Detailed Reviews
We stayed here 2 nights on Christmas time. This time it's not a good suggestion for travelling to here because it's not the time of lotus blossom. However, we can enjoy the cozzy and quite time (except in the morning, the tourists come through to Hang Mua Cave and climb to the peak).
The restaurant inside the Hang Mua Ecolodge is good with various food, we didn't need to go outside. The staff is so kind and friendly
we can find lots of places for taking photos.
For Hang Mua Ecolodge, the staff is so kind and helpful. The room is quite big and the facilities is working in good condition. Maybe we had a trip in the wet season and this ecolodge is located near the mountains so the atmosphere was a bit of humidity
They do not have the kitchen so we cannot cook ourselves. Most of food we ate at restaurant or bought before coming here.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, we booked multiple bus trips with them, and we were also very grateful for our very early check-in. Apart from that they suggested which sights to see, and prepared some food for when we had to check out before breakfast.
The location is nice if you like to be close to the Mua caves (bonus: free entrance), and the surrounding fields are absolutely beautiful the only downside is that there aren't many restaurants within walking distance. It's a 10 min motorbike ride to the nearest town where you can find other restaurants and a small supermarket.
The room itself wasn't too bad but our biggest complaint has to be the mold in the bathroom that was on the ceiling, partly on the wall and the window. It was also a bit dangerous to step out of the bathtub as it is on an elevated platform and gets slippery after showering.
Be aware that the hotel is within the park (after ticketing), so you can expect lots if not all visitors to passing your room before climbing the mountain but it's quiet at night.

We stayed at Mua Caves Ecolodge for 2 nights and it was great in terms of the location - stunning views from the hike up the rocky mountains, very beautiful views of the lotus pond. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout out stay and do work hard to keep the ecolodge neat and clean despite tourists throwing beer cans and bottles all around. But there's some things you should know: the place is not as serene and isolated as it may seem in photos. It's actually pretty packed with tourists and group activities and can get very noisy and crowded robbing the appeal of the otherwise serene location. Also the rooms were quite alright, as was the private bath out in the backyard... but in general, need a bit of an upgrade, maybe things got a bit rusty due to 2 years of the pandemic, but if it can be restored to its old glory, it would be great.

Stayed in family room.
Pros: Amazing view of the scenery from your room. Because the ecolodge is right at the Hang Mua peak, you can literally roll out of bed and hike up for sunrise (before the crowd arrives). Sunset is also amazing (although more crowded). Restaurant is good (for lunch and dinner) although it closes early for dinner.
Great customer service.
Cons: shower can be tricky (in the family room) as no shower curtains.
There are no lifts. Free breakfast is passable (room for improvement).

we stayed 1 night at this hotel but it is the perfect location to explore NInh Binh, so on arrival we realised that the hotel is located on track for the Hang Mua viewpoint ( So staying at the hotel you do not need to pay for ticket to access this ). we had a room which was basic but had everything you need for the stay, during the day it does get busy in here but at night its so quiet and lovely to sit outside to have a couple of drinks( i would advise to bring your own as no shops nearby) the restaurant was great with a nice selection of dishes. 20-30 mins away is the the Trang An boat tour, this will take you to the famous skull island & is a lovely 2-3 hour boat trip going through many caves and seeing temples

We chose this location for easy access to climbing Mua Caves, but it is about 15 minutes drive into Tam Coc which is the tourist area that has many restaurants.
We stayed in the second storey Family Room with balcony because I wanted to to have a view overlooking the lotus field . The room was large and came with two King Sized beds ,a simple folding chair but no writing table.
The balcony had two reclining chairs with badly stained cushions.
The room had good natural lighting due to two sides of glass panels. It was fairly clean but the room floor was dusty.
It's a 3 star hotel and breakfast provided was passable.
The staff at reception were very friendly and helpful, booking a taxi for us to go to Tam coc for dinner 200K VND two-ways and arranging a driver for us for 1.2 M VND to bring us wherever we wanted to go for a whole day.
At night the entire park becomes very deserted.

