I bought a JR 5-day Wide Pass. This is particularly useful when you check into this hotel because Kyobashi is a JR station which has direct connection to practical to most of the tourist destinations such as Kobe, Kyoto, Nara and many more. With my 5-day pass, I need not buy additional train ticket to travel to another station to change train to connect to elsewhere. Just one ticket and it got me to Kobe, Kyoto and Nara.

The location of the hotel made it possible for me to do that - have the direct connection all of the places I chose to go.

To get to the hotel, from Kansai airport, take one direct train to Kyobashi station, exit North and the hotel is at the annexed building.

The location of the hotel is great, room is clean and the room can see on osaka castle.

The only disappointed is the receptionist of the hotel, she is RUDE!!! I will comment her as the worst hotel receptionist I had ever met in my life! (Note: I traveled to USA, Canada, England, Europe, Australia, Korea, Hong Kong, Macau, China, Thailand, etc.). Her attitude does not let me feel like in a 4 star hotel at all. She even break my thought of Japanese which is very polite. Her name is Ms. 佐藤, whose on duty during my check in at 25 July 2016 around 3-4pm.

Let me describe what we face, while we check in, a receptionist with a black face, don't even can expect any smile face with her. Okay fine, maybe some people is acting like this. While she doing the check in, we pointing to the tablet and discuss about the weather we facing in the following days. She start yelling "NO NO NO DON'T TOUCH!" Wow wow wow, we just pointing and not touching. Fine! Then, we saw the wifi password on the table, so we thinking of taking a photo for a record just in case. She yell again "NO NO NO, NO PHOTO!" Why?! Just for info. She finally finished her work and passed us the room keys. I thought "Thanks God, I can finally walk away from this rude receptionist.” But look like luck is not on my side, she start saying, “Don't lose the keys, it is VERY EXPENSIVE." Oh well, just tell me what to do for the keys, don't need to keep telling me it is VERY EXPENSIVE, this is too much and doesn't act professional. Finally, we are thinking to have some info about the train line so we can avoid peak hour. She said "NO I Don't Understand. Wow, she don't understand the word peak hour, she can pin the English pin on her uniform. Very disappointed!!!!

I have reserved two rooms there. The location is convenient, however it is also very close to red light district. Lots of prostitutes can be found at night.

Moreover, the manner of the hotel front staff is very rude. I won't recommend this hotel for family visit.

We had a great stay in Hotel Keihan Kyobashi. We were a group of three and we stayed in a room meant for four people. Because the hotel usually hosts businessmen, I suppose it explains why the space was just right for three people with individual suitcases. (Tip for those planning to book here: get a room that's worth +1 of your actual group. We had to stack our suitcases on the extra bed for them to fit when opened.) Tight spaces aside, it was not unlivable. No kitchenette or counter, but they do provide an electronic kettle with some macha green tea if you need a pick-me up. There's a small bar fridge also by the office desk, if you need to store some delicate goods. No safe, but it's not a dealbreaker. Bathrooms were clean, and all in all it was a comfortable stay. Front desk was also very helpful :)

But the best part about staying here is the location. As the name suggests, the hotel is right next to the Kyobashi station, which is along the Osaka Loop Line. This means it's the perfect place to ride both the main trains or the subways, and it can take you as far as Kyoto and Nara from the hub. I suggest buying the JR Kansai WIDE Through Pass for 5 days (9000 yen only, which is a steal considering tickets are only one-way every time you travel) because it covers most major tourist spots, Kyobashi station included. Not only is the hotel right in the hub of transportation, with only one stop before you get to the airport, (KIX -> Tennoji -> Kyobashi, and vice-versa) there are also lots of malls and shops in the area for you to do your leisurely shopping in. Osaka Station City is a must-see. Ride the Osaka Loop Line in Platform 3 (Sakuranomiya -> Temma -> Osaka Station) and be treated to the sights and sounds of a city within a city. Umeda Sky Building is also very closeby.

We were able to travel all the way to Nishiki Market from the hotel!

I'd really recommend staying here, and we hope to return when we decide to explore more of Osaka in the near future :)

We stayed here March 4-8 and got 2 rooms. We were surprised that the rooms were really small. However, it had everything you need: very comfy double bed kettle with tea only (no coffee), small ref, desk, press for clothes, humidifier, small cabinet with hangers. It was so strategic that from Kansai airport, you just buy a ticket and step into airport express train and in less than 40mins you're already in Kyobashi station. Just walk 3 mins towards exit to Keihan mall and you will find the entrance to Hotel Keihan Kyobashi on the right. We had buffet breakfast every morning and it was the best meal of the day. The choices were healthy and so many and included bread, rice, fish, meat, salad, desserts, pastries, fresh fruit juices, soup and coffee. Don't miss their buffet breakfast! It's a must! The hotel is connected to a mall and two train stations. There are also a lot of restos and convenience stores a few steps from the hotel entrance. Although not all staff speak English, you can tell that all of them are really trying their best to help you. They even gave us 5 free train tickets to Universal Studios. We will definitely stay here same time next year again.

