Do i really even have to rate this? Does not deserve it. Wow, this was the worst stay i have ever had at a residence inn. The staff weren’t wearing masks at all and were super lax about COVID. The staff were some sketchy young adults who weren’t very professional unfortunately. But honestly, it is what it is with the staff. But then the room!! Jesus save us. It was obviously not cleaned at all, totally poorly taken care of. Long hairs in the bed, it even looked like they just slapped the cover on the bed and the pillows and left it after the people before stayed. Weird cat litter looking s*** on the floor...counters were obviously not wiped down at all. I honestly felt like i could have caught COVID just standing in that room to be honest. Just don’t do it! Don’t stay here it’s a waste, keep driving somewhere else. Go to the townesuites down the road instead or something! Just don’t stay here especially with a whole pandemic going on. They obviously could care less there. Just terrible.…
I have been stopping here for many years and this trip is perhaps the last time we stay here on our way to Austin from Denver. This is by far the worst Marriott room i have ever stayed in to date! I have been a rewards member for decades and I hope this isn't a sign of the times!
Checked in late at night and drove to the side entrance which is next to our room. Unload bags from car and the keycards don't work. This is not what you want to do after a long day of driving. The walls and ceilings were cracking, chipped, and generally in poor condition. See pictures. The cracking on the ceiling is ~2 feet long. Not sure if it's water damage or what. Hotel is located on I-40 service road, so can be noisy. Ask for a room away from highway if possible. Bed was comfortable and the living room/kitchen was fine.
You would think the rooms are being cleaned thoroughly during this COVID-19 Pandemic but appears to not be the case. The Hotel Management needs to pay close attention to detail on cleaning the sofa when pets had been present prior. The dishes were dirty inside the cabinets ,and all other glasses were sticky and not clean.. Also, the curtains had holes in them. Hard to believe that things like this are being overlooked and neglected.
We stayed @ Residence Inn-San Angelo, TX (WONDERFUL & CLEAN) from 8/ 5 thru 16th, while we were in the process of adopting a baby from TX. We were nearing time we could leave TX & decided to move to a Residence Inn closer to TX border to shorten our drive home to ID. This ended up being a huge mistake. The room was filthy. My MIL (mother-n-law )used a damp rag to clean the carpet &went to the store to buy cleaning supplies. There was food in the drawer next to the bed &on the floor- bathtubs so dirty I couldn't let my kids take a shower until we cleaned, food on silverware &dishes in the cupboards- just to name a few things. (I have plenty of pictures) You might be asking why we didn't just find another hotel... we are a family of 7 that had already been stuck in a hotel for 13 days our 5 kids were utterly exhausted. So, we decided to clean the room instead of packing up kids & luggage to go out &find somewhere clean. After staying 2nights we were glad to leave but in the midst of packing we left my business camera. My MIL frantically called the hotel when we realized our errror. She spoke to a girl on duty on 8/19 in the pm- this girl wove a fantastic tale of how Housekeeping is in charge of all lost &found &that she was unable to see if it had been turned in but, that we could call in the am to speak with housekeeping because there was nothing she could do for us. My MIL called back &asked if she could at least go check the room to see if the camera was there-she stated she would check the room she came back to tell us the camera was not in the room &to call housekeeping in the am. I called in the am 8/20 and spoke to a lovely gal - who stated she would check lost & found for us &go check the room- she called me back to let me know she found the camera in the room &would ship it to us right away. She is the only bright light you have in that building &needs to be commended on her customer service! Other than her- I am an EXTREMELY dissatisfied customer.…
