I remeber that i paid more than 20,000 Yen per night. Breakfast was so so, but the service was good. I like the location, but I think it is kinda expensive. I would choose other business hotels near Shinsaibashi if possible.

Stayed here alone for a couple of nights back in Nov. This is the 2nd Daiwa Roynet hotel i have stayed in the Osaka area. The first one is the Daiwa Roynet Kitahama. All Daiwa Roynets are good "bang for the buck", so i won't describe basic stuff like room size, amenities, etc. as they are all pretty much the same across the chain. But I would prefer this more than the Kitahama one due to a few reasons:

- opposite to Kintetsu station, so if you are travelling to/from Nagoya via Kintetsu Railway, this location would be very convenient
- airport bus stop right by station
- many small restaurants nearby
- supermarket around the corner
- nice shopping mall next to station
- easy access to Nihonbashi, Namba area as well as to Osaka station

One thing that impresses me most is the restaurant on G/F of the hotel. You can get big set breakfast (non-buffet) there for a very reasonable price. During lunch/dinner, the restaurant serves quality set meals for very decent price (eg. most meals are between 500-800 yens) with all-you-can-eat rice that you can refill yourself. I have been to Japan many times and the food at the restaurant is definitely great quality and value.

One tip for those considering to stay here. If you are arriving by flight to Osaka Kansai airport, take the airport bus directly to Uehonmachi. You can take the Nankai train to Namba and transfer to the Kintetsu line as well, but there is a bit of walk (10 min) between Nankai Namba station and Kintetsu Namba station. Unless you are using the Kintetsu Kansai Pass, i would recommend you take the bus instead which is more directly and less walk.

I had stayed at this hotel in early August for four nights with my family with a total of four people. We had reserved two rooms and the hotel staff was so kind to arrange both rooms next to each other. Our two rooms were not facing at the main road (Uemachi-suji) and locating on higher floor and so they were very quiet. The rooms were so nice, well-maintained, clean and tidy but not spacious. You didn’t need to worry about where to dine. Just within a walking distance from the hotel, there were many different types of restaurant / fast food / supermarket /….
The staff in this hotel were professional and helpful. They could speak good English and followed all our requests promptly.
The location of the hotel was extremely convenient – Just within 5-minute walk from Subway Tanimachi Kyuchome. You might use HiHiTown Exit and passed through this shopping centre to the hotel. There were a lot of restaurants in this shopping centre and you might try them some days. The lobby of this hotel was locating on 2nd floor and the elevators must stop this floor no matter whether you were going up or down. I thought this was for security purpose. If you needed to use the Kintetsu Line, for example to Nara, you just needed to walk to this shopping centre and down to the B1, you would arrive the Kintetsu Osaka-Uehonmachi Station first before arriving the subway. There was also a nice bus line #62 passing through the main road and the bus stop was right in front of the hotel. You might use this bus to go to Osaka Castle (about 10 minutes) and even to Osaka Station or Umeda (about 30 minutes). On the other way round, you might also take this bus to Tennoji Station and it was more convenient than taking subway.
I would highly recommend this hotel to other people. For us, we would definitely stay at this hotel when we visit Osaka next time.

I stayed at the Daiwa Roynet hotel for a total of 4 nights and I'm glad I did.
This was without a doubt an excellent hotel with larger then normal rooms( Japan Standards) in a great location.
The Hotel is easily accessiable from the Airport and for 2800 YEN you can take the Airport Limosine bus from outside KIX arrivals and getting off at Sheraton Miyako Hotel Osaka. The hotel is a few minutes walk from there, more information is on the below link :
http://www.kansai-airport.or.jp/en/access/bus/index.html
The Hotel also is only a couple of minutes walk from Kintetsu Line's Osaka Uehonmachi Station and about 10 minutes to Sh1tennoji Temple.
The area has many places to eat and various supermarkets if you need to grab something for back at the hotel.
Overall an excellent Hotel and highly recommended for anyone staying Osaka.

