this hotel is nothing like anything in have encountered before - so i will just tell you and let you decide if it is good for you. it has so much upsides and downsides its baffaling.
hotel is arranged in about 4 floors of rooms. they are cosy comfy and good for you if you dont plan to stay overtime in your room. upside - comfy etc... downsize - quite small.
activities are jeep riding in owesome "abir" jeeps. yep the same ones the israeli uses for cross country rides- those are serious road monsters. . upside - if your a sporty type its fun. downsize - if you planed on dust free and air conditioned tour - please stay at the hotel. this is not for you.
hotel also offers archery tournament. in its own scrapeyard back yard. i am not jokeing about they scrapyard term. it contains heavy garage tools and 2 scavengered jeeps...
bows and arrows are indeed olympic type ones but at poor condition. fun for they kids but if you planned on semi proffetional level and above - this is not for you.
food- sorry to tell you guys - no downside there. food was owesome ! really really good !
staff - the staff of this hotel is strangly happy nice helpfull and rediate self happiness.
very nice, very helpfull. i really mean that about happiness. no clue why but they are a happy lot.
guide of jeep tour knows tons of stuff about many things. i was shure he was wrong on one account but when i cheacked it on the net if tourned out he was right.
swiming pool- none existant.
summery - this is a hostel/2-3 star hotel that is quite spartan and offers the basics of needs.
it is adaquate for pps who like to tour around and do tons of activities and trips and view the hotel as a place to shower and sleep. othewise - this is not the place for you.
location - smack near the "field school" of mizpe ramon which allows for many interesting hours (3-5) usually of education about deset life. otherwise location is not very importand because this city is really small...
Some members of the staff work very hard but still...
There must be better places to stay in this little town
food was simple home cooking
beds were ok
the bathroom was tiny
a stopover if you must on the way to Eilat

The hotel itself is outdated and the rooms are of a low standard and some things were broken and not working, such as a TV that didn't turn on, a bathroom door that didn't close properly, and when we got to the hotel manager he told us that we broke it and it was because of us and even raised his voice.
In short, not forced.

It was a good thing my in-laws brought extra towels because the ones that came with the room looked like they were a decade old.
Breakfast was provided but I'd ended up getting a salad and coffee from the cafe outside every single day.
I don't need a 5* place but c'mon, I've been in backpacker hostels that seem luxurious compared to this.
And to add injury to insult, it's expensive!
Find somewhere else. You'll thank me.
I called for directions on the way to the hotel and the manager was rude, screamed at me and then hung up. Upon entering I was surprised by the messiness of the hotel. The reception/manager/owner was the rudest person I have ever met. The so-called "spa" they have is nothing more than a dirty sauna.
A long story short, I refused to stay at the hotel and refused to pay for the room. The owner said I would be charged for the room so I called my Israeli aunt to help sort it out. He screamed at my aunt and then bellowed at me when I asked for the telephone back, "I'm not your friend! Don't you tell me what to do!". After that incident I took matters into my own hands and attempted to grab the reservation form with my credit card information on it. The owner grabbed by arm (I had visible bruises and scrapes) and ripped the reservation form out of my hand!
My husband wanted to me to call the police after I told him about my encounter (he was not there). It was Friday before Shabbat and I did not want to spend time at a police station so I drove 2 hours back to Tel Aviv instead. I have never run so fast from a hotel in my life. Thankfully I had booked the room on American Express and called them right away to explain the situation. I was never charged.
Stay far, far away from this hotel.
However if it is a part of a package deal including desert tour and stargazing its definitely wortwhile.
Enjoy the surroundings Ramon crater, the wildlife, the starry night and dont expect too much of the hotel.... than you will be OK
