Along with an attractive location situated just a few steps from the very entrance to the visitor zone of National Park and a pleasant atmosphere maintained by the friendly and helpful staff, the hotel is characterized by one distinctive feature which makes it suitable for accommodating organized groups. Hotel Bellevue** operates as a garni hotel, offering only accommodation and breakfast services, while boarding guests are served lunch or dinner at Hotel Plitvice. For this reason, it is an excellent choice for large groups whose goal is to explore the natural beauty of Lika and active holiday options in the heart of Plitvice Lakes. Built in 1963, the hotel blends in perfectly with its natural surroundings – warm and earthy colours, wood-covered façade, trees hanging over the roof. The rooms have a wonderful view of a meadow, green treetops and a lake amidst the forest. It is a perfect oasis of peace. BREAKFAST WITH A VIEW Depending on how you want to spend your time, take a moment for yourself and enjoy a breakfast with a view of pristine nature from your room balcony or the hotel’s summer terrace. Breakfast in the fresh air with a beautiful view of Plitvice Lakes will certainly make your breakfast even more enjoyable. Prepare your palate for local flavours, rich traditional products and the first meal of the day enriched by products typical of the Lika region. Only imagine what the end of your day will look like if this is just the beginning. Deepen your gourmet experience and try some more specialities typical of the area in the nearby restaurant of Hotel Plitvice and the Poljana restaurant. The quality of the restaurant dishes is guaranteed by the Lika Quality certificate, which will ensure your dining experience is filled with traditional Lika aromas and flavors.

Yes, it is dated and kinda like some USSR time warp, but the hotel is in a fabulous location at entry 1 of the park. Staff were all very kind and helpful.

I didn't realise when I booked that our day pass to the park was included in our stay. This wasn't mentioned at check in, but at the main ticket office. Quite a saving for 4 of us.

Breakfast is basic, but the fried eggs were nicely done. (served in adjacent hotel).

There is a free taxi service to their recommended restaurant. Not a huge choice in the area.

There is a bar in the adjacent hotel, but it has zero atmosphere and closes at 11pm on the dot! I'm not sure where everyone goes in the evening in this area, maybe a lot of day trips.

There is no AC, but thankfully it wasn't too hot when we were there, even in July.

I'm a bit puzzled re the level of accommodation and restaurants in this area. The park is a big hitter on the visitors list, very well organised and busy (and rightly so), but the facilities to cater for the visitors seem to be missing a trick!

The mountain chalet architecture is pleasant. At the reception they are very kind. The common rooms are pleasant.
The rooms are very small, taking the one with the balcony was a happy choice. The bathroom is very small and very messy. The carpet in the room gives off a smell which makes it seem unclean. Furthermore, going to have breakfast at the nearby hotel is not always pleasant, such as when it rains.

There are 3 hotels inside Plitvice Jezera National Park, the Plitvice, the Jezera, and the Bellevue. The Jezera and Bellevue are inside entrance 2, at the middle of the park, the Jezera is at entrance one, the downriver entrance to the park. All 3 have a good location, entrance 2 and the Bellevue Hotel is a more desirable choice for convenience to the park. We were able to do the middle to lower end of the river/park in the morning, take the shuttle bus back to our hotel for a nap, then spend the afternoon exploring the upriver half. The river and ferries are a short walk down from the hotel, don't forget to get your tickets on your way down.
The Bellevue is the bargain hotel of the park hotels, and there's certainly no reason to pay any more, in our opinion. We paid $62/night in April. We had a perfectly nice room in this cool 60's era hotel, built under Tito and the communists in a fantastic natural setting. I think all rooms have a balcony, ours looked out over the park. No a/c, not sure it's necessary in this area. The average high in the hottest months (July and Aug.) range around 80F. (28C.). We had comfortable twin beds, private bath, TV, and good wifi. No fridge, and during our stay in April services were limited. We had breakfast at the hotel (included) but no other meals were available at the hotel. 2 other restaurants were a short walk away.
Do not miss Plitvice if you're anywhere close, this incredible place will be the highlight of your trip. And the Bellevue Hotel is a great choice to facilitate your visit.