The hotel was near the train station, about a 5 minute walk. Also, there were many shops and convenience stores around. The area was relatively quiet. The room was fairly spacious and clean. The staff were very helpful as well. Breakfast is also great.

We stayed 4 nights during the peak Cherry Blossom season in a superior double. Convenience wise there is a bus stop outside and the train station is comfortable 5 minute or so walk. There are plenty of eateries in the adjacent and nearby shopping centres, with a supermarket around the corner. For breakfast you could go down to the cafe located at ground level - it’s cheap but pretty bland. Or go to the supermarket or any one of the cafes located near the train station. There is a handy coin operated laundry onsite but no room safe. Tourist wise, there probably isn’t a lot within the immediate district. It’s at least a 30 minute walk to the Dotonbori district, but you can always take a bus or train. Checkin time is as specified so even if you are a few minutes early - you can’t check in. There is a late checkout option where you can pay by the hour. The bed was comfortable and the room was well insulated even though we were near the lifts. Very basic tea and coffee options are provided. There was limited space in our room for 2 large suitcases, with a fold top stand provided for one case. Likewise the bathroom offered little space for a toiletry bag. Overall, it was reasonable value for money, the reception staff were friendly and it was a convenient place to stay.

We had one night in Osaka before heading to Kyoto and we stayed at this location. The area is good, plenty of amenities around and walking distance to interesting areas. The staff was polite and check in was efficient. Once we got to our room (very standard hotel room for Japan, which is fine) the place smelled like an ashtray. The room just reeked of cigarettes. We were given a smoking room! Yes, apparently they still exist. I am quite sensitive to it, so we went downstairs to request a room change. The staff didn't seem very fazed and simply said that unless you specifically request a non smoking room (as in add a note when booking it) the default would be a smoking room. There's nothing they could do. It was a Friday night and the city was packed, so switching hotels wasn't an option. We sprayed the whole room with the air freshener they actually keep in the room, opened the windows and made it through the night. We woke up with sore throats. The AC is our room wasn't working, so it got quite hot. We were disappointed as the place had nice reviews, just seems that everything went wrong for us.

My friends and I booked 6 nights at this hotel through Booking.com for a reasonable price. There are different ways and railway lines that can get you to the hotel from the airport although they generally will require a change of trains (eg. at Namba station).

Early check-in was not allowed, but the hotel was happy to help us keep our luggage till the check-in time. We were allocated double rooms as booked. The rooms were reasonably sized (ie. not spacious) and were typical of Japanese hotels. The bed was reasonably sized as well, with a small sofa/couch, long table, TV, etc completing the room. The bathroom was always kept clean, and taps for hot water were easy to operate (single tap for temperature of water). Toiletries, towels, hangers and slippers were provided as well. The room was always made up every morning, and you were able to press a button to indicate a preference for afternoon cleaning instead.

Breakfast was not provided. However, there is a restaurant (Yayoiken) at the first floor of the hotel, which you can go to for breakfast. In addition to the standard menu at the restaurant, the hotel reception desk also sells a special Yayoiken breakfast meal ticket for hotel guests, which was pretty cheap and worth a try. The surrounding areas had lots of convenience stores and there were some bakeries/restaurants in the subway station as well, so breakfast was never a problem. There is excellent Wi-Fi provided throughout the hotel, including in the rooms where it was fast and reliable.

The hotel is located within a 3 minute walking distance to the Kintetsu Osaka-Uehonmachi Station which is linked to the Subway Tanimachi 9-Chome Station (another 5 minutes walk away via the link). Exit 13 and 14 of the station will lead you to the hotel.

I would recommend this hotel for its good facilities and location and the reasonable price.

We stayed for five nights at a valuable price. The hotel location is good and everything you want is just around you. The small restaurant nearby are nice and you can enjoy the meal at a resonable price. We found that the hotel is just 20 mins walk distance to Kuromon Ichiba Market. It's nice to talk a walk then enjoy the fresh food in the morning.
