We just got back from a week in Regency Plaza Hotel and we had great time. The grounds of the Hotel, the pool areas and the beach are very well maintain.The food in the a le carte restaurants is good,especially the Fish market-they even set a table on the beach for us. The rooms were cleaned everyday, and the view from our room was amazing. Unfortunately the room itself especially the bathroom was run down, tired and of a need of proper attention and refurbishment. The Hotel catered mainly for Russian speaking tourists, so communication especially with reception staff was difficult and frustrating at times. But what made our stay so comfortable was the staff, especially the English speaking ones who tried their best and went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible, and to make us feel included. We want to say special thanks to Ahmed Ghazy who worked in the main restaurant and looked after us during meal time.He was always smiling,and it felt like he genuinely cared if we are ok. He even came after work to organise special birthday cake for my husband. Ebrahim the life guard also looked after us by the recreational pool, he was kind and attentive and we enjoyed talking and getting to know his Bedouin traditions.He also made a special birthday surprise for my husband with cocktails and decoration around the pool. Sayed,Salah,and Sobhy they too made sure our stay was pleasant. If you can overlook the state of the room, you can have a very pleasant stay in this hotel.We definitely enjoyed it and made some good memories and friends!

My family of 5 adults have not long returned from a very relaxing holiday in Egypt, staying at the Regency. We were "upgraded" to VIP on arrival which included beautiful seafront facing rooms and the use of the wonderful Royal Restaurant! This hotel was in a massive complex, with beautiful gardens and its own private beach. The staff there could not do enough for you - reception, pool bar service, beach service and such friendly restaurant service. ( Mahmood - you were a star!) The variety of food was great. Plenty of sunbeds by the pools and beach shacks down the beach. You could see that they were completing improvements to all areas after lockdown, including the rooms and gardens. The entertainment was geared more towards the Russian guests, which was fair enough as not many Brits were staying there when we were there. There was however lots going on during the day, Zumba, yoga, beach volleyball, should you wish to join in. We used the hotel's own tours - all were of good value and quality. I'm very glad we chose this hotel. Their staff are their greatest asset!

our trip was exceptional we have never had such a welcome. the reception manager Mr Tamer welcomes us like kings he listened to all our needs for our honeymoon we were in contact even before taking the plane .Mr Tamer is a nice person, kind, polite, welcome throughout the week he does not ask if everyone is fine. I would like to thank the restaurant staff because they were all very helpful and polite; friendly, kind we start with the chef Mohamed who made us excellent dishes he always asked us if it was good is it was very very good even in his remaining oriental we give him 100% for his service are smile his good mood his politeness and on all his delicious dishes. the waiters have prepared a very beautiful decorated table for our wedding. he was always attentive to our needs, he brought us coffee, tea, drinks, our dishes at the table. I thank abd elbaset ahmed, houssam for his politeness, mustapha for his humor, raouffe for that good mood, Tamer for his information on the ingredients, khalid for that cooking. I thank the whole team as well as I is not their name. I really recommend this hotel for couples, families or alone, the cuisine is perfect, the welcome is perfect, the service is perfect. Worst hotel I have been ever been to, extremely slow service, no regular appropriate house keeping My room wasn’t cleaned for 3 days and no one checked up on me, after many phone calls to the house keeping they finally sent their staff to clean my room, my trip was VIP in the royal beach club and no one informed me that we have a separate beach and restaurant until I found this out on my own. No free wifi. The key broke inside the door while I was trying to open it because their room cards wouldnt open my room so when it broke inside the lock they asked me to pay for the lock but I didn’t. Whenever you need any service from 0 inside rooms, your request is simply ignored. Not recommended at all!!

The biggest disappointment was the hotel room itself. Where to start? The light switches were hanging from the wall by the wires. The shower tap was leaking and not fixed well, I was suprised it even worked. The bath was missing a plug, so not really a way to take a bath. The tiny face mirror and towel holder were poorly fixed to the wall and about to fall down. The ventilator in the bathroom was making noise and seemed to work but it didn't blow the steam out of the bathroom. The AC made so much noise that if you used it you couldn't hear the person next to you, so I dont even know if it worked or not cuz I turned it on for 5 seconds. THERE WAS NO WORCKING Wi-Fi or any other kind of internet. The free wifi in the lobby didn't work(download speed average 10kb/s, basically not working). There was an option to pay for the working wifi, but even that didn't reach to the hotel room(only in the lobby). The smell in the canteen and bar was olso terrible. Food was allright but some of the desserts tasted dull.

