Detailed Reviews
We felt very much at home in this small, comfortable hotel. Due to Corona there was no dinner available. But a large breakfast buffet was offerd. The owner family was very friendly and helpful with recomandations. Location 15 Minutes walk from entrance 2 in the middle of trees just perfect. We will be back!

Very convenient to the second entrance to Plitvice park. A B&B like setting, with host family living right there. Rooms are newly refurbished and nice decor. Our host was very accommodating, opening breakfast early for us because we wanted an early start to the park. Breakfast was simple with meat and cheese platter, freshly made eggs, granola, yogurt, juice and bread. Dinner was personally prepared by our host, and like a home cooked meal with local delicacies. Sleep was good with family sounds quieting at a reasonable hour. A positive experience.

Everything! This Guest house is fabulous: first the place is quiet, not by the main road, a bit remote but not eccentric either. You are about a 20 min walk through the forest of entrance 2. The room is comfortable and well equipped. You have a pizzeria nearby for lunch if you do not want to eat on site and also close to the bus stop for zadar or split. Then the staff: really very nice. One of the people speaks French and we exchanged a lot. That was nice. We were picked up at the airport and the driver who is part of the family was very friendly and helpful. This address offers the meal and I advise you to eat at least one evening because the cuisine is very good and it is very hearty! The Award of the meal 35 € without drinks and 14 € breakfast. We had an error in the Final Rating for breakfasts but they refunded us without problem. Also I advise you to specify in advance if you want to dine and also eat breakfasts or not. This allows them to better predict and avoid mistakes like we do. This is a great address that I really recommend! Thank you to all this family for their kindness, great availability and honesty! Corinne and Christophe SIMON

We were satisfied. Nice, clean accommodation, rich breakfast and nice staff. The place is also suitable for dogs, they also have a large garden. The hotel is very close to Plitvice Lakes. Everything was alright. :)

We stayed there for one night, after staying at the wonderful Hotel Degenija close by. Unfortunately they didnt have rooms for the second night and we had to move. After looking at several disapointing Zimmers we ended up at the Villa Mukinja.
The very skilled saleslady Helena convinced us that they provide the best value in the region as their large rooms are unique and they provide the best dinner included in the price, cooked by one of Tito's ex cooks.
After bargaining the price we reduced it from 180 (!!!!) euros to 130 (!!!!!!!!!) euros per night per couple including breakfast and dinner. Just for the sake of the comparison, we paid 85 for b&b in the presidential suite at the Degenjia (add some more exclamation marks here)
The dinner is definitely NOT worth the 55 euros. If the cook was really Tito's cook, then is completely understandable why she ended up in that place. As main course we got totallly dried veal and chicken breasts and something they called beef fillet with some fried potatoes. For desert blintzes with some industrial sirup and ice cream. Very dissapointing after the owner kept bragging that he buys the best and freshest produce. It was definitely not worth the price. On top of that he pushed on us a bottle of local wine for 35 euros ( did i say exclamation marks ???)
The rooms we took were the ones on the second floor with balconies. Indeed very large ones. There was a road construction right under the one facing the front of the house and the tractors started making noise at 7 am, something they could have told us ahead of time.
Bottom line, large and clean rooms, but not worth the money. Dont go there, Make a reservation ahead of time at the hotel Degenjia and you wont regret it.

Don't be fooled by the pictures. Booked a three adult room and it was three beds crammed inside of a small room. The location is close to the park but far from the entrance (2km). You can find nicer places for half the price.

We stayed here as a family of 4 p, children aged 8 and 6. When we turned up, we were surprised at the location to start as it was opposite some really awful looking flats and not really looking like accommodation but rather that we'd turned up at someone's house. The foyer was slightly terrifying actually and we nearly walked back out as the lady couldn't speak English, she didn't smile to greet us and we genuinely thought we'd'd arrived at the wrong accommodation.
We were not given a key once we'd checked in so we had to wake the owner when we'd arrived back from dinner out. He made a point on mentioning that we'd woken him however if he had given ups a key then we wouldn't have felt like naughty children. Naughty children paying €130 a night, a key wasn't too much to ask!
That room itself smelt of drainage, the shower head wasn't fixed to the wall so showering was awkward. The curtains barely covered the window and the carpet was really old, in general the place requires a major renovation. There was a stale and pervading cooking odour through the house that was unpleasant to wake up to. The owner spoke limited English, we were not made to feel entirely welcome and I believe that €130 per night was outrageous for the standard of accommodation on offer. In comparison to our city stay in Sibenik, in a newly converted spacious and completely modern apartment where we paid €50 a night for all 4 of us. This place certainly does not charge prices that are reasonable, we assume they are maximising their profit due to the proximity to Plitvice lakes. The photos make the place look 80% better than in the flesh. It was a quick one night in and out of this place, never to return for the pure convenience of the lakes.
We did find a lovely place to eat though, which was a 10minute drive for both breakfast and dinner; Bistro Villa Velebita
Rudanovac 12a, 53230 Korenica. Both food and service were a breath of fresh air and they have accommodation also.
On the plus side, Villa Mukinja offered very nice beds and bedding and the rooms were reasonably warm.
