Sleep Quality
A few steps from the cliff of Machtesh Ramon, About 900 Meters above sea level, The Silent Arrow Desert Lodge invites you all to breath the coolest desert air and enjoy the inspiration of the desert. For reasons of atmosphere and quality of life, the site is not connected to the electricity grid. We use solar lamps at night time to engage softly with the moon and star light. You are provided with shower and restroom facilities. There is always hot water for showering, which we recycle to water our garden. You are provided with a selfservice common kitchen that is accessorized, clean and tidy (no refrigerator). Free coffee and tea are provided. The site includes a sitting area for you to relax and enjoy the desert landscape. You can light a fire, prepare a potjiekos stew or make a barbecue.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The site, a 10-minute walk outside of Mitzpe, is located on a hill, the site is made up of several tents and small bungalows. There is no electricity, in the kitchen there is gas, you can cook in peace. Mitzpe Ramon is a truly special and very nice place.

Silent Arrow is true to his name. Something in the atmosphere is really special. Interesting for me to see how guests arrive from around the planet, feel in the vibe of the place and slowly synchronized with the silent. Doing the ritual work of the space was really meditative. Dror, the owner, was a very nice person to work with, always appreciate, encouraging, and give true meaning to what is going on.
I will be back my friend.

The trip was rather long from Netanya to Mitspe Ramon. We were so happy to get there. It was this tiny little place on top of a hill. As we entered we were shown the choice of bungalows we had. Absolutely cute. The best bungalow that is outside the main area as a view of the dessert. I would have taken the bed by the window but this bungalow slept 4, so the guys took this one. Robert and I took a comfy and cosy little bungalow close to our friends and of coure the shower. Omer got jis fire started and put the potije on.Everyone was starving when we got there so thank goodness we did have food ready and we entered the salon, kitchen area. I wish I had taken photos, it was beautifull. Fully catered kitchen to cook anything. We all sat down in this cosy kitchen and ate.
Some of us had beers and coffee in the comfortable salon area while the kids drew at the table.
The kids went to sleep and then we joined Omer at the camp fire and had drinks and waited in anticpation for the awesome potjie, potato bread and oh my the onion rings that Rob made.
The guys stayed up late and we went to bed.
The next morning we made a great breakfast. Was more delighted to see the scenary and went for a tiyul.
A lovely stay indeed, thank you to the volunteers who work there, you guys are amazing.

Our stay began when our host neglected to mention on the phone that we could not enter the camp ground until it was almost dark (we came with seven young children and wanted to be a bit settled before dark). Information that we were given over the phone was incorrect. Our family was split up randomly at the campsite and they refused to move us to empty tents. One tent was near the bathroom and reeked of sewage. The sheets we slept on were dirty and sticky. There were definitely not enough toilets and showers to accomodate guests. Upon leaving we requested that the charge be split between my credit card and my husband's credit card only to find out later that they put the charge on only one credit card. The only thing that was pleasant about this place was the view. I would not recomment this place to anyone, especially not to a family.
Btw, no health regulations were kept AT ALL!

חוויה מצויינת. אחלה וויב, שירות מהמם.
אם לברוח למדבר אז לגמרי לשם. קרוב למצפה ולאופציות לטיולים באזור.
הבעלים מקסים וקיבל אותנו באחלה חיוך.

Great experience, great service.
If you run to the desert then completely there. Close to the Mizpe Ramon and options for trips in the area.
The owner is lovely and received us with a nice smile.

Dror, the owner and visionary of this outstanding concept of camping, truly built a dream of his and the world to enjoy. The world is a better place because of people like him. Wonderful 4 night stay with access to a nightly campfire under the Milky Way. Thank you Dror, hope to visit again, SOON.

Beautiful place with Dror, the lovely owner who helped reach maximum chill in minimum time. A breath of (warm) fresh air, some unplugging (electricity-less) and a few minutes drive from Ramon Crater.

Highly recommended!

We looked for quiet place to stay in the desert with desert view AMD a chance to see the stars.
In the website It seemed like a quiet and peacefull place but the place is smaler then It seems in the website and there were a lot of People Who open tents right outside of our dome that We booked.
It wasnt silent at all...
It Can be great place but they need to know when to say that they are full.
We Will not get back again, It is better to open a tent in the desert instead.

The place is OK, to paying 450 NIS for a Bedouin tent is over pricing.
We where enjoying our breakfast, we prepared for ourselves, and the owner came and very aggressively told us the ‘kids cannot stay one second without our guidance’ he seemed that he woke up in a very bad mood and was looking for some one to take it out on.
I will never go back there and recommend you not to go. There are many other similar places but with kind owners that respect their guests.
If you read other reviews you will see this was not a one time event.
