Campo Grande is not the sort of place a tourist spends too much time in. It is mainly a connection point for the Pantanal. This hotel is ideal if you have to stay the night and get an early morning flight out the next day or arrive late in the day. It is about a 5 minute taxi ride from the airport and has a 24 hour desk, perfect!

The hotel mainly caters for business people. It is very clean and the rooms are absolutely fine; they have a TV and a minibar in them. Also a great shower with good pressure. The hotel has a bar and a small swimming pool. You can also eat there which is probably a good thing as you are not in the middle of town and there is probably not much choice.
The staff also spoke quite good English when we were there. There is also a business area with internet access but you must pay for its use.

Everyone agrees that this is an OK business-oriented hotel, close to the airport, which makes for convenience. But BE SURE TO ASK FOR A BACK ROOM. The rooms in the front open onto a very busy street and unless you want to try and drown out the noise with the Air-Conditioner, you will have a bad night. Otherwise, it was fine, convenient, and had a decent breakfast buffet.

I read on this site that other travellers had found this place clean - but didn't expect to be able to eat my dinner off the floor!! The hotel was a little tired and aging, but they really made up for it in its tidiness and cleanliness.

The staff were very proactive - after questioning at what time i needed to get a taxi the next morning, the front desk provided a wake up call without even requesting it!

The hotel was a little noisy, although it was the night Santos when some football tournament and there was a lot of horn honking going on. Also, the breakfast was basic to say the least.

This hotel has very basic rooms, no hot water and the wifi works occasionally. The breakfast is an absolute surprise, it has a large variety and is very good. But the the rest is way below expectations. There are much better alternatives in Campo Grande.

We stayed in en route to the Pantanal in a quadruple room. Seven minute drive from the airport. The room was pretty basic and clean and served our purpose for one night. The staff was helpful. The real highlight was the breakfast buffet which was plentiful and tasty. Really good.

We stayed here for one night on route to the Pantanal. The room was dated, but clean and spacious. Breakfast was ok - a typical choice and plentiful. Close to the airport. Most likely a business hotel but suited our needs for one night.

Close to airport, about 20 Brazilian Real for a taxi.
The people are friendly. I don’t speak any Portuguese but got along just fine. I ate breakfast and dinner in the hotel and enjoyed both.
The grounds are nice to walk around and relax. The pool was closed. The Wi-Fi works well which was nice as I had a lot of work to do while there.
Parking is available too.

Nice hotel to stay for one night. Service is really friendly, but there is no atmosphere. Large restaurant with extensive breakfast. A stroll in the neighborhood is not recommended in the evening; it's a bit creepy.
Note to hotel: please don't start mopping the floors at 6 in the morning. Or try not to bump into the walls while mopping, thank you.

We have stayed in Hotel Vale Verde several times. It is not downtown, but near the airport and suits us because it is convenient to the University of Mato Grosso do Sul where we have colleagues. It is not a fancy place, but is very comfortable and convenient. The rooms are clean and well appointed. Good showers. The rooms vary in size, so be specific about what you need, size and number of beds etc. The breakfasts are excellent, and the restaurant also has lots of choices for lunch and dinner. The staff are very helpful and friendly, and a few of them speak very good english. The garden is a big asset, the gym is excellent, and the pool, although small, is very pleasant. The laundry service is the fastest we have ever encountered. Wifi is excellent. On two weekends there were large groups associated with sports events staying at the hotel. Of course this made the hotel very busy, but everything was well-managed and our needs were not overlooked. We can also recommend an excellent fish restaurant - Casa do Peixe - located 10 min walk from the hotel.
