We had to change rooms two times, as the rooms they initially placed us in had something wrong with it. In the first room, the show box was leaking the bathroom floor kept getting flooded, the bathroom sink made a loud noise when you opened it, and the bathroom ceiling was all molded. At the entrance of the hotel room, the air conditioner was leaking water non-stop, and the bed was not comfortable.

The second room smelled strongly of fresh paint, it appeared that they had just done a repainting of it.

Thankfully the hotel has an awesome, really awesome receptionist Leandro! He was very polite, attentive, and understanding. Throughout the commotion, he had a great sense of humor in making sure we were taken care of. He placed us in a room that had a sauna, bathtub, comfortable bed, no leaks, and no smell of fresh paint. So thank you very much Leandro for making us have a comfortable stay at the hotel!

I’m not sure this hotel is as luxurious as it promotes but if you are trying to iron your clothes before enjoying a night out in Rio, bring your own iron as the hotel does not have an iron. Instead, you have to pay for laundry services.

Stayed here for two nights. Decent hotel in handy location a few minutes walk to the beach. Lovely rooftop bar and pool, although the pool was packed with families when we were there so not exactly a relaxing swim! A great spread for breakfast. The breakfast runs until 10am, However there was an extremely long queue running right through the reception area for breakfast between 9-10am (I would say about 20 minute wait time). The staff did assure us that they would cater for everyone so the end time seemed to be flexible so we just went away and returned to no queue around 10am. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

I stayed there for 2 nights from 30 Dec 2019 to 1 Jan 2020. Hotel is located just 10 mins walk to famous Copacabana beach. You can find many restaurants and shops around hotel. Rooms are average. Staffs are very helpful. My favourite from this hotel is breakfast. Many varieties to choose. New Year eve dinner is the best and we have the best view of fireworks from rooftoop. I will definitely recommend to friends.

We arrived on 28th December 19 at 12am and the hotel was so busy. Children and families are mainly in this hotel. We checked in and we went to our room. The smell was so bad. It smelt of damp and sewage. There was one window but it was covered so you couldn’t see the outside and you could not open the window. The bed was a double bed with cheap linen and the bathroom was a decent size but the smell was so bad.
The air-conditioning unit was on the side of the wall near the bed on the floor and it was super loud. You could not breathe in this room.
We asked to change the room that night but we were told to wait for the manager the next morning. The next morning I spoke to the manager and complained about the room and he gave us a new larger room with bigger windows that you could open and the air-conditioning unit was actually built in to the room. This was much better than the room we had before but still I would say the price is so high.
The only thing you are actually paying for is the location as the Copacabana beach is about a two minute walk down the road. There are also a number of restaurants and bars ATMs and cornershops that you can buy food from and drinks. The breakfast was the worst thing ever. It was super busy doing this period and you would get a platter of fruits, tons of pastries and scrambled eggs that looks so wet. I hated it.
The wifi is just as bad, You don’t get signal in certain parts of the room and by the end of a five day stay we had to go to the reception to get signal. The TV would also run out of signal at the same time.

Great location 5mins from copacabana beach. Very crowded hotel with the breakfast area a complete chaos. Out first room was so small and dirty and no ventilation in the bathroom. We complained and got a better room. Bathroom was spacious and clean. The Room was a bit dated but spacious. WiFi signal dropped often and the tv signal was very poor. Staff was helpful but the price for this hotel is too much for what it’s worth.

This Hotel was such a let down. I paid nearly £1,200 for a luxury room for 5 days and was sorely disappointed. I discussed the price on check in, as booking.com had the same room and same dates for £770 and they offer a price match, so I used the app, which sent me to the hotel customer services, but to this day, have had no reply.

The hotel smells like a public house when you first enter the reception. A public house when it has no customers in it ( like stale beer) and it didn't get any better when I got to my first room. They're was a weird smell and when I opened the cupboard, it smelt like someone had peed in there and they had tried to mask the smell. They did move me to another room, which also had a weird smell and it was then that I realised that I had to make the most of a bad situation.

The lifts don't work properly, the gym has decent but very old and tatty equipment but the whole time there was no air con and both of the units where leaking into a bucket. There are very dirty marks on the ceiling throughout the whole hotel rooms and restaurant and the air-con in the room is really noisy.

As an upside, on my request, my room was made up daily, but they didn't clean the toilet for the 5 days that I stayed. Maybe this isn't a daily job?

This Hotel was probably really nice 20 years ago, but it's tired, dirty and needs a complete and full renovation. I wished I had taken pictures of everything bad I saw, but I really didn't want to dwell on how bad it was, so I only got a couple.

Do yourself a favour an book somewhere else

I was here during the Carnaval season. It is ok if you are looking for accommodation only, but they lack a bit of interest when it comes to service. At the rooftop bar, the short hair girl was 100% of the time unfriendly and besides, you cannot buy coconut water there (c'mon it is Rio!!!). Overall it is a decent place, with an ok fitness center.

We here only 1 night as we were picking up guests from the airport early in the morning. We were woken up early in the morning from the noise of water coming from the ceiling of our room.We shut off the AC and solved the problem from leaking so it wasn't that pleasant of a stay there was horrible smell in the bathroom as well . However staff was great and it is in a good location .The hotel needs an update at least with the plumbing .

I had planned to visit it for my birthday this year and it was the worst experience ever. I had an issue with with my flight. I wanted to find out if I can be refunded at least partially or if they would possibly postpone my reservation. I sent them an email over a month ago and they never responded to me nor refund me my money making birthday week absolutely sad. Even if they were not going to refund my money at least they could have contacted me. I will never recommend them

The hotel is in a good location, just a short walk to Copacabana. Staff were friendly. The price was very reasonable. The first room we got had water leaking from the ceiling of the toilet, and the water tap had roaring sound when turned on. We requested to change room and since the hotel was full, we can only have another room the next day. The second room was much more spacious and face the building opposite. There were two queen size beds in the room. The safe didn’t work and an engineer had to come to fix it. The speed of Internet was ok but not great. The pool was small with loud music, and water can be murky when there were many people. The gym has a good 270 degree view. Breakfast was good with a wide selection of food, which were the same every day. The hotel was old and will try another hotel in Copacabana next time we visited Rio.
