From the moment we arrived from the 17 minute taxi ride from the airport at 12:45am we were greeted with the door open and a friendly smile. Every staff member is genuine, informative and helpful. We walked from this hotel several times to various locations like to downtown 6th St. food areas, to Enterprise on 6th & Colorado, to the University of Texas campus and to Darrell K. Royal Stadium and I’m not in the best shape. Weather didn’t permit the outdoor pool on the roof but it seemed nice. Parking in ramp was pricey and only charged when we got the rental for the one night but downtown you’re going to have parking charges. Our room faced Lavaca St and had a great city view of downtown one way and UT’s campus clock tower from our balcony. Street noise was of no concern while in room. We stay at Hampton’s because of their signature “on all night hot water/coffee access and a cookie treat”.

This hotel was awesome! I loved the lobby, it was pure Austin! All of the staff members were very welcoming and friendly. The room was comfortable and very clean. I love the high ceilings and the balcony was really nice. We were on the Texas Tower side, next time I go I will request the State Capitol side but our view was still very nice. The pool area is great! The view of the Capitol from the pool is stunning!! I highly recommend this hotel. It is wonderful and also in a very nice location. Will DEFINITELY stay here again. Thank you for making our first trip to Austin a great one!!

We chose this hotel for our daughter's wedding weekend because it offered a suite for the bridal party to get ready the day of the wedding, as well as their location and affordable prices. The hotel and the suite were perfect! The rooms for guests were nice and affordable. We enjoyed the free breakfast and the pool to gather everyone together. They had a very nice sitting area and breakfast area to relax. There was a large array of choices for breakfast.
The staff was absolutely amazing! They accommodated us at every turn. They made the hotel available for a last minute rehearsal at the hotel when the wedding venue would not be open; however the venue did open their doors for the rehearsal. I don't recall everyone's names, but they were all outstanding! Rose at check-in, all the front desk helped with storage for all our wedding venue items, quick response for small requests, as well as patiently guiding my dad along his drive who was lost for several hours. I couldn't be more grateful for their help with him along his way, thank you again!
I would highly recommend this hotel! It is quite a gem in Austin because of the wonderful staff ❤️

Applying a deposit of more than $400, for a 4-day stay, without previously communicating anything, does not seem right to me.
That you have to expressly request that your room be cleaned, without communicating it at the time of check-in, does not seem correct to me either.
The Wi-Fi is limited and the computer in the business center has not worked in four days.

I was traveling for work and stayed here two nights and was initially worried since my co workers both stayed in different hotels but I am so glad I stayed here. It was a five star hotel experience. They very sweetly upgraded my room to a King Suite which was so spacious with beautiful views of Austin, glorious high ceilings, and a comfortable bed. The hand soap, lotion, and body wash made by KIND smelled wonderful and felt like the type of amenities in a boutique hotel.

A co-worker and I rented electric scooters to head to dinner and I inadvertently dropped my keys from my pocket when taking out my phone. I called the front desk and spoke to Richard Larson who not only sweetly made sure the keys I had lost would stop working (I was worried someone would try to access my room with them) but went to check on my room to ensure no one had accessed it. I was so touched how he went above and beyond! I happened to catch Richard again after I came back after dinner and he insured me no one had accessed the room but smartly checked my ID to confirm I am who I am before giving me keys to the room.

Honestly a wonderful stay and if I’m ever back in Austin I’ll definitely make a return visit!

1. I am a Hilton Diamond Club member and for $260 a night for 5 nights got a 61 degree room temperature and no hot water 1st night experience. Yes they moved us the next day and no they didn’t comp us on the room. I am sure the manager will return my call …..some day, but so far nothing.
2. Wouldn’t it be reasonable to have the coffee pots hot and full in the 7am-7:30am time period? Not on any of the 5 days of our stay.

Poorly managed Hilton property.

The hotel was a complete pleasure from check in until check out. I arrived earlier than the stated 3 pm check in time and was greeted warmly and asked what type of view I’d prefer. I had a great king suite with a fantastic view of the rooftop pool and DKR stadium. My room was clean, inviting, and spacious for my 3 day stay in ATX.

The complimentary buffet breakfast was plentiful each morning and was a welcome addition to my stay. I was also given bottled water each day upon request at the front desk when I would leave to sightsee.

The pool was very nice even in December. The water was warm and clean and I enjoyed that after long days of walking the city streets.

I did a lot of coming and going and I was always greeted upon my return. I felt very comfortable and safe traveling alone as a college student in an unfamiliar setting. Public transportation is easily accessible and is within walking distance to several great restaurants.

I would highly recommend staying here and am already planning a return visit to ATX and will be staying here again. The location to the UT campus, Bob Bullock museum, and the capitol makes this hotel a perfect location.

We stayed here for two nights during our family vaction and had a pleasant stay. The front desk staff were very helpful to us as we had forgotten a few toiletries and they provided us with some essentials while we were there. I would say that I felt the drinks/snacks in the hotel shop were very overpriced ($4.00 for a bottle of water) but it is expected to pay more there for convenience. The parking garage is also fairly tight but there was also plenty of parking spots available during our trip. We chose this hotel as it was near the capitol and bob bullock museum which we planned to go to.

I spent a few nights at the Hampton Inn and Suites Austin at the University/Capitol and have spent last few days thinking about how I wanted to convey my experience. I've been to many Hiltons and Hamptons over the years in over a dozen or so countries. This hotel is among the best ones. The rooms are of course clean and updated. The ceilings are high. The breakfast is amazing. These things make a hotel great, but what makes this hotel memorable is the people. They genuinely care about your stay and your comfort. They will make an effort to help you. This is what's rare and why I strongly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to the area. In particular, keep your eye out for Jonathan, the cherubic wunderkid fresh from high school, who staffs the main desk. He is wise beyond his years. Note to executive leadership at Hilton: Find a way to develop his talent and retain him before someone else at the hotel whisks him away.

I recommend this hotel without reservation.

My husband and I stayed here during 3 nights. We were upgraded from a king to a suite at check in. The suite is huge but it is mostly empty space. We were told that housekeeping services would occur every other day. They never came! The breakfast buffet was very good because there were two women that were taking care of the breakfast buffet. They made sure that there was plenty of everything and that every one had what they were looking for. We really appreciated the excellent service they provided during breakfast.
