The room was relatively spacious, well-maintained, and well-equipped. The surrounding area was quite lively, but perhaps because we were on a high floor, we were not bothered by street noise. There were no problems with the plumbing, and the shower had sufficient water pressure and hot water temperature. We had breakfast and dinner at the rooftop restaurant, and both the food and the atmosphere were good. The only problem was that the elevators were very slow to arrive. During our stay, one of the three elevators was under maintenance, and if the timing was bad, we could wait about 15 minutes. In the bustling city of Makati, you will find this property in one of the most dense part of the city. One of the main reasons to stay here is due their roof top bar and restaurant called Firefly located on the 32nd floor where you will get a skyline view of Makati. Parking is difficult so be prepared, but if you can be dropped off, that would be ideal.
The Front Desk was very friendly and professional. Check-in took a little longer due to my breakfast questions (see below). They even brought up the flowers I had ordered in advance for my Mom. Thanks!
The top 4 floors have large 1 bedroom suites complete with a large fridge, microwave, coffee maker, plates and utensils. There is also a a large living room, table, business desk, and 1.5 bathrooms. The master bathroom is large and contains a bathtub with a good rain shower. When you select a room, try to request the same city view as the roof top bar and restaurant.
The pool is located at the 32nd floor and is beside the restaurant facing another building. There were plenty of kids swimming during the afternoon, but hardly anyone in the morning. Food at the restaurant had a good selection of American and Filipino food, and the Chicken Inasal was very tasty. Night time view at the restaurant was breathtaking and is definitely better than day time. You’ll find a lot of romantic couples during late afternoon sunsets.
You can purchase breakfast as part of your reservation, however the buffet is located at the 7th floor vs. the 32nd. The buffet was extensive with many selections of American, Chinese, and Filipino food. If you prefer the view on the 32nd floor, then do not include breakfast as part of your reservations. You can order breakfast ala cart on the 32nd floor. Unlike dinner time, getting a table with a view is not difficult because it is less busy during the morning.
Overall a great stay and experience and I would definitely stay here again if I get the chance.

I have stayed at City Garden Grand on many occasions and it is a good hotel in a fantastic central location in Makati and very close walking distance to restaurants, bars, shopping and convenience stores and money changers and laundry etc. The rooms are very nice and spacious and very comfortable beds but one thing I do not like is the shower in a bath tub in a greater majority of Deluxe rooms. In my opinion that needs to change as that is dated and dangerous. The Reception and Concierge in this hotel is extremely professional and helpful at all times ! Firstly I find it ridiculous you cannot order lunch during the day in a hot country with a recreational area. The Deluxe king room is a good size and the bed is very comfortable and is reasonably soundproofed.
It would be great if it had a shower instead of a tub shower.
The only drawback is the heavy traffic in the area. If you have to travel just outside Manila, arm yourself with a lot of patience.

The overall service was par excellence. It was my first time visiting Manila, and the City Garden Grand Hotel. The check in process was speedy, and efficient. The representatives at check in were courteous, very polite and extremely knowledgeable and helpful. From the front desk I proceeded to my room. The room far exceeded my expectations, everything was spotless, and had an ample amount of all the basic amenities, to include two toothbrushes with toothpaste,both sealed, two razors with shaving cream, four bottles of spring water, drinking glasses, kettle with two cups, saucers and teaspoons, also, numerous packets of coffee, tea, creamer and sweeteners. The breakfast hall is buffet style, and includes numerous native dishes, American and Continental, with many polite servers, who are all willing and able to cater to whatever your needs may be. There's also a roof deck bar/restaurant (infinity swimming pool is also located here) that serves all day breakfast, and too many other dishes to list. Last but by no means least, is the very pleasant and polite (always with a smile) door men who willingly assist with your luggage both on arrival and departure , and the housekeeping staff who did an excellent job in tidying my room daily.
I need to make a special mention of Charles Brown, (one of the managers) who assisted me with an earlier than planned check out, because of a business deadline that had to be met in Thailand. Thank you Charles, for your willingness in helping me to make this appointment.