The first warning bell sounded when i received a message from the "ecolodge" recommending online check-in "to avoid crowds".... the photos appeared to show a tranquil place! Sure enough, upon arrival, we found ourselves in the middle of a huge crowd of tourists visiting the adgacent lotus lake and the sites on top of the hill which was reached through the territory of the ecolodge. We had to fight our way through a stream of busses and smaller vehicles toward the lodge and argue with the hawkers and gate keepers that we are staying at the hotel. The rooms were very small, and mine did not have hot water - despite assurances that it would. We had to keep curtains closed to avoid curious eyes of the dozens of passersby who were visiting the area. Once the visitors left the territory of the ecolodge at 6pm, the ecolodge's restaurants became the source of excruciating noice- the ecolodge had rented the restaurants to parties who enthusiastically used loudspeakers to sing karaoke.... once the parties were over, around 10pm, the place was ok. The breakfast was from 7am to 9am only, which is a bit too early for a holiday place.

The property is located right at the base of Mua Caves. So it is practically a through-fare and thronged by tourists the entire day.
The rooms are old, dated and very badly appointed. We had a family room with garden view. They do not have sufficient storage or surfaces to keep the stuff or luggage. The kettle for example has no electrical point where it is kept. The chairs were uncomfortable.
The bathroom was the worst. The bath tub has no shower curtain which made it a big mess after a shower.
The staff is extremely curt and there was zero warmth and hospitality.
We happened to reach the property by 8 pm as our car had broken down on the way. Extremely tired after a long drive, we were told to help ourselves with the luggage as they did not have any staff. It was totally dark and did not even look like a hotel or resort as its approach is actually meant for tourists who visit in the day.
The restaurant staff is busy multi tasking during the meals. So we had to try and catch their attention every time we wanted something. It was extremely hot and humid and yet the restaurant air-conditioning wasn’t working during one of our meals.
The tourists can start visiting 7 am onwards. There is no advantage to staying there except if you want to start climbing even earlier which I wouldn’t recommend as the climb is pretty steep and its better to have a few ppl around.
On the check out day , we were all packed up. We left the kids and the luggage in the room to clicks some pictures before checking out. The house keeping staff started pestering the kids to leave room 11.45 and onwards even though their check out time is 12 noon.
By 12.05 , they barged into the room, and started with cleaning the rooms and stripping the beds. When we came back by 12.10 , the kids were sitting their hassled and 2-3 women were going about their work unfettered. Such extremely rude behaviour for 5 minutes delay. Even though all luggage was already packed and stacked.

Stay right in the heart of a tourist attraction, as that’s what this is. Location a great base to get to other places in Ninh Binh - there is a guy who will rent you a moped 200k D a day but remember to go and get some gas or you will run out. Close proximity to the best views in Ninh Binh to catch sunset makes this a worthwhile place to stay. However, it’s an ecolodge for a reason. You’re limited in choice of food options in the restaurant there and the bathrooms could use a little revamp. You will be woken by tourists early in the morning. A redeeming feature is friendly and helpful staff.

This place is absolutely amazing. From the moment we arrived we had the warmest welcome. The staff are friendly and so efficient. The view was phenomenal and the rooms were convenient also free of charge on entering the Hang Mua - one of the most famous tourist attraction in Viet Nam. This ecolodge made my trip a lot!

There are a lot of busses from HaNoi to Ninh Binh. If you have time, you should spend some days in Ninh Binh. You can ask busses ticket to Ninh Binh from your hotel’s reception (or any hotel’s reception in Hanoi Old Quater). It is about 150.000vnd/pax. If you don’t have any time, you can buy daily tour to Ninh Binh at any hotel or travel agents in Hanoi Old Quater.
No there is no swimming pool.
Absolutely getting a taxi. And you can ask the help from your hotel (if you stay in Ninh Binh). It will be easier and cheaper than getting taxi.
Not sure but I the manager speaks perfect English and I'm sure he could sort out any request you make.
I have not seen any such bicycle at the lodge. Maybe, you can negotiate with them in advance to one brought in?
