The Westin Kuala Lumpur garners high marks for its cleanliness and well-kept rooms, according to guests, with a particular nod to the housekeeping staff's efficiency. Many visitors enjoy the hotel's spacious and comfortable rooms, although there are occasional remarks about the need for updates. The hotel's ambiance is generally appreciated for its modern touches, contributing to an inviting atmosphere.
The staff's professionalism and friendliness are often commended, despite rare service hiccups. Located centrally, the hotel is a hit among travelers keen on shopping and city exploration. While the amenities like the gym and pool are celebrated, opinions on the hotel's value for money show some divergence, with the location and staff sometimes compensating for any shortcomings.

Detailed Reviews
Another year, another stay at Westin KL.
Service at this hotel is superb, located opposite the Pavilion & best street shopping in KL.
Club Room Cocktails offered drinks and dinner that feel like full board dinner - hot local dishes, soups, salads & more.
Patrons so enthused by the drinks, food in abundance. Staff in attendance and so chatty.
Greg the General Manager is on the floor every day greeting guests. He is amazing.
“Said” the club manager, the face of the Club room encouraging patrons to dinIng. We love you Said” and we shall keep coming.
We met “Basco” first time in club room always refilling our drinks and teas, was so good, so passionate.
Food at Westin KL has dishes that vary each day. Buffet breakfast with multi stations of Malaysian, Indian, Japanese, & international dishes, and of course it’s dedicated deli and bakery room so famous of Westin KL.
Faoud, food and beverages manager, greeting & present ensuring all dishes are hot, the Sous chef encouraging guests to yummy dishes no doubt. As well as the young female soup chef.
Words cannot describe this experience, our 11th yearly stay and were so enthused with this stay, dishes so delicious!!
We travel to Asia & Europe yearly yet Westin KL is the only hotel we continue to visit year in year out, a foodies delight.
Rooms very spacious & refurbished. Excellent house keeping.
We highly recommend Westin KL.

+1
We spent four fantastic nights here and it was our second stay at the hotel. When we stayed last year we had a few issues which we brought to the attention of Gregory the Hotel’s General Manager who assured us if we ever returned he would make things right and he sure did!
Gregory offered us a complimentary room upgrade which was very gratefully accepted. Thank you again Gregory and thanks also for the chocolates and fruit platter.
Things got off to a great start at check-in when Gregory took time out of his busy schedule to come downstairs and welcome us and even accompanied us upstairs in the lift.
We had an amazing room on the 32nd floor with sweeping views across central KL. I could have sat and looked at the view all day and all night.
The room was very spacious and was kept spotlessly clean and well stocked during our entire stay. The bath products and other amenities were fantastic. We also loved the big fluffy towels.
We were lucky enough to have a Lavazza coffee maker in our room which was nice to have in the mornings.
Our room came with Club benefits which includes breakfast, all day refreshments, evening drinks and dinner (effectively). The food was always great and the staff attentive. We always felt welcome and well looked after. We’d like to specially mention the little ray of sunshine Vennie who was always pleased to see us and happy to have a chat. She was so keen to offer us tips for having a great time in KL. She’s a fantastic member of the already great Club team.
The location of the hotel can’t be beaten as it’s right in the middle of the Golden Triangle and the amazing Pavilion Mall is directly across the street. Lots of other food and shopping is within a few minutes walk in just about any direction you choose. If you have the Grab app on your phone you can get a car to drive you anywhere in the city. The Westin truly is in an awesome location.
I think we’ve found our home away from home in KL in the form of the Westin. I’ve been to KL more times than I can count, and this is by far the best all round package I’ve come across. The staff are fantastic and I think this is because they have an awesome General Manager at the helm.
Thanks again Gregory and to all your team. Thanks also for coming down to say goodbye, it proved you truly are focused on guest satisfaction and in building long-term relationships with repeat guests. Wishing you continued success for 2020. We can’t wait to come back and see more of the ongoing changes.

