Barry from Shaka Vans set up the perfect camp site for our family. The location was beautiful. We really enjoyed the campsite amenities: the bonfire, the tables and chairs for eating, the camp chairs and cushions for lounging by the fire. Barry took care of everything, clearly explained the campsite operations, and made sure we were warm. He was available 24/7 in case we needed him. We camped during the winter and though it was cold at night, the heaters in the tents helped. The location of the campsite allowed us to hike unimpeded in the area, a real treat.

It is hard to know what to expect from a tent that someone else is setting up for you in the desert... But, Craig's tent exceeded our expectations by a lot! When we arrived at the small camp he setup for us, we were so pleasantly surprised. There was a beautiful roomy tent, with floor mats all-over, and very comfortable mattresses, clean pillows, and blankets. Outside the tent, there was a little pile of wood setup for a fire, along with a fire burner to start it up, there was a clean barbecue, with clean barbecue tools, night light, fully charged and ready to go when it got dark, outside floor chairs/sofas, a small cooler, and lots of water pitchers with faucets. We setup the fire, watched the stars, lit up the barbecue, at dinner, played some card games, and finally went to sleep. One short night felt like a week away from the busy metropolis life. The next day we woke up before sunrise to go watch that amazing spectacle nearby, we then hiked a bit, and came back for a nap, lunch, and only then we left that camp. This was so amazing, and we highly recommend this experience!

When the conditions at home exceed any average B&B chosen, we found a perfect solution to enhance the family vacation experience in a unique area and a magical view of Ramon Crater. Camping in terrain conditions, isolated and confined to a fascinating environment that allows for intimacy and concentration in the family atmosphere, without sacrificing the pampering and comfort of SHAKAVANS. Craig does not leave until everything really perfect. He is at our disposal as much as required. Quality and relaxed service gives the unique experience in the heart of the desert a high added value.

Company of 10 spent 1 night with the amazing Shakavans in the Ramon Crate, 3 tents and a shower trailer. After a long day of wet, cold desert trails we have arrived at the perfect camp, located in a perfect spot, amazed by the design and the care about avery little detail to make our stay cozy, comfortable and relaxed. From kids to adults we had the best of time and have only praises for dear Craig who made sure our stay will be such a great success. CRAIG, you are the king of Galamping! Your love for your buisness shows and reflects all around, it was our pleasure to be your guests. Keep up the good work, you deserve avery compliment for it. Hope to schedule again soon, this year and every year...

I was looking for a unique way to celebrate my 7 yo daughter's birthday ( was there will the whole family, 3 kids 2-7) and after a lot of searching I came upon Shakavans. Craig was absolutely amazing, made sure we were well taken care of. There is no real way to describe the experience but Craig put us in an amazing spot, set up a beautiful camp with everything we could need.
The caravan was new, everything was nice and clean. Very cosy...
Let's just say we're going to have to make this at least an annual family getaway if not more...

Such a special and unusual experience!
Even though we originally came there to watch a meteor shower, we all agreed that it was only part of the full experience and even the main part.
Craig sent us the location that morning, away from everything but still 10m drive to Mitzpe. The scenery at our spot was breathtaking. We had 2 caravans which were new, very well equipped, clean and looked great. In addition we had *everything* we needed to have a great evening outside, all in all - just bring your clothes and food.
After a very photogenic sunset (we couldn’t stop taking pictures), the amount of stars we could see was spectacular even for the kids who went to sleep early.
In the morning, that cup of coffee in front of that view, was perfect.
During the whole stay, we could really feel how Craig’s experience made it all so perfect, even in the little things like the angle they positioned the caravan.
Simply unforgettable experience, will definitely go back there!

Had a night of friend in the desert together with ShakaVans.
Had everything organized from A to Z, just coming to the spot and enjoying ourselves.
Craig was helpful and amazing the whole process and helped us get whatever request we needed.
The experience was magical and will be remembered for a long time.