Stayed here with my partner and we both enjoyed the service. The staff went out of their way to help. The breakfast, firefly roofdeck bar/restaurant, roofdeck pool, gym and spa, all added to the ambience of this hotel! Will look to book again when i'm back in Makati in 2023. It's situated next door to a shopping mall we'd both walk to (5 min walk), plus near Greenbelt Mall (Grab ride). Also was a 2 min walk to club ' Royal' where we celebrated y girlfriends birthday with 30 of our family/friends! The only one downside being my electric toothbrush disappeared after the room was cleaned/made up. When i raised this, they didn't come up with a solution, so that soured my stay a bit. Will put my toothbrush in the room safe the next time i'm there.

Definitely NOT a 5 star resort. Staff was really nice, however the rooms are small, pool is cold and the entire inside of the building feels crammed and dark. If you don’t book breakfast, they will charge $950 pesos / adult, which is outrageous for what’s on offer. You are better off going to Starbucks 100 meter away for a decent coffee.
Elevators are incredibly busy (especially around check-in and check-out) and it was “normal” to wait around 10 min for one to arrive (and then stop every few floors). I’m sure, that there are better places to stay.

Traveling to the Philippines for business or pleasure, I always stay at the City Garden Grand. Not only do you get a lot of value for your money, you also get excellent personalize service. Kudos to Charles and Rich for going above and beyond to make sure our most recent stay with my family was as comfortable as it could possibly be.
Since we were a large party, I worked with Rich and team months ahead to ensure we were on the 30th floor and were all together. We stayed in 3 adjacent rooms including my personal favorite P1, Jr. Suite. It’s my favorite because it reminds me of a villa - large living room and kitchen separated by a large master bedroom and bath. It also has the best city view!
The only issues with your stay could be a wedding party near by that could be having their wedding reception at the hotel that may be a bit loud. A faint thumping sound in the bathroom, which is probably the water pump which is common in the country. And finally, very slow elevators (since it’s always busy)!
Other than that, the Century Garden Grand continues to
be a great option for travelers. Shopping is but minutes away via Grab and includes Greenbelt, Landmark, and Rockwell shopping and restaurant district. Plenty of additional restaurants to choose from within walking distance from outside the front door. And the Firefly Roof Top restaurant located on the 32nd floor which gets very busy in the evenings due to the incredible city scape view, and delicious Philippine and American dishes.
My other family members have stayed here multiple times as well. It’s definitely my first option during my visit to the Philippines, and it won’t be my last!

Normally I wait until after I have checked out to write a review but I felt I should get this warning out there for anybody who may make the mistake of staying here. Every night I have stayed here there has been some kind of party on the roof deck. Even though I am multiple floors below the roof deck the music is so loud things are shaking in my room. Usually it is between 6 and 10 pm that I have to listen to the non stop noise but tonight (a Friday) I was told I can expect the party to last until at least 12:30 AM. There was no mention of the nightly loud parties when I booked this hotel or when I checked in. I feel sorry for the people staying on the guest floors above the floor I am on as those rooms are even more expensive and even closer to the noise. I know one thing I will never make the mistake of staying here again in the future and will warn everyone I know to avoid this place.

I Certainly didnt experience any sanitary conditions that werent of a high standard compared to anywhere else in The Philippines. The Rooftop at the City Garden Grand has a great atmosphere, great food and top service. The hotel was as good and probably the best that i stayed in - and i stayed in five during my 10 days there.
It is in a busy area of the city and the traffic is dangerous, but it adds to the atmosphere in its own way. Makati City is noisy, busy and frustratinly slow but an absolute 'must see' IMHO. If you are a single male do not expect to leave the hotel in the evening without being accosted in the first 100 metres - just sayin! For those who don't speak Tagalog or 'car-horn beep' English will get you by quite well. :)