This was a return visit to the Westin Hotel after many years! As business and indeed pleasure will now again bring me (us) back to KL, renewing ties with the Westin was the best thing we could have done. It is a terrific hotel with an amazing location in the heart of the city. A stone’s throw away from the Pavillion, Bukit Bintang, Times Square and it just goes on and on.
The recently appointed General Manager, Mr Gregory Gubiani is a gentleman and has what it takes to hold such an important and prestigious position. He is a ‘hands on’ GM and has his finger on the pulse and is surrounded by an exemplary team. He has clearly maintained, if not surpassed the standard expected of a 5 star hotel. Thank you Gregory for your generosity and hospitality.
The hotel facilities are excellent and the rooms impeccable. They are spacious and extremely clean and service is second to none. The kitchen staff are very understanding and will accommodate requests as desired. A special mention must go to head Chef who was very good at managing the kitchen and his staff. Mention too must go to Radha (at the Level 1 breakfast lounge) who was very pleasant and helpful and gave us a very detailed and welcome history of some of the local sweets and even elected to bring us some samples to try which was very thoughtful and appreciated! Everyone on Level 1 was attentive and greeted us with big smiles!
The Club lounge was run like a well oiled machine by Said and Odie – two managers that have been with the brand for many years! It was great to see them both again! They are both exceptional in their job and are truly assets to the brand! Well done and thank you to you both!
Staff throughout the Hotel that we encountered during our stay were very polite and always ready to be of assistance. We felt very well looked after and the attention to such detail is what really matters at the end of the day.
In celebrating our wedding anniversary too, our room was also made up beautifully with immaculately configured rose petals on our bed along with fruit and chocolates and other delights to mark the occasion. My wife was most impressed!!
Mr Gubiani has gone above and beyond and should be commended for his efforts and skillset. He has brought the Westin to new heights and we will definitely be returning when next in KL!

Stayed at The Westin Kuala Lumpur for 3 nights. My family and myself were so lucky to have met and being served by the Chef Concierge Mizan and team. The entire concierge team were always ready to assist with every need and concern of the family. Especially travelling with a dad who requires wheelchair for his movements, Mizan and team was there to welcome us and provided express check in and settled us down immediately upon our arrival. Everyday when we came back to the hotel, the doorman and the bell team coordinates the sending of my dad to the room without fail. Over the entire stay Mizan and team seem to have placed on their daily checklist to check on the family's wellbeing till the day of our departure. The Club Team also stood out with ensuring the dietary preferences of my parents were carefully prepared. Kudos to Westin KL for an 'Out of This World Hospitality!'

Just checked out from Westin Kuala Lumpur and wish I could give Westin Kuala Lumpur a higher rating as this is my first time staying at The Westin Kuala Lumpur, but due to a few incidents that had happened during the pre arrival stages, hence the rating that has been given.
Positive: -
Firstly, I really liked the service that was provided at The Westin Kuala Lumpur especially at The Living Room. The staff at The Living Room were really helpful and friendly. In addition, the food that was served at The Living Room was also delicious and I really like the buffet breakfast spread at The Living Room as there was a variety of food that was served during breakfast.
I also really like how quick the staff were when dealing with the lighting issues that I had in the room upon arrival.
Also like that the bed and pillows were very comfortable as well.
In terms of location, the location was perfect as it was located within waking distance to Pavillion & Lot 10
Negative: -
The main issue that I had during my stay at The Westin Kuala Lumpur was during the pre arrival stages of my stay.
As soon as the mobile chat became available on the Marriott Bonvoy app on Saturday morning (12th March), I had sent a mobile chat to the hotel to reconfirm on my reservation at The Living Room for dinner on Monday night (14th March) at 8pm via TableApp & I had provided my contact number and email for the dining team to contact me to reconfirm on my dining reservation as per requested. However, throughout the whole day, there was no call or email to reconfirm on my reservation and I had to ask again later via the mobile chat in the evening, closer to 10pm the same day to ask if someone will be following up on my reservation & only then someone contacted me regarding my reservation.
Also, information was not clearly informed prior to check in to me. Had asked prior to check in via the mobile chat about how much the deposit was at Westin Kuala Lumpur & if I can pay the deposit via cash. Was informed that the deposit was RM200 however was not informed if I was able to pay by cash for the deposit. Asked again about the deposit and only to be repeated that the RM200 will be collected upon check in. Later in the evening when I did my mobile check in and informed via the mobile chat that I’ll be paying with a different card and also be paying the RM200 deposit by cash and my request was noted. Upon check in, I was informed that I would need to pay the room charges on top of the RM200 deposit and this information was not informed to me when I had asked about the deposit. Luckily the person who did my check in offered an alternative for me.
As a whole, I wish that the mobile chat during the pre arrival stages could have been better and could have been avoided if proper information and also follow up was given before I arrived at the hotel.

We stayed in 2 interconnecting rooms at the Westin over the holidays. Overall, it was a little disappointing compared to other Marriott and Westin hotels we have stayed at in the past. Apart from the location which was superb and opposite Pavilion, Bukit Bintang and Lot 10, we felt that there were lots of areas for improvement.
Firstly, the twin rooms had twin single beds which is quite different from other Westin hotels which are twin double beds. The mattress was also a little saggy. The king room had a large king which was comfortable and not saggy. Secondly, the bath robe was not changed and although was hung neatly, had stains so we could not use it. Thirdly, the mini bar was empty - for the price paid, I think they could have provided some complimentary refreshments. The shower gels, shampoo etc were super tiny - finished at one go! So for a family with kids, we had to keep asking for more. The car park exit machine for payment was spoilt and we had to go up and down to check with the lobby staff. The check in counter staff just told us to tell the guy at the car park booth but the guy was missing from the booth so we waited a while. They should have a better system for their parking for hotel guests.
The staff that stood out was the friendly porter at the front entrance who provided us with tips on where to go for meals and was nice and friendly. Otherwise, the usual Malaysian friendliness was missing from the rest of the staff.

