This motel is really poorly maintained. I needed a room for Moms weekend and it was better than not visiting at all, but it was really bad. The room stunk like smoke, burn marks on the furniture, stained ceilings, etc (see pictures). I heard a noise in the wall during the night that I'm assuming was some sort of rodent. There seemed to be long-term residents there. I do have to say that whomever does the cleaning seems to do the best job they can given the circumstances.

Dirty, dirty, dirty, and nasty run down damaged property. .The check in was disgusting. We walked in and walked out and proceeded to sleep in the car. God awful and we do not know how this joke of a place passes the Board of Health

friendly owners, clean sheets, heater worked strong wi/fi, dirty broken windows, grubby dirty feel to the room, doors and fittings functional but worn out or broken, would never return even if paid to, the place should be closed and licence revoked.

The owners were friendly, and helpful, I was actually offered a cheaper room on check-in.
The motel is old, but the room was clean, smelled OK, the mattress felt new, and the A/C worked well. Bathroom fixtures were old & worn and there were some crude but functional repairs to the plumbing - exposed water pipes.
The bathroom was clean and properly stocked with towels and toiletries. The room had the usual amenities -TV, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, all of which were in good condition. WiFi worked with no problems.
I was traveling for business in the Athens area, paying my own expenses, and rooms in Athens are usually scarce and expensive. I've stayed in worse for twice the price. If what you need is a safe, clean & secure place to spend the night, and don't expect much in the way of amenities, this is a good deal for Athens.
