Stayed here last June with my mum we had a twin room. It was a lovely hotel. The room was clean and modern inside. Receptionist staff very helpful and friendly. Great location opposite the beach. Plenty of places to eat including restaurant at the hotel itself. Lovely location in makaska. Imagine it would be quite busy in height of season. Lots of things you can do if you so wish, Day trips to nearby places. And bus station in walking distance to get the bus to split. Would love to come back again!
We had a lovely stay at this family run hotel situated right on the sea front. The staff were so freindly and helped us out with anything we needed. We felt very well taken care of and able to rest. The beds I must say were very comfortable and our room had a lovely view over the sea. Right infront of the hotel there are massage and watersports to enjoy. You can sit and watch the sunset whilst having a drink/coffee. There is a nice outdoor sofa area to chill in the afternoon when it gets really hot during the day. You can get up and have an early morning swim before breakfast. I must say this hotel met all our needs and we had a great holiday. Thank you to all the staff.
This hotel is quite a find. Nice room, nice balcony and view. Amazingly reasonable price. Best breakfast of our trip. Beach right across a path. Helpful front desk folks. Did I mention the price? Book it!!!
This was our second time to the wonderful Maritimo Hotel and it did not disappoint. The moment we arrived we were welcomed warmly. It was as if we had never left. On the day of our arrival it was our 53rd wedding anniversary and we decided celebrate this by dining at the hotel. When we went to the reserved table the staff had decorated the area to surprise us. They had very little notice we may add. We saw the hand of the ever helpful Svetlana here, so many thanks. It is hard (unfair) to pick out any one member of staff, everybody goes the extra mile but having mentioned Svetlana it would only be fair to thank Maria and Anna for equally looking after us. The 3 of them always smiling with a can do attitude to make your stay perfect. It is a great, small, family run boutique hotel. It might only have 3 stars but it deserves higher particularly after the winter upgrade. The location is great, overlooks the beach and sea and is a 15 minute walk to the town and harbour. Excursion boats leave from the hotel area in season and there is a small fun train that runs the length of Makarska playa. The beach which the hotel overlooks is normally busy but a sort walk either way from the hotel there are more secluded beaches. The al a carte menu is extensive along with a good choice of quality wines but be aware the portions at the Maritimo are enormous. The first time we stayed we were on half board, this time we went B&B so as to explore more of Makarska. Having said that we did on reflection use the hotel and two really good restaurants nearby the Don Antonio and the Il Golfo. Both near enough to enjoy G&Ts back at the Maritimo. We wrote a more detailed review last October but just needed to reiterate how good this hotel is and how we would happily return again in 2020.…
Have just returned from a week long family holiday. The room we had was a junior suite, which was immaculate and beautiful, as were all other rooms occupied by family. The owners and staff couldn't be nicer or more welcoming. Food, what can I say. We had half board and there was such a lot of food we couldn't eat it all. The waiters are fantastic and very attentive. Have just booked again for next year. Can't wait. Don't hesitate booking, you won't be disappointed.
