The Ritz-Carlton Kuala Lumpur, often celebrated for its professional and attentive service, stands out for its exceptional cleanliness and elegant charm. While opinions on value vary, with some citing reasonable rates and others pointing to high prices, the hotel's amenities, including comfortable rooms, a Club Lounge, and multiple pools, are regularly praised. Its central location is a hit among travelers for easy access to shopping and attractions. Although most find the rooms luxurious, a few guests suggest they could benefit from updates.

We stayed here for a week as during the CNY holidays. We booked the airport transportation through the hotel and the car dropped us right outside the Club Lounge which impressed us very much. Check-in was very smooth. We had to change our room as the smell of cologne used by a former guest filled up the room for days. The hotel staff was very happy to help. We treasured the old-fashioned style of the hotel and did not find it tired. The room was spacious and the bedding was ok. However the cleaniness had room to improve as we found sunstantial dirt at the neck of the shower and smell from newly replaced towels. The hotel staff quickly helpd us solved the issues. The ventilation on the 8th floor was sometimes warm and wet and sometimes cold.

We loved the location of this hotel. Very convenient to most malls in the City Centre. From Starhill to TRX to Pavilion to Lot10, from highest luxury to middle-class fashion to street food are where you can get to, all within 5-10 minute walk, which is rather rare around the world. This is especially valuable given the severe congestion problem in the Kuala Lumpur City Centre.

The Club Lounge was comfortable. It offered food almost all-day and was a very good place to relax. The private lift was a plus as it improved privacy. The staff was friendly and eager to help but they couldn't multi-task very well. When the Club Wing was fully booked or the lounge was full and under-staffed then things turned chaotic. We encountered some long waits and limited choices of food during the local CNY holidays but we could always eat out fortunately. Breakfast in Lounge and in the main restaurant were good. The latter offered nice variety of food.

There was a long corridor connecting the two wings of the hotel. In-between there was nice Jazz trio in the evening which we enjoyed the most...like travelling on a cruise! Thanks so much to Shammim and Yan Tun for your excellent service. The drinks and the music experience was so unforgettable. Also, special thanks to the Lounge Manager Mussadiq M for all of his help! We hope to see you again!

We had an excellent experience at the Ritz Carlton in Kuala Lumpur. We were there for a family wedding and the staff went out of their way to make my family feel as comfortable as possible. The rooms were well maintained and on the day of the wedding, the dry cleaning service was very responsive and efficient. The waiters for the wedding also went out of their way to make sure the wedding went as smoothly as possible.

We also had breakfast included which I would highly recommend. The manager in charge of the breakfast service and the staff including Nilofer and Arjun did their best to support my family including elder members of my family who needed more assistance.

All in, we really enjoyed our time at the Ritz Carlton and would definitely stay there again on holiday and would also highly recommend it as a wedding venue.

For a 5 star hotel this was for me an experience spoilt by the bed. The mattress was so hard that I could not sleep for any significant stretch of time without having significant pains in my joints. I resorted to sleeping on all the pillows to try and soften the experience. This was a slight but not great help. Housekeeping were very good in providing a additional quilt to help soften the mattress and further additional pillows. However, I never got a really restful sleep.
This experience made me think that if hotels could have some decent proper mattress toppers eg memory foam toppers, this would help where some guests want firm or hard mattresses vs those who want softer mattresses like me.

The air conditioning & wifi in the room was excellent.

The hot water in the bath, even at maximum, was tepid at best. I was told this was not remediable. There was also no shampoo or body wash provided for the bath.

The soundproofing of the rooms was pretty good.

The hotel club lounge was reasonable but not the best in terms of the food it provided. It offered breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, evening food and a few small cakes between 8-10pm. Some fresh fruit was always available. The Club lounge staff were very good and friendly and nothing was too much. Wilson was outstanding.

When my key card to my room and the club area failed on Sunday after the buffet lunch at the Library, I was unable to operate the lifts to my room or to the club area to get my key working again. The library staff would not assist me or escort me to the club area to solve this, despite showing them proof of my club status. I thus had to go to the main reception where there was a significant queue to get this sorted. It felt unnecessarily unhelpful for a guest paying a premium rate for the accommodation.

Leaving Kuala Lumpur today. Stayed at the Ritz Carlton. Our room was spotless and quiet, which was great after a long day sightseeing in the heat. The location of the hotel is great. There is no atmosphere in the bar in the evening. The service is mixed. A young girl looked after us very well one evening, she was very pleasant ( sorry I forgot her name) . We enjoyed our breakfast, Tarikula A was exceptional. He made different mixed juices for us every morning that set us up for the day, thank you.

The most amazing hotel experience ever! In terms of quality, customer service, value, and location, nothing comes close to this.

Breakfast buffet at the spacious Cobalt Room is out of this world! So many different types of food to satisfy every ethnicity. Eight different freshly squeezed juices to choose from. Sixteen different blends of teas. The list goes on and on.

Rooms are spacious and well appointed. They must be soundproofed walls since I didn’t hear any noise from other rooms nearby.

Their friendly staff is extremely attentive and kind. The level of customer service from the bellmen to the wait staff, front desk, room service, IT techs, is beyond expectation. It’s very clear that the training they’d received was from a 6-diamond level training department.