First of all, rooms are very small, definitely not the spacious ones that the photos depict, well not the one i got anyway. No room to have the suitcase open and be able to walk. We had to make room in order for our 2 suitcases to fit.

We had a room with twin beds, the beds could have been smaller in my opinion to make more room in the room. There were a couple of unnecessary furniture inside the room i wish they would have just not bothered with to allow for more room.

Anyway, thats the negative.

The positive is the location is great. There are much shopping and eateries around but not too crowded so at night you can casually take a stroll and discover interesting shops. There is the JR line Kyobashi and the subway line. Hotel is located directly outside the station above the keihan mall. There is a daiso store on level 4 and restaurants (including endo sushi which has rave reviews) on level 5.

The hotel is old fashioned in that the key to the room is actually a physical key (not a keycard). You have to drop off the key at the front desk in the morning before you leave (however, there is nothing stopping you from just walking out with it). They only give you one key so if there are two of you and you want to go your seperate ways, one of the person has to tailgate someone else to get to the hotel room levels as you need the key to access the elevators to the hotel room levels.

The room itself is modern. There is a humidifier however, once we turned it on, our room smell of smoke. Someone must have been smoking in the room previously and they used the humidifier to clean the room. We kept it off and the smell went away. Its a non smoking room by the way!

Staff only understand simple english.

Bed is firm and room is clean. Pillow is a bit too soft for my liking. The toilet seat activates everytime you sit on it and i was so nervous that water was going to spray out onto my bottom :). I kept hitting the stop button, which seem to calm it down. Shower pressure was good and there was also a laundry line in the bathroom. Fridge provided which was great.

Air cond was a bit temperamental, sometimes didn't seem to be working although its on.

I took the osaka loop line to tenoji and took the haruka to the airport. Took about an hour and relatively painless. Remember to buy the haruka add on (if you have an ICOCA card, the haruka is an additional 1100 yen) - you cannot get this at kyobashi, but get at osaka or shin osaka. The ICOCA card you can get in the ticket office at kyobashi on the subway side of the station. There are other ways to get to the airport but upon good recommendations of fellow TAs here, this was the best way.

I found three 100 yen shops within 10mins of the hotel. There is a large supermarket (and small bakery) across the road. Many pharmacies around. Many restaurants. Its a 4 star because of the location and what is around, the fact that its not crowded like shinsaibashi is a plus. Felt safe in the area.

Booked a quadruple room for 2 nights. Very convenient as hotel is above the keihan shopping mall and connected to kyobashi station which is 3 stops from osaka station. We did a day trip to kobe which was less than 40 minutes train ride away. Rooms are decent and clean. For the price of around US$170- 180 a night I would highly recommend a short stay at this hotel. You will need to pay at least double this price for a quadruple room at the more popular areas like namba or umeda.

This hotel was really in the middle of everything!
Train station, shops, restaurants, ATM. Everything is right outside the hotel entrance!
A very good choice in Osaka.
The rooms were also a decent size, and everything was nice and clean.
We stayed on the 15th floor, and had an amazing view of Osaka.
The only problem we had was that the staff didn't speak that much English, and they didn't have much tourist info to give us.

Thank you for your staying. And thank you to showing your feeling. We are very glad to hear your voice. We can take that you enjoyed Staying at Osaka. That was very sorry the lift was very confusing. Many guests use that two lift, so that might be crowded. We are very sorry about that. And the TV , you can see the CNN program. Or if you want to see some cinema, you can buy the 1000 yen ticket to see that. Then, it was surprise!!! From your room, you could see the Osaka Castle!!! It was very lucky you found it. We hope to see you again. Thank you very much.

I would recommend to book a room with 2 beds but keep in mind that Japan hotels are generally small/cozy so don't expect a really big room.
There is a self-laundry section that you can use free of charge.
Thank you for your inquiry. From Kyobashi to KIX, it takes around 1 hour and a little. The first train from Kyobashi is at 5 am. There is few direct train to KIX in the early morning. So, you need to transfer at Tennoji station. Kyobashi → Tennoji → Kansai airport (JR line) I think that you have enough time to arrive at airport by 7:30. Best regards.