We booked last minute after researching many Sharm hotels and decided on a deluxe pool room, then on arrival we upgraded to Royale which gave us access to a sea view room and other extras.
We were pretty happy with the room which had a beautiful view of the beach and surrounding gardens. There was a hammock on the terrace too. We had access to an additional restaurant by the beach which was lovely and less hectic than the main buffet and also another section of the beach and its own bar. We spent most days here as there was a nice breeze. The beach had a pier to get to deeper water but you can also walk in through the shallow water. The sea is crystal clear and beautiful but not much coral here,mainly seagrass. Beautiful views out to Tiran Island. There is a pathway between the hotel and the beach which takes you past all the other hotels so you can avoid walking the main road to get to local shops etc. on the beach there are watersports, camel and horse rides.
The resort has lovely gardens, beautiful large pools and plenty of sun beds. The food is good and you can always find something healthy or not, whatever you fancy.
The Italian and oriental a la cartes are also very good, we were impressed by the quality. In the gardens the pizza pasta restaurant was also good but only had a small menu which was good for a lunch time snack ir early dinner.
The areas to improve were in our opinion 1) inclusive wine and beer not available in the a la carte or pizza restaurants only in the buffets ( extra payment) 2. our bathroom was in need of refurbishment. The bath enamel was in poor state 3. Health and safety of some public pathways - rubble left lying around with no signs or protection 4. The constant selling by tradespeople and especially spa staff was annoying. There should be areas designated free from this hassle. Some of them did not accept a no thank you which we understand they are on commission but we are here to relax. Be aware all the spa sellers are competing with each other and get upset if you book with someone else. The hotel spa is focused on massage only, other treatments are advertised but not provided. 5. Entertainment mainly catered for the eastern European guests. There were only a few English and Italians in the resort. 6. Booking a la carte restaurants is via a screen in the lobby which was difficult to use 7. Sports bar not open - under refurb but due to open in March 8.
All the staff we encountered were very friendly and accommodating. We would stay again if we were able to get a similar deal as overall it was very good value for money in a great location.

We stayed at the regency plaza for 10 nights the first night we arrived which was late we got checked into our room by the receptionist musfa. Everything in the room was fine until unfortunately it’s 2am and the air con was leaking against the front of the wardrobe and onto the floor causing a huge puddle, other family members were next door and they had problems with the electrics with the sockets sparking. A night manager came and moved us rooms with no problems and explaining we would meet the hotel manager Mr gohar in the morning. Morning then of course came Mr gohar apologised for the situation the night before and provided us with gold bands we all had been upgraded to ‘vip’ with sea front rooms etc. we just had to wait a few hours for the other room but we were allowed to keep the other rooms until our new ones done.
Rooms were just standard rooms just a better view when upgraded to vip.
Food was shocking to say the least we didn’t even eat at any off the restaurants bar the Italian and we did go down twice to snack bar on beach during the day.
Thank you to restaurant manager in the Italian / fish bar who is called Ahmed we turned up and he was able to fit us in last minute, the chef khaild did not disappoint and the food was spot on. Ahmed on the other hand he went above and beyond every time we were in the restaurant he made sure my kids had everything they needed , he reserved us a table every other day as we would go outside the hotel to eat on the other days . Will provide photo below of Ahmed and the chef Khalid as they deserve the praise.
The beach and sea was really nice we did a boat excursion within the hotel and wow it did not disappoint either we were even lucky the to have the chance to see dolphins out in the sea that view was unreal . The camels on walking along the beach were also nice and friendly as some can be horrible and spit at you I even fed it a banana.
We did another excursion which was a 5 in 1 including quads bedouin tents and camel riding. The quad-ding itself was really good, camels riding wasn’t long at all majority of camels were also horrible spitting at you so half our family didn’t have the experience, good price on the pictures but if you wait a guy will off your a usb of the whole excursion which is worth the money and it gets delivered to hotel next day.
Overall after the first few days of hell it was a decent holiday . Thanks to Mr gohar, Ahmed and Khaild for changing the experience of our holiday . If we could personally give them stars they all would have 5 stars however I did have to rate the hotel and the overall experience.

