Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This "4* hotel" has no name on the building, it is hard to find. We came by morning. Checkin is at 2pm. They charge for luggage storage 30 reales, which should be included. Until 2pm was reception full of people waiting for checkin, but not enough space to comfortably sit for all. At 2pm all the people stay in the 30minutes queue in front of the desk for checkin. We dont feel welcomed. We have got stinky uncleaned room. After complaint at the reception we got another key without any word. No apologise.. what the heck is this?

Web booked this hotel looking for a high standard and we were sad to see that they do not meet the expectations of a four star hotel. The headboard of the bed is worn out, the curtains are moldy, the bathroom door is smashed, and when you ask for something at the reception they don't bring it to you nor are they a bit polite. I hope they can improve for future clients.

Room was clean with good amenities. Where this hotel fell short for me was location and interactions with the receptionists. I found using the metro was an easy mode of transportation and the nearest stop is quite far away. More worrisome was the seemingly disorganized check in/ check out process. There was almost always a line to check in and out and the staff seemed overwhelmed with people. It took about 45 minutes standing in line to check in and 25 to check out.

We had to lay to leave our luggage. One has to pay for everything and they are particularly rude. Don't ruin your holiday. The rooms are small and the area isn't appropriate. We wanted to stay here a night...but it was an awful night. Should have stayed another night on Copacabana

We booked a room at the hotel with a quick decision for ten days as part of a long journey but we have to left it after five days. The hotel room was very dirty. There were dust, stains, hairs and even spiderwebs under the table. The minibar was dirty and the safe deposit box didn’t work. The bathroom was really poorly cleaned, it was really disgusting! The air conditioner worked, but it was broken and fluttering loudly all the time. The views from the hotel room window were poor, but that’s understandable because of the location. We called the reception twice about a few things and were promised to come to the room to help, but no one ever came. The only good thing was that the hotel staff was friendly at check-in. But they told us nothing about breakfast, for example, which was part of our reservation. All in all, we cannot recommend the hotel based on our stay.

Modern design. Quiet rooms and quiet area. Choose a room overlooking to the courtyard. Great price. Breakfast was ok if staying for a short term. Towels were changed every second day. Cleaners kept forgetting to leave the shampoo bottles in the room, so I had to always ask them. Andreas Moraiz was the worst staff member I ever came across with in the hotels. He was laying to me, raising the voice, refused to provide me with the detailed breakdown of the bill that I have asked for, was accusing me that I don't want to pay for my stay and was overall very rude and negligent. I have wasted few hours out of my day dealing with this person. He have ruined my stay. I would have given excellent score to the hotel if it would not have been for him. Impossible to get hold of the reception from the room. The phone is never being answered. At some point I had to go 3 times downstairs to ask what I needed.

If you have any issues or you about to die as long as the room is pay they don't care even if about to die. They not help or call the emergency. I do not recommend this place at all. You never know what can happen and it's really important to have people who can support you when you need it

Really really REALLY BAD EXPERIENCE with this hotel, especially the staff who clearly consider you more like a CREDIT CARD than a human. Know that if you have any problems at all, the staff AND the manager will sit quietly behind his desk, your problems (and your health) are none of their business. The staff is disobliging and haughty, the services are not at all up to what this hotel claims. A word of advice: there are a thousand times better places in Rio! Foreigners, Brazilians, GET OUT! Your life depends on it.

This is the worse hotel you could ever think of staying in! The service is poor. The worse thing is, I stayed there with my friends, one day one of us got sick, she was feeling weak and couldn't see or hear anymore. When we tried to alert the receptionists about what was going on, they ignored us, they didn't care whether someone is dying or not. All they care about is money. Can you imagine that they gave us a random ambulance number to call and we waited for almost an hour the ambulance never came, and none of the receptionists bothered to come and see what is going on. We ended up calling an uber to bring our friend to the hospital. I AM WRITING THIS REVIEW TO LET EVERYONE KNOW THAT THIS HOTEL IS HORRIBLE. IF YOU STAY HERE AND BY ANY MISFORTUNE YOU GET SICK, THEY WILL LET YOU DIE. THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS ALL THEY WANT IS YOU MONEY TO FEED THEIR GREEDY MOUTH.
