This is my first time staying at TRU. I am a loyal Marriott and Hyatt member but thought to give it a try .
Location is good , close to KOP. There are many restaurant around , giant groceries store , Wawa gas station and nice area.
Hotel condition is pretty new. Love the wood flooring , nice wide open spaces lobby , very chic feeling and look, free breakfast, free coffee all day and free parking .
Room is nice , small table , small fridge and open closet, small room for a king size bed .
CON. The bed frame is too wide and walk space is tight . I keep smashing my knees to the edge of the bed frame. HOLY....C.... hurt like hell. Wish they have this bed like most hotel where the bed edge is inside . Bad bad designs .
Nice wood tile flooring in the room , bathroom clean , shampoo, soap and lotions all
Are in squeezing tubing . Nice . Safe the environment of plastic . Good job

New and clean, this hotel has a modern European look and feel. The lobby is open space with areas to gather and socialize (games, TVs, out door patio). Morning breakfast is standard cereal, bagels, oatmeal, eggs and juice. There's a First Watch breakfast restaurant next door if you want a big meal.
Rooms are small in regards to square footage and lack a closet, a dresser and lounge chair found in most hotels. There's not even a wardrobe cabinet (what would CS Lewis say?). Rooms do have a little frig and about a 48" wall mounted TV. A small writing table (like something for an elementary school child) gives you someplace to set a laptop, but if you need to spread out, you'll be on the bed.
Bathrooms are spacious with a walk in glass shower and wall mounted tubes of soap and shampoo.
There seems to be plenty of parking and easy back access to major roads like Trooper and Egypt.
Two concerns. First, half the front desk staff was welcoming, the others just looked through you like you don't exist. My feelings on how and why would probably be flagged so I won't say anymore.
Second, the bed frame sticks out about 5" and the corners are rather painful to trip over. About twice each evening I ran into a corner. And it's not just me, another associate here for work brought it up too.
So I'm conflicted, the pricing is $20 to $40 less than other local hotel properties. I'll save $20 a night and get over some of the front desk staff. But....... banging my legs is really unpleasant.
Anyway, added an image of the protruding bed corner and an image of the supervisor education level.

I will state the positives first. The room was new and you could tell. The property smelled fresh and clean and was nicely up to date. The bathroom was large and the shower worked well. The bed was very comfortable. The staff was all very friendly and greeted us each time we were in the lobby.
Negatives: Honestly this was not my favorite stay at a Hilton property. My wife and I stayed here for three nights in a king room and we found the rooms to be just too small for the two of us to be comfortable. Since we were there for three nights we had taken our large roller suitcase (the kind that needs to be fully opened to access completely). There, literally, was nowhere in the room to open the suitcase and not have it in our way blocking a walkway. Also, the room only had three small pillows on the bed. My wife and I both usually use at least two pillows each. I managed with one pillow the first night and ended up purchasing another for my use at Ikea the next day. Also, for a new hotel, the walls are thin here. Each of the three nights I was here I was awaken at 5 AM by the alarm clock in the room next to me. There is no reason that an alarm clock should be able to be heard in the next room except for lack of insulation. Finally, breakfast was pretty disappointing as well. Of the three mornings we were there the selection was sparse to say the least. Eggs completely gone two mornings, one or two bagels on the rack, no fruit at all available.
One night at this hotel would be fine but I would not recommend it for more than that. Honestly, I would probably just choose to stay elsewhere next time I'm in town especially if I am staying more than one night.

Hotel's Favourite
Our family enjoyed our stay. The hotel is conveniently located. It was very clean and even had a game room for the kids. The staff was friendly and helpful. Free breakfast had something for everyone. Would stay here again.

A lovely totally renovated hotel in colors of pre-school. Simplistic to the bone - no soap or lotion, squiz bottles of shampoo that smell like dishwasher liquid.
Commendable cleaniness, thought the place is quite new.
Quite overpriced for the comfort and service however location is proximate to most of local 'attractions.'

The advertised “fun size” rooms are tiny and awkward. The desk barely has room for a laptop. No closet. Very cramped.
They don’t have proper luggage carts. They use a low-quality version of the 3-wheeled airport style cart. It’s a huge pain in the ass, and would be impossible to transport luggage for a small family.
The room has no windows that open or bathroom fan. So, no fresh air is possible.
The alarm in the empty room next door went off at 5:55 am twice. (The helper failed to deactivate the alarm after the first time.)
The internet worked on my phone, but a glitch prevented my new MacBook Pro from being given the log in screen. So no WiFi. I called the number in the welcome guide for assistance, but the company that answered doesn’t service the hotel. The desk found a different company to call, but they don’t service the hotel either. The desk lady offered to help, suggesting that “it could be the weather.”
I was told the manager would call, but didn’t.
Everything about this hotel seems to be an experiment in how little they can spend, and what minimum service level guests will tolerate.
Based on my stay, I’ll avoid this line of hotels.

This hotel is fabulous!!! Everything was top notch and I would go here again in a heartbeat! I loved especially how everything was sanitized in the room and even when we left, we put our key cards in a bucket of cleaner. Great touch!! No other hotels do that. The bed and room was so comfortable and clean!! 100% 😊

Excellent staff. Hotel is next to a Starbucks, a First Watch restaurant which has excellent breakfast/lunch, Panera and many other restaurants. Easy drive to hotel and easy drive to Philadelphia convention center which took about an hour with traffic. We like that hotel room has no carpet since one person has asthma and that hotel is near good restaurants since one person has food allergies.

We stayed at a tru brand for the first time and definitely enjoyed it. The rooms are a little small, but have the essentials for a short stay. Soap/shampoo is dispensed out of large bottles, allowing them to be more eco-friendly. The lobby area is great - caters to families, with really cool, comfortable seating options, games (big jenga and connect 4!) and 2 foosball tables. It was wonderful to see people relaxing and having a good time. My teenage son and I both agreed that this is a brand worth visiting again!

We had a great stay at the new Tru hotel. We are loyal Hilton honors members and this was our first time at a Tru brand. The hotel is very new (a month and a half old), so it is very clean and modern. The staff was always friendly and smiling. We were surprised at the minimal amount of storage space for clothing (no drawers, no closet with a door), but the room itself was nicely appointed. We were a little disappointed to find the soap was a large squeeze bottle on the wall rather than a bar of soap.
Just not our preference. The fitness center was a good size with two treadmills and one elliptical. There were plenty of free weights and mats as well. We also appreciated that the hotel was pet friendly ($50 fee). Lots of great shopping (King of Prussia Mall!) and dining nearby. The Eat'n Sip market is a nice touch too, with plenty of drink and snack options 24/7. If we are in the area again, we would likely stay at Tru or at the Homewood Suites next door if we need a little more room.