Returned from a two week stay and have already booked to go back in June.
The staff make this hotel by ensuring you are well looked after. The hotel is great and caters for all ages. I felt that welcomed and comfortable I will be returning as a single female traveller. I have stayed at many hotels in Egypt, the Regency now being my favourite. Rooms Rooms are comfortable and very clean. The bathrooms are somewhat dated however, meet requirements. The housekeeping staff were all polite and friendly and would do their best to meet any guest requests. We asked for a change of room as we had a toddler and ground floor was not ideal for us. We were shown around several other rooms and moved to a more suitable room at no extra charge.
Food & Beverages Alcohol is your typical local spirits however, there is the option to buy more premium alcohol.
The food was great the main buffet always had something on offer that we liked. Our favourite breakfast was the egg station with Chef Mohamed. There is also the option to book into the separate restaurants on site.
Mostafa and Lebanese chef Mohamed, Mohamed food is out of this world. Mohamed, Mostafa (manager) and the team provided excellent food, service, laughter, and dancing. the food experience the mixed grill, soups and salads were amazing.
The beech bar and pizza and pasta place were also firm favourites. The Staff were so accommodating nothing is too much trouble. A big thanks to Bazema and staff for making us feel like family.
The Azura sports bars staff and service was second to none, again, catering to all your needs. The manager, Ali and the rest of the team again, went above and beyond
Managers are very visible across the resort and interact with guests ……. we had some laughs.
Beech The beech is amazing and very clean, we were well looked after by Basem who ensured we had loungers in the sun. We spent lots of time on the beech as its so nice and chilled.
Overall, a huge thank you to staff at the Regency for making our holiday 5 star. We cannot wait to return to see you all in June. I would this hotel to anyone thinking of booking.
I advise everyone to visit Regency Plaza.

This was our first visit to Egypt and we chose Sharm El Sheikh as it looked family friendly (teenagers)
We were very impressed with the hotel, cleanliness and general appearance. The staff in particularly should be congratulated for the effort they contribute to making this a fantastic place to stay. They always have a smile and a welcoming manner. They are always on hand to ensure you have everything you need. Be it an extra towel to rest your head on while lounging by the pool - many thanks to to Towel man (sorry don’t know his name) at the aqua park pool (heated) who ensured we had four sun loungers together positioned towards the Sun.
Our rooms were always spotless with a connecting door (so we were able to keep an eye on the children) plenty of bottled water and a handy fridge to keep it chilled. Many thanks to the housekeeping team.
The food was plentiful and so much choice. Chef Mohamed can found cooking the eggs for breakfast on the grill, this was a delicious discover and a firm favourite with the family he is also there during the lunch service he then moves over to the oriental restaurant (North Africa cuisine) over looking the aqua park in the evenings - which in our opinion is the best al cart restaurant in the hotel (we did also try the Italian) Mr. Ehab Abdel the Manager of the Oriental was welcoming and very attentive. Chef Mohamed prepared and presented an abundance of food which was totally delicious and a sight behold. We were full for days.
In the evenings sitting inside the main bar area beside the beautiful entrance foyer, you are treated to waiter service for your drinks / cocktails very much appreciated.
The beach area is clean and a delightful area to spend the day. The sea is very shallow for a long distance so very child friendly (bring snorkels and under water mobile phone cases)
The gardens around the hotel are so beautiful and attended to by team of gardeners. Stunning
We felt safe and secure. We highly recommend The Regency Plaza.

Recently Stayed here for a week with my family, the hotel is beautiful and huge, Yes rooms could do with a bit of a make over but I don’t go on holiday to stay in my room. The cleaner came daily fresh towels and water. Give them a tip they go the extra mile, flowers on bed, towel swans etc, they don’t earn a lot over there and are great full for the tips. My son suffers from autism and adhd he can be very challenging at times. The restaurant manager Basem went above and beyond to help us with my son. Such a lovely gentleman always had a smile on his face and was there morning till night. The workers there really don’t earn enough for what they do. The story’s of 2 individuals touched our hearts but I expect most will be very similar, we hope to come back someday. Roxy and craig x