Fortunately for us the Plitvice next door was booked up.
The hotel was very clean and pleasant with a view of nothing but trees.
A brilliant location from which to explore the beautiful lakes, the only downside is the food locally is a bit limited.
I also would recommend a trip into Bosnia Herzegovina to sample the differences and view the bullet ridden houses.
A fantastic experience, shame it was so much colder than the island of Pag where we came from (went from 30C to under 15C).
We even heard a wolf!

I'll start with the positives - this hotel is well located to the entrance to the park. If you've driven there (which a lot do), you get free parking. Also - a little known fact is that if you stay in the hotel, and purchase your first day in the national park - get the ticket stamped at reception, and you get your 2nd day free! All adds up to some good value for staying here.

The rooms, well they're pretty basic - there's a bed, a cupboard, a clean bathroom and that's about it. No TV - but then again when you're in a national park - you want to get out and explore. Breakfast is included in the price, and is quite substantial, which was great as you'll need a substantial breakfast for the walking tours of the park.

Other than breakfast you'll need to go to the restaurant next door for lunch or dinner. We had dinner in the restaurant (not to be confused with the self serve buffet) and had a fantastic meal. As there was no TV in the room, we spent some time in the bar as well, and chatted to other people we'd met on the trip. Far more exciting than Croatian TV anyway!

Internet was via a ethernet plug, with no wi-fi. OK if you have a computer, but useless for us because we only has iPhones. Apparently the hotel Plitvice next door has wi-fi.

So room was acceptable, but it's what you make of it, and the proximity to the park which will make your stay at the Bellevue.

closer to the park entrance than the standard parking itself ! and each meter count with kids when you come back from a 5h hike.
Nothing about stars and extra confort but decently clean, with 3 bed rooms (needed with 3 kids) and a good welcome with advices. for instance they can add an extra day to your single day park entry !
few meters is plitvice hotel with nice cheap restaurant.
all in all it s all about the location!

It's a very basic hotel. Dated commy deco. Not sure of the broken lamp shades were part of the design. Tiny beds. Mouldy bathrooms. Only booked this hotel because others were full. Now I know why have room left. However. It's not too far from the lakes.

We drove from Rovinj to Plitvice - very long drive by the way. We left a beautifully comfortable hotel in Rovinj (extremely charming town) with a view of the water and headed into a very out dated, dingy Bellevue Hotel however the front counter people were very sweet and helpful. My partner and I, again, we confronted with 2 twin beds pushed together to make a king size bed however we've rated these beds the worst out of 3 weeks of traveling to various hotels across 3 countries. they were so squishy (not plushy soft) that we rolled over during the night we would almost fall off the sides. although we saw various cleaning people during our 1 night stay, the rooms did not feel clean. There was only one "restaurant" open that we could find after a full day of hiking BUT...it seemed to be closed and we were forced to eat in the "self serve buffet style" place next door to the closed restaurant. as we walked up to the counter the first thing i saw was roach crawling next to the bread tray. We were greeted by a very, very sweet female chef who helped us select our food but spoke little English but did explain what everything was. as she went to go get some soup I saw another creepy crawler (roach) on the top of the refrigeration case. oh my. I have to say, this should have been the time we both high tailed it out of there screaming but...we didn't. We were extremely tired and starving and hadn't had a meal since the morning. I have to admit, that was the best goulash I've had. the poor chef seemed very proud of what she had cooked that day and I felt bad not to eat her food. I don't think it HER fault the place is out dated and there is an infestation.

There are apparently two other hotels in the park to stay at. I would suggest you either stay at one of those or find a room for rent just outside of the park in one of the cute little towns on the way in. the Park itself was breath taking! minus the huge amount of bused in tourists. Sorry Hotel Bellevue, I have to give you a big thumbs down.

The Park and the lakes are absolutely beautiful, and the hours spent walking through them are truly wonderful. However, the Bellevue Hotel really is very, very basic. Okay for 35 Euros per room you arent going to get luxury but the thin walls meant that every time the people in the room next door spoke or moved, we heard them. The beds were not very comfortable and thank goodness it was at the beginning of the summer as there is no air conditioning and the rooms must get pretty hot during July and August. The room was tiny and we could barely fit our two suitcases in without tripping up over them. The balcony overlooking the park was lovely though and the food available in the "cafeteria" type restaurant was basic but fine. I do realise it is a National Park accommodation, but I think with the amount of tourists that are now visiting this area a bit of upgrading and more comfort would be welcome.