Located next to JW Marriott and Westin, across from The Pavilion luxury shopping mall, it’s literally in the center of everything. Walkable to just about anywhere. There’s even an elevated air-conditioned walkway that’ll connect you to JWM next door. Once you cross the street, Pavilion also has an air conditioned walkway that’ll take you to KLCC. So conveniently located!

The value is incredible. I won’t elaborate because it’s the best kept secret. Book a stay. You’ll find out!

Here’s the icing on the cake: When I checked in, somehow they saw that my birthday was occuring during my 3-night stay. When I returned from sightseeing on my birthday, I found balloons, towels wrapped like a King’s crown, a Happy Birthday cake, and a personalized birthday card. It brought me to tears. I mean…how do you top that?!

As a senior inspector for a government agency’s Customer Services Department, my experience was phenomenal! I think all customer service professionals needs to be trained by this hotel’s training team.

Room and location:
The room had quite a wow factor to it; my favourite part of the room was the beautiful marble bathroom. The water pressure for the shower was strong and the bath tub had a jar of Epsom salts beside it. The hotel is located in a very central part of the city. Even being in a high traffic area, I barely heard anything from outside. It was very comfortable. It had a nice touch with the welcome message on the TV as I walked in.

Service:
This was our first time staying at a Ritz-Carlton hotel and I have to say wow, the service level is phenomenal! When we checked in, we went to the regular check-in desk without realizing we could have checked in at the club lounge side. The staff were extremely helpful because they even personally walked us over to the club lounge side instead of just pointing where to go. They explained how the elevator worked to access the lounge and what each floor had. The turndown service was done with care such as making sure there was bottle of water and a cup available at the bedside each night, along with a small snack and a note (typically with a poem or literary quote).

Lounge:
It felt like walking into a fine dining restaurant. The staff were so welcoming and attentive. They would greet the guests by name (Mr. / Ms. ___). They showed us around the lounge, walked us to our table, and promptly asked what drink we would like to start. There was a nice drink selection which included a signature Ritz Spritz cocktail. During the afternoon tea, the snacks arrived on a high tea tray and the staff member described each item on the tray.

Overall:
I think staff at this hotel made this experience the best stay we’ve ever had at any hotel.

We had 6 nights in a club room . Overall a good stay with areas for improvement . It’s in a great location for shopping and food . 5 minutes to pavilion n the new TRX shopping mall . 10 min to Jalan Alor street food and a host of local , Indian and Chinese hawker vendors off Jalan imbi as well as some decent Chinese restaurants on that street . The staff are in the main , really well trained and the room was huge with a seperate walk in dressing room and recently renovated , so fresh and clean . Bed was a little too hard for our liking but nothing overly wrong with it .
The improvements , internet cover was poor and tv channels limited with no wifi tv connections to stream Netflix or utube. Food in the club lounge was also very limited and poor quality and the club lounge was in dire need of renovation. One night we couldn’t even get a table and had to sit in the lobby for evening drinks and it wasn’t peak season . breakfast we had to eat almost every morning in the buffet as the club lounge choices were so poor . The buffet choices were decent but quality was nothing special . Plenty of choices outside of the hotel . House keeping was also hit n miss and the club privileges were a big gap to other hotels such as mandarin oriental .
Overall , we would come back mainly due to the location , room size and the staff at the club rooms ( located in a seperate building) . Very helpful and polite.

This is our second stay at the Ritz in KL. Last time our stay was because of the construction going on at JW Marriott which was our preferred hotel and the time was before COVID. Last time we stayed in a 3 bedroom suite which was amazing and we loved our stay. Hence we decided to stay at the Ritz again this time in a 2 bedroom suite with my family and 2 kids.

Sadly we were really disappointed with the room quality of the suites especially on the higher floors. We were given initially a suite on the 12th floor. There was some construction noise due to some works going on in the next door building. We complained to the hotel and they gave us another suite at the 31st floor. Then we had another big issue with the AC of the suite which we came to know that higher floors suite rooms are facing problems. We were given extra stand fan and also a stand cooler to solve the issue but it was not really sufficient.

We were then again transferred to 8th floor to another suite. Where we finally settled down. It was really unpleasant to move twice with my family on a vacation. We even tried moving next door to JW Marriott which was unfortunately fully booked.

This trip at the Ritz was a disaster whereas we had so much high hopes of a wonderful vacation.

The hotel location is top notch. Staff are friendly. But the suite rooms need renovations urgently as they have an old look. The main issue with the AC on the suites of higher floors must be addressed immediately.

Breakfast restaurant was good but very busy. Water dispenser is given in the suite kitchen but separate water bottles are much preferred as it is a hassle to go and get water every time from the kitchen. The fridge does not have anything provided inside as even though it can be on payment basis but sometimes you need some food items on emergency.

It is really sad but hopefully they will get everything sorted out soon so that it can still be our favorite place in KL next time.

There are many hotels in Qualunpur but I am this Ritz-Carlton for 5 years in a row. If you stay with a lounge, you can eat at a four-meal hotel and feel safe.
Breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, cocktail hour and dessert time are just too busy to eat. Afternoon tea in the lounge is served at the hotel tea lounge for 10,000 yen, and there are plenty of afternoon tea cakes! The hospitality of the lounge staff is great again! Even the hospitality in your room is impressed every time! Thank you very much to all the lounge staff! I'll see you next year!
