Hotel Trad is really a good find. Although it's not at the city center but the neighborhood is very nice and fun to explore. It is located in between 2 train station- Momodani & Tsuruhashi, depends which line you take. Both are about 7min walk. Momodani station linked to a commercial complex with nice food and cafes. Tsuruhashi station is located at the so called Korean town in Osaka. Very big korean wet/food market amd also plenty of korean BBQ restaurants here. It is one of the very fun place to be.
The hotel is new and come with good space. I had a twin bed room with a good size of single beds, toilet and shower are separated. The room also comes with an electrical stove for simple cooking or water boiling. Everything are well taken care of and functioning well. Really enjoy the stay.

Location: Hotel trad is located in the middle of 2 station : Tsuruhashi and Momodani.

We read the reviews and try alighting at Momodani station, however we felt that the way was longer than expected. Once you left the station, walk out towards right side and you will see a long road towards somewhere. At the end of that road, you will be facing Hotel Trad infront of you, across the street.
If you are coming from Tsuruhashi station, use exit 4 (there is a lift) and turn left. Along the road, you will only see one 7-11 stores and go straight all the way until you saw a supermarket which the building was pinkish purple. Cross the road to the left and you will be able to see Hotel Trad along the street.
Both stations takes about 10 mins walk at least, however if you have heavy and bulky luggage, i suggest taking the Tsuruhashi route :) .

Room was REALLY big and spacious (the biggest with the price i paid for in japan)! It was really clean and awesome, and was equipped with min kitchen and a mini fridge. Toilet and bathroom are separated. They do provided toothbrush, comb, shiseido shower and hair care products. And oh not to worry, there is lift in this hotel :)

Staff will friendly and were able to converse in English. They do have simple Japanese style breakfast at an additional cost in the morning.

A nearby supermarket with eateries along the street towards Tsuruhashi station.

Overall a nice stay here with the price paid for. Even though it's a little far from town area, the easy accessibility to train stations and the big rooms are something that can be worth staying here for.

Stayed in twin room 705 for 5 nights (20-24 Apr 2017).
I like below points:
1) It is new hotel near Tsuruhashi 鶴橋駅, within 10mins walk in relax way. Use exit 4 with lift, once you are on the street level, turn left and walk straight until you see the supermarket on your right side then you will find the hotel on your left side which is opposite of this supermarket.
2) Supermarket is opened until mid night.
3) There are Korean food street near train station which is opened till late
4) Small local restaurants for breakfast near subway
5) Cheap simple Japanese breakfast cost JPY500 in hotel
6) Good wifi in room
7) Good size clean room with full kitchenette, you may ask the tools from reception if you want to cook.
8) Shower and toilet room is separated
9) Has balcony
10) Friendly reception (one lady speak Mandarin, seems from Taiwan)
11) Help to print out boarding pass, JPY20 per page
12) Provide the new towels and other bathroom amenities in a bag even no daily cleaning is requested
13) Large mirror near main door

I don't like below points:
1) Only 1 bottle of water per person for first day
2) Traditional room key, 1 key per room and need to leave in reception before leaving hotel
3) Kitchen tools need to borrow from reception
4) No curtain for shower stall so the floor will be wet after shower.

I would be remiss not to review this hotel after the wonderful service they offered me while I was staying in Osaka. The staff went out of their way to accommodate me, they sourced a bike for me to use while I was there and were more than helpful in directing me to places to see and eat. I would highly recommend a stay here. It is central to both Momodani and Tsuruhashi Train stations so transport was not an issue for me.
Thanks again

Great service and good size room in Osaka. It's near the Tsuruhashi station (JR & subway) and makes traveling extremely easy. Service and breakfast are good too!
We traveled with an infant and the size is quite good for him to walk around.
A definite recommendation!

The hotel was ten minutes walk from the station and in a nice quiet location. Occasional sirens went by but other than that it was peaceful. Beds were rock hard (reminded me of Thailand) but the rooms were super modern and very clean. Lovely big balcony but no chairs on it. Everything is operated by remote so it took some working out. Staff on reception were soooo happy and smiley and really so very helpful. They spoke good English too. Despite the hard beds I would definitely recommend the hotel.

We stayed for 9 days in a twin room and it was not worth the money paid.
First up, I must say, most the staff friendly, the location is ok, approx 500 meters+ from 2 train stations. the room was a Nice size for Japanese standards and were clean.
THE UNPLEASANT SIDE
You have a stove and sink which is totally useless, you have NO kitchen utensils, no knife, fork, spoons, plates or bowls. you have 2 mugs no small spoons. No coffee, sugar or milk is provided, only green tea and a metal kettle that you put on the stove.
Beds were very very hard and uncomfortable, we advised reception and requested a mattress topper or something to make the bed comfortable and softer, they provided us with a small blanket to lay on the mattress.not very satisfactory at all.
Only one chair in the room for 2 people
We also requested a knife and plate to just cut some fruit in our room and were told in no uncertain terms NO.
Breakfast was the exact same every morning. No variety at all and small.

Sorry for late reply. U take the airport train to Shin Imamiya station, change to Osaka Loop Line and alight at Momodari station. Walk about 10min to the hotel. Some ppl refer you to stop at Tsuruhashi station but I think os not so convenient and the place more dodgy.
