of the sunset from #5 was spectacular. The breakfast each morning was huge and delicious (I requested and got a fully vegan breakfast that was perfectly wonderful). The owners obviously take great pride in Desert Home, and the place is really well kept. My favorite part is that the deep bathtub in #5 basically sits outside if you open the slider to the patio - a bath with a killer view (but totally private, even from the main part of the apartment if you want). Desert Home beats a conventional hotel any time, and I highly recommend it!

The Desert Home is simply fabulous! We booked four rooms (the B&B only has five altogether) for four nights. Everybody - young and old alike - was thrilled. The self-catering rooms are very large, the bathrooms are spacious (we loved the bathrobes), and the terraces are great. Everything is spotlessly clean. The Desert Home is located in a quiet street, but close to a number of restaurants and within walking distance of the former industrial area that now houses organic shops, jazz clubs, etc. The breakfast seems to be legendary! Huge quantities and tremendous variety. What a treat. Our party of seven ate in Chen's dining room/kitchen, but breakfast on your terrace is an option. We had breakfast there the last morning, with birds singing in the palm tree right beside the balcony. Chen is the perfect hostess, always attentive and helpful but never intrusive. I've stayed elsewhere in Mizpe Ramon, but from now on the Desert Home will be my first choice.

They thought of everything - from the candles next to the bath, to the little plate of chocolate in the fridge when you arrive, to the sketchpad of desert scenery - the Desert Home is meticulously prepared for the traveler who wants to be pampered but doesn't know it yet! The location is in a quiet residential area and it is a 20 minute walk to the visitor center and the start of the hiking trails. The beautiful breakfast is brought to your room at the time of your choosing. Overall, a wonderful stay at a reasonable price. You won't regret it!
We also experienced the wi-fi as poor (it was down for many hours). But, in true Desert Home fashion, they have a selection of DVDs to choose from. Also, the hot-tub could be described as a luke-warm tub of water with no jets.
Bring cash because they don't take credit cards.

We only stayed here one day but had to move on with our schedule, unfortunately! Beautiful and thoughtfully decorated room with kitchenette. Chen was very helpful, making our jeep tour reservation for us and bringing us the best Israeli breakfast of our entire 2-week trip. Even the soap was a special and artisanally made! Nice desert-view balcony with table and chairs made for a delightful breakfast. Plenty of milk in the fridge and eggs, in case we wanted that for breakfast. Just beautiful. - Tim & Wendy from Staten Island, NY.

Would highly recommend Desert Home for anyone looking for a place to stay in the area. From the moment we met the owner to when we checked out, all our needs were taken care of. The room itself was large, the bathroom luxurious, and the balcony a delightful place to watch the sun setting in the evening, and eating a delicious breakfast in the morning. We plan to return.

Mitzpe Ramon is pretty unique - almost like a town that time forgot, silent at night (except for HaChavit which is a really good restaurant and proof there is life after 8 p.m.) and you imagine that everyone who lives there has an interesting story, but what does a visitor really know? It is a perfect base for exploring the Ramon Crater and Desert Home (Bayit Bamidbar) is a wonderful place to stay. Unobtrusive hosts, excellent breakfast brought to your room, luxury bathroom amenities including soap from Faran (you can and should purchase products at store in nearby industrial plaza- great for gifts). It is a very comfortable bed and breakfast which was accurately recommended by several friends who have stayed there. No, its not Beresheet which is magnificent and perhaps worth the eye watering cost if you can afford it, but Desert Home provided a lovely setting for our 3 days in MR.
