Several lovely individually decorated private rooms share a handy hall kitchenette with libations and snacks on their 2nd floor landing with an appreciated air purifier. There is cafe seating on the balcony. Big king bed and beautifully appointed rooms are new with high ceilings but look antique. Just wish they had all-Cotton sheets. Divine memorable sit down morning breakfast included pecans from their backyard in a baked French toast dish, egg strata with sausage and fresh melon. Accommodated decaf coffee. Our hosts Tom and sounds joined us at the table and shared town history and recommendations for

The Veranda on Main is THEE place to stay for either personal or business stays. This elegant manor is period inspired with the most exquisite antiques and furnishings North of Savannah. Big open rooms and warm welcoming parlors and dining. Linda Tyner the proprietor and chef is very much one of the main attractions, her offerings each day were full of taste and of gratuitous proportions.
Mr. Tyner is a wealth of knowledge and history not found in books and I walked away with an immensely refined take on this areas chapters.
So close to downtown you could walk there, and you should, as it is bursting with historical significance and echoes of the spirits of the founders of Abbeville.
Cant wait to get back here again!

We stayed at the Veranda on Main for two nights to watch the total eclipse. The Tyner's were very hospitable and kind. Terry the chef and all around girl Friday was a joy. When I left my eclipse t-shirt in my room, Terry texted me and sent it back. She also let us know if we needed anything, we could call her anytime of the day or night. Terry is truly a special person. Everyone goes out their way to make you feel at home. Oh, and the rooms are great! Will definitely stay here again.

The Veranda on Main bed-and-breakfast inn is elegant and charming. The breakfast is truly gourmet and the hostess is so gracious and helpful, making special phone calls on our behalf to open doors for us. Veranda on Main is a wonderful place .

I was in Abbeville to officiate a wedding for my cousin. Getting there is quite a drive, but the reward was staying at Veranda on Main. Mid 1800's southern home renovated to the exact specs of the original property. What a fantastic stay!! Owners are so nice, country breakfast in the morning was totally area proper. My room was something out of a movie. Clean, fresh but time appropriate. Do stay here and take in what a small town in SC feels like. Two bars in town, two restaurants run by locals, more like coffee shops and just good old, low key fun. Don't forget to tour two of the town haunted mansions,oooooooooh.

I stayed at the Veranda Inn for 3 nights in September and loved it. The Inn is beautiful and from the moment you enter the front door, you begin to relax in its elegant, peaceful atmosphere. The hosts have considered every detail and are very gracious. I stayed in the room with the twin beds and it was delightful. I ended each day by sitting on the upstairs porch overlooking the street, enjoying the quiet evening. There is a small fridge, along with coffee/tea and snacks in the upstairs guest area. This was very convenient since I was on the go and never made it for the morning breakfast downstairs. The entire property is immaculate and I will be sure to stay there again, next time I am in Abbeville.

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at Veranda on Main this past
weekend. We had a great time visiting Abbeville during a fall festival. The inn was absolutely beautiful inside and out -- impeccably decorated down to the smallest detail. Linda and Thom were so friendly and gracious -- just extremely interested in making sure our stay was enjoyable and comfortable. Breakfast was incredibly delicious! The whole house is very tastefully decorated. The "Green Room" we had was perfect for the 2 of us. Quiet and relaxing, it was the perfect stay for us. Linda is a true example of Southern hospitality. We will certainly be back!

We were driving from MS and due to a storm we were arriving late in the evening. The owners were very understanding and we were able to check in when we arrived in town. Rooms are beautiful and comfy!
