i came to this hotel as part of my family group of 10 persons. thats 5 adults and 4 childrens and one senior member.

this hotel is nothing like anything in have encountered before - so i will just tell you and let you decide if it is good for you. it has so much upsides and downsides its baffaling.

hotel is arranged in about 4 floors of rooms. they are cosy comfy and good for you if you dont plan to stay overtime in your room. upside - comfy etc... downsize - quite small.

activities are jeep riding in owesome "abir" jeeps. yep the same ones the israeli uses for cross country rides- those are serious road monsters. . upside - if your a sporty type its fun. downsize - if you planed on dust free and air conditioned tour - please stay at the hotel. this is not for you.

hotel also offers archery tournament. in its own scrapeyard back yard. i am not jokeing about they scrapyard term. it contains heavy garage tools and 2 scavengered jeeps...
bows and arrows are indeed olympic type ones but at poor condition. fun for they kids but if you planned on semi proffetional level and above - this is not for you.

food- sorry to tell you guys - no downside there. food was owesome ! really really good !

staff - the staff of this hotel is strangly happy nice helpfull and rediate self happiness.
very nice, very helpfull. i really mean that about happiness. no clue why but they are a happy lot.

guide of jeep tour knows tons of stuff about many things. i was shure he was wrong on one account but when i cheacked it on the net if tourned out he was right.

swiming pool- none existant.

summery - this is a hostel/2-3 star hotel that is quite spartan and offers the basics of needs.
it is adaquate for pps who like to tour around and do tons of activities and trips and view the hotel as a place to shower and sleep. othewise - this is not the place for you.

location - smack near the "field school" of mizpe ramon which allows for many interesting hours (3-5) usually of education about deset life. otherwise location is not very importand because this city is really small...

I didnt bother to check before I came here to a weekend thats highlight was a our to the fameous mt karkom.I must admit that it was a great dissapointment. The hotel is run down and neglected. The tour was in an open truck 4 hours there and back(so cold) with a guide that knew nothing. The food was ok but the general feeling was that someone was for quick money and couldnt care less about wwhat his cleints felt.
Some members of the staff work very hard but still...

We stayed on the Seder night with the whole family, we booked 6 rooms in total and received rooms with defects and disgraceful treatment. Every one of the rooms had defects, for example in our room in the shower there was only a trickle of hot and cold water, when I contacted the hotel manager on the first evening about this he said he would check and take care of it. Actually no We did nothing and when my husband came to complain about it again he was told that we broke the shower!?! And that was the manager's answer to all the defects in our other rooms and the other guests staying in the hotel going down and on and on) In addition, when I approached to ask if there was a bigger room for my parents, I was told by the manager that we probably did not declare the whole family that came and that we had more people arrive than agreed, which of course was not the case, and so he continued with the dinner - Seder night when we found out that all the seats in the room were taken The food manager claimed that we should have reserved a place together and move the other guests!?! And only after due process did we find a place in the lobby. When we approached the manager after the holiday in order to shorten the vacation because of the sadness and the deficiencies, he shouted and insulted my father, me and everyone in the family who came to talk to him. If it was possible to give this place a failing grade, that's exactly what it would get from us. Keeps his soul away.

Not at all satisfied with the hotel, if the place can be called a hotel, we were there on Seder night, and there were no basic things, if it's 4 glasses on Seder night that not everyone had, which is the most basic thing needed for Seder night, in addition, not everyone had the other signs like an egg, lettuce, etc.
The hotel itself is outdated and the rooms are of a low standard and some things were broken and not working, such as a TV that didn't turn on, a bathroom door that didn't close properly, and when we got to the hotel manager he told us that we broke it and it was because of us and even raised his voice.
In short, not forced.

I'd went with my now in-laws a couple of years back so I didn't really get a say with where we would put up since the booked us as a group. It's been two years something and yet the stay sticks out in my mind and not in a good way. How do I start? The rooms were small, TV had bad reception. Bed mattresses were thin and stained. I slept in my coat for the 2 nights I was there because I couldn't bear to use the thin smelly blankets.

It was a good thing my in-laws brought extra towels because the ones that came with the room looked like they were a decade old.

Breakfast was provided but I'd ended up getting a salad and coffee from the cafe outside every single day.

I don't need a 5* place but c'mon, I've been in backpacker hostels that seem luxurious compared to this.

This place is crap, I would rather fist myself then stay here to be honest. I stayed earlier and was put in a room where I could hear the toilets habits of the guy in the room next door to me, who quite possibly had the squirts. I was electrocuted by my pre ww1 tv. However the best bit is the price.......... Deal or no deal, there is only one person laughing and it's not me.

I've been in backpacking hotels in south america. places that cost 3-4 US dollars a night. they were much better then this place. bed covers are dirty, blankets dirty, rooms smell. bathroom unclean. I would say it resembles a Kibbutz guesthouse, but its much worse.
And to add injury to insult, it's expensive!

Find somewhere else. You'll thank me.

I booked a room here after a night sleeping in Bedouin tents in the desert and was excited at the idea of a Fung Shui hotel in Mitzpe Ramon. I never imagined I would be better off sleeping in a camel corral than a hotel!

I called for directions on the way to the hotel and the manager was rude, screamed at me and then hung up. Upon entering I was surprised by the messiness of the hotel. The reception/manager/owner was the rudest person I have ever met. The so-called "spa" they have is nothing more than a dirty sauna.

A long story short, I refused to stay at the hotel and refused to pay for the room. The owner said I would be charged for the room so I called my Israeli aunt to help sort it out. He screamed at my aunt and then bellowed at me when I asked for the telephone back, "I'm not your friend! Don't you tell me what to do!". After that incident I took matters into my own hands and attempted to grab the reservation form with my credit card information on it. The owner grabbed by arm (I had visible bruises and scrapes) and ripped the reservation form out of my hand!

My husband wanted to me to call the police after I told him about my encounter (he was not there). It was Friday before Shabbat and I did not want to spend time at a police station so I drove 2 hours back to Tel Aviv instead. I have never run so fast from a hotel in my life. Thankfully I had booked the room on American Express and called them right away to explain the situation. I was never charged.

Stay far, far away from this hotel.

The hotel is medioker at best in all aspects, rooms so so, cleaning hmmm, food basic.
However if it is a part of a package deal including desert tour and stargazing its definitely wortwhile.
Enjoy the surroundings Ramon crater, the wildlife, the starry night and dont expect too much of the hotel.... than you will be OK
