Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I made a reservation in July of 2015 for November of 2015 with a credit card. We arrived to find fans blowing and the smell of mold in the lobby. They had recently had a flood. The girl at the front desk looked confused that we were there. She had no documentation of a reservation. She did manage to find us a room-we reserved a 2 room suite for a family of 5-we were given a king bed and a couch bed. The couch bed was broken. Upon exiting the elevator on the 3rd floor we were met with a strong odor of cigarette smoke. There were 3 shady guys walking in the hall. THe room was horrible-odor, dirty, one bar of soap that was already used. They did not clean the room (make the beds, replace towels.....). IT was just horrible. Felt unsafe. Dirty. Ridiculous. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Don't stay there! Trouble started when trying to book online from Australia. Stupid internet form would accept Australian address or phone details. Eventually rang the booking hotline in the USA and after going through the booking process the operator hit enter and all the details disappeared so we had to do it all again - a very expensive telephone call. Confirmation email never arrived. Sent email and finally got confirmation of the booking.

Arrived at 12 noon only to be told the room wouldn't be available until 3pm. Finally got into the room and it was awful, overpowering terrible smell and hadn't been cleaned properly. It was small - we advised reception when checking in that we were checking out the facilities for possibly 6 week or longer stays. This room would not be satisfactory for 2 people. Only 1 person can sit at the kitchen bench with the gas lift chair that doesn't work. There is no oven and the refrigerator is small. Hot plates take up valuable bench space so no where to put washed dishes. Dishes and cutlery still had food stuck to them, there was no detergent of dry cloth, remnants of food in the sink and all the bench and table surfaces were greasy. Dirt in the coffee machine - would not use. Bathroom too small for 2 people and less than half a roll of toilet paper. Wall mountable hair dryer was not mounted and bedside lamp didn't work. Bed was terrible and sagged in the middle. Made do for one night and when having a shower the next morning I found the source of the smell - it was the shower curtain. It smelt like stale urine. My wife removed the shower curtain and took it to reception saying we wanted to move out. After some resistance from the receptionist the manager came out and offered to move us to a two room suite for the same price. It was marginally better and we stuck it out for the remaining 4 nights of our visit. Unfortunately it was right by the lift and laundry area so you heard both through the thin walls.

The whole place smells off from the moment you walk in to the little reception area to the corridors that smell of cigarette smoke even though there is supposed to be no smoking. There was food on the floor of the 3rd floor corridor which wasn't cleaned the whole 5 days we were there.

The whole place is in dire need of renovation. Walls are damaged, timber work around the doors splintered, kitchen doors damaged, etc. the first room we stayed in should be condemned.

Lots of itinerant workers staying coming and going at all hours.

Would never go back and advise anyone thinking of staying there to think twice.

I booked a room 4 weeks ago with a credit card and was called 4 days before arrival to inform me that my room was no longer available. Not a good business practice. That was a first for me and a last for Home-Towne Suites. Find someplace else.

I have stayed here 3 times...the first 2 were fantastic. This time my family had 3 room - two were two bedroom suites. The suites were downgraded 3 hours before check in to a studio. There were 4 people crammed into a queen studio. Because it was a studio, only 2 towels were allowed. It was a battle to get towels or toilet paper. My room was booked as a studio, but upon check in, the room reeked. I asked several times for someone to address it - I even spoke with the property manager - and was ignored. The common areas were filthy - covered in dirt and debris. Housekeeping is nonexistent - she came to my room, mopped one tiny area and left (clean) towels that were actually dirty. Never again. Stay there if you must, but be forewwarned.

I did not stay at this location because Pets are not allowed. The Trip Adviser page for this location said that pets are / may be allowed. I called to confirm before I booked the reservation and the hotel staff confirmed no pets.
