Stayed two nights on our road trip west. The front desk service was excellent. Our king room was very, very clean and we had no hesitations or concerns at all. The room was comfortable with plenty of space to relax. The heat/AC worked perfectly. We did not eat breakfast so cannot comment on that. This was our third stay at this particular location and we will surely be back if we are in the area again. Thanks Ya'll!
So the hotel is perfect for a business trip. The beds are super comfortable staff is super nice and very accommodating, i love the lights behind the headboards , the room is definitely set up for business traveling. What killed the five to four star rating, was there was hair floating in the pool I don't know if it was pubic hair or what kind of hair but it was hair in the pool. I did not complain to management because honestly I don't think it would have done any goodfiltration system just had not filtered it yet. some of the complaints that I have with the hotel are some that can't be helped because of covid they literally cannot let you go pick out what you want you have to basically tell somebody else that's not the hotel's fault I was not happy with that and I think every hotel is probably going to the same thing under the circumstances it's a very good hotel I just think it's more set up for business than it is for families the other hotels in the area that are Holiday inn are in my opinion more adept at serving families. All in all you will sleep good and you enjoy the beautiful aesthetics in the room.…
My family was passing through Amarillo on the way to Colorado, and Holiday Inn was a great rest stop! The rooms were large and the beds were comfy. Service was amazing and there was hand sanitizer EVERYWHERE. They had a great mask policy - I went during the peak of COVID - and the space that would normally be for breakfast, was empty and perfect for my family to convene for dinner (delivery from a local Mexican restaurant). The pool was open but had limited amounts of people. The only bad part of the experience was breakfast, though I don't really hold this against Holiday Inn. This was a couple months into the pandemic when most places were not serving ANYTHING at hotels. While they did what they could to still provide breakfast, it was subpar. I'm just happy they offered their guests something over absolutely nothing like most places resorted to. That was 5 months ago, so things could be different now. The rooms were quiet and so comfortable, which was much needed after a 10 hour drive. I would highly suggest this place for your stay in Amarillo, and if you don't like the breakfast, there is a McDonalds and a Chick-fil-A very close by. I couldn't count off on the ratings for this because I did not find that fair when they are at least trying. Normally, holiday inn breakfast options are amazing.…
The hotel rooms and beds are great. Breakfast is served and decent. The negative point is that the parking lot and specifically the disabled parking spots are still snowed in 1.5 days after the snow storm has left the area and now has solid ice around parked cars. No efforts are made to clear the area from snow or to even put some salt down. I’m not disabled but almost fell trying to get to my parked car due to the slippery situation. Staff does not seem to care. We just came back from a big roadtrip to California and stayed in a lot of hotels and I can say that the staff at the Holiday Inn here is not the friendliest compared to all of our other experiences!