This hotel is perfectly located in the most prime location in KL
Right across the street from Pavilion Mall
5 minutes from Jalan Alor night market
8 minutes from KLCC park and the twin towers.
Can't think of a better location for a hotel. Nice pool area and fitness facilities.
Breakfast buffet was outstanding with so much selection and everyone was so helpful and friendly.
Executive lounge is on 3rd floor and nice as well.
Happy hour from 6 to 8pm but kids only allowed until 7pm in case you are coming with family for your awareness.

We spent a week at the Westin. We had initially booked the Executive room with Club lounge access, however we were pleasantly surprised to receive a room upgrade to the one bedroom suite!
The room was spacious and luxurious. A full kitchen, lounge with TV, a sort of indoor balcony, study, and master bedroom with powder room and en suite.
There was even a knife block, however scissors would have been more handy to have.
The Club Lounge was amazing! We had a choice of breakfast either there or the Living Room. We found the Living Room better for variety and delicious meals for breakfast and the club lounge perfect for drinks and canapes (more like dinner).
We got 2 hours of alcoholic beverages at night to indulge in and they also made freshly squeezed fruit juices plus tea and coffee throughout the day.
The service was brilliant, there were a few hiccups here and there but that is expected during the busy Christmas rush.
Special thanks to Christina whose exceptional service made her basically our friend by the end of our stay.
The pool was lovely however they ran out of pool towels one day and so we could not swim which was not good. We had waited an hour and still there were no towels :(
The gym was brilliant. We used it everyday. Great range of equipment and weights plus good view. The gym changing rooms were top notch, even had hair dryers.

+1
I often check in hotel for staycation in my country, especially in the City Center of Kuala Lumpur. For Westin Kuala Lumpur, This is my 6th stay over the last 12 months.
The hotel has the advantage of the location at bukit bintang with shopping paradise like Lot 10, Pavillion, Sungai Wang and 15 minutes walking distance to KLCC. You aiso get the chance to explore the nightlife of the city, local food stalls around Bukit bintang & Jalan Imbi, Night food market at jalan alor, choices of bar at Changkat bukit bintang.
Hotel room is nice and clean with a great city view. Poor sound proof from the corridor need to be improved. Housekeeping crew talk very loud and you might need to remind them on the poor sound proof.
There are choices of restaurant in the hotel and the food that serving include the in-room dining are good with reasonable price. Facilities like gym, pools etc in the hotel are well maintained.
Although all the above are plus plus, one thing i must share is the service level of the team need to improve a lot, especially at the Living Room. I am not sure if its only myself, the team especially the Manager & Chef in the living room only greet non-Asian guests ? Discrimination ? But i am sure they are asian too.
If you would like to have their buffet, bear with their unlabelled food item. Even i asked the manager (i remember his name is Sazly) on the food label and he shown me unfriendly face without even say thank you. Plus the chef is around. What a shamed. To be very frank, I wouldn’t put in my Trip Advisor review if this only happened for once.
I felt offended as an asian (to be more precise Malaysian) , if the hotel management do think that only non-asian deserve good service. Urging the GM Greg Gubiani and other GMs of Marriott hotel Group to look into this matter seriously. This is not the matter of labour shortage but its how you maintain the quality of service without prejudice or discrimination.

We spent our staycation by the pool most of the time. Rahmad at the Splash Bar served us accordingly, friendly and helpful. Will visit again for sure. Breakfast was good, room need a bit of improvement ( the annoying part is we can hear guest upstairs using a toilet everytime the sound of water is too loud )

Grab ( the Uber equivalent in KL) is the best way to go. Approx. RM$90-100 (USD$ 20 dep. on xchg rate) 1 way for a mid-size car.
The spread for breakfast in the lounge is limited compared to the main breakfast spread on the ground floor. It is worth having it on the ground floor.
It’s quite quite as it may be sound proof I guess
Corridor noise of subjective. If you have a bad Neighbours or noisy neighbours, they will make noise anyway. 😀 we were lucky to have good ones and we couldn’t hear anything.
6am - 10pm. Yes, alcohol is served during the happy hour: 6-830pm.
They had the standard beers and wines. The whiskey was Jameson and the vodka was Absolut. I don’t know if they served cocktails.
