Stayed 1N. Location is a mere meters from the Hiroshima Memorial Park. Checkin at the cool rooftop bar was quick and seamless. I was assigned a standard room on a high floor. Surprisingly, the room was large by Japanese standards and came with a large bathroom equipped with tub and squat shower. The WC was in a separate closet. The bed and pillows were comfy. Good Wifi signal. Strong AC. Sadly there was no on-site onsen. The Knot Coin is a gimmick made to encourage spending. They give you 3 at checkin. The sweets / snacks cost 2 coins (they say it's cover charge to the bar and the sweets are free). Drinks start from 3 coins. Meaning, you'll have to top-up by buying 5 coins in JPY1000. Breakfast at the ground floor consisted of 2 set menus. The western egg / bacon / sausage set was very delicious. Terrible coffee.

This is a new hotel just opened in 2020. It is very convenient within walking distance of the peace park and the entertainment district. The rooms are well furnished and unlike most hotels in Japan, the bathroom and toilet are separate. The rooftop deck is a great place to relax and soak in all the adventures of the day's sightseeing.

We stayed in this cozy hotel during our visit to Hiroshima. The prime attraction i.e. the memorial park & the A dome are only 3 and 9 min walk from the hotel. Also conviniently located from all facilities and restaurants. The room was reasonable in size. I have stayed in smaller rooms than this in other hotels in Japan. So no issue. Room was clean. They change towels and trash everyday. You are provided with basic amenities such as toiletteries, shampoo, shower gel, conditioner etc. And ofcourse coffee for room. The only odd was you have to walk through a corridor beside a bistro and go to 14 floor first for checking in. 14th floor reception gives you token coin to pick up salad, savoury and desserts glass with those. That was cute gesture. We had a pleasant stay at the knot hiroshima.

Pleasant but idiosyncratic

I have to agree with a lot of the other comments. For those wanting to be close to the Peace Park and various memorials, this a handy location and gives good access via the tram network to various point of interest. But be warned this hotel has its good points and its strange ones with a real lack of process and staff training becoming frustrating.

On the good side is the location. We were also able through our travel agent to secure a larger room with space for our bags and to spread out a little for our three night stay. The room facilities worked well and the views from the room the 14th Floor bar up Heiwa Doorii were great.

On the quirky side were the check-in procedures, the weird coin system in the bar, Reception on the 14th Floor and apparently poor staff training. To the hotel’s credit they had put check-in personnel on the Ground Floor but they had no identification and didn't seem too confident. Only by watching others did we have degree of confidence of who they were.

The coin system for getting drinks is quirky and we’re not sure of the point.

We ate one night at the restaurant where they gave away our reservation even though we were only minutes late, confirmed it was our reservation they had given away and then offered us bar seats. We found an empty table and were able to use that. The wait staff while pleasant seemed confused by the process with the initial plate appearing before the drinks followed by a long gap before the next plates arrived. Compared with eating outside the hotel, it was pricey and poorly coordinated.

The confusion continued on departure when we had to go the 14th Floor to et arrange a cab which took three phone calls, and when we did get downstairs it was clear others were waiting for cabs as well.

We’re not quite sure what his hotel is trying to achieve. It seems to be asking its staff to be something they are not and then not training them to be that something. When I spoke Japanese with them, you could see the tension evaporate. This hotel was a marked contrast with every other place we stayed at where the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. They lacked confidence here.

We would stay here again but would look closely at other options.

The hotel is in a great spot, close to atom bomb site and museum. The star rating is a bit overstated. More like a three star, rooms are not serviced unless you pay extra. There is no tea or coffee in the room. They had coffee bags in reception, but they ran out and had no more. Reception is on the 14th floor, so if you need something or on arriving, you have the long lift ride up. They had the rooms on sale reduced by 75%, but what you get is the true value at the reduced price. If I had paid full price, it would have been a complete disappointment and excessively overpriced. Would not stay there again.

The knot in Hiroshima is luxurious and is a walking distance to (10 - 15 minutes walk) from Hiroshima's Peach Memorial Park and Museum.
We also took the afternoon to go to Miyajima Island (a Train Ride and a ferry trip away).
The Lobby and reception are on the top floor, with striking city views.
When we were there, they also gave us "gold coins" that could be converted to treats and drinks during happy hour.
Breakfast was optional in the hotel, but we preferred to go to the restaurant located on the ground floor, which was very busy in the morning and well worth it.

There are some positive things about this hotel. It is within easy walking distance of The Peace Memorial Museum and Park and public transport. Our room was clean and spacious with a very comfortable bed.
However, the number of negatives outweighed the positives. The breakfast was a bit bizarre - a bowl of salad leaves, a choice of an egg dish, and a large focaccia with olive oil for dipping. Juice and coffee were available on the bar but no tea. I asked about tea and someone found it in a jug hiding away behind the bar. We decided to eat elsewhere for the remainder of our stay.
There is an amenity stand near the reception desk, again no tea was available. I was told "don't have" , this was also the response when I asked about an iron and ironing board.
The use of Knot coins to buy drinks and snacks from the bar is irritating and I struggle to see what the hotel gains from this. You give them money, they give you coins, then you give them the coins back.
We didn't eat at the restaurant during our stay, as they never had any free tables.
This has the potential to be a decent hotel but the service - or lack of it - really lets it down.

Dreadful experience here. We booked through hotels.com for myself, my 12 year old daughter and 14 year old son. Upon arrival, I was told that we were booked into a double room. I asked about a second bed and they said they didn't have any and said that I had booked a double room. I said that I always out the ages of my children into the booking system, they admitted that they considered a 12 year old an adult. They showed me another room with two beds, 'large singles'100cm rather than 90cm. They even advertise a room with 3 'large' singles as sleeping 6 people. Gauri who dealt with seemed to find it funny at times and essentially said that it was my issue. I offered to buy an extra room but at half of the price that it was advertised online to split the difference, they came back with a price of 1.5 times the price online.
I ended up getting a refund and taking my business elsewhere. The Knot looks like a nice hotel but money is clearly the priority over customer satisfaction

We were in Japan fir 3 weeks and our two nights at the Knot in Hiroshima were among our favorite memories !
The staff at checkin were warm and friendly . There were people in front of us checking in and we were asked to sit down while we waited our turn . When it was our turn the agent came over to us in the waiting area and checked us in while we were seated ! Our room was not quite ready so we were brought apple juice while we waited !
The restaurant on the first floor had some of the best food we had while in Japan . The staff and servers were wonderful.
The Knot coin system was so much fun - we used coins given to us at checkin to buy drinks and treats in the lounge .
I could not bring myself to visit the historic sights here but my husband did and said it was a very short walk . He went to the museum and park twice during our two days .
The only recommendation I have is to pay more and get a higher floor with a view . Our room literally had a view of some type of maintenance building that was about 5 feet away from our window ! But despite that , this was still one of our favorite experiences in Japan !

Perfect location for Peace Museum (get there early as queues become long) Liked the concept of reception and bar on top floor. Needs better signage in the ground floor lobby. Food in MoreThan was very good. Breakfast limited but good choices. Temple gong / drum starts at about 06:00 which might annoy some. Bathroom basic. Overall we liked it.
