Brought down their marking from excellent to very good. They have been so accommodating and was so helpful when it comes to our room and request for adjacent room with our extended family. Their afternoon tea and cocktail was very good and enjoyable. We haven't use their butler service until our last day. They have been accommodating in chilling our food and we thought we can use the butler to at least pack the five different items into two hand carry items, easy to carry around, they obliged over the phone. Unfortunately, when we claimed it just before our departure, nothing has been done. We should have been told nothing has been done so we can do some last minute changes in our packaging. That wasn't easy hand carrying the extra five items on top of our hand carry luggages.
Everything about Raffles is world class from the private suites to the afternoon tea and evening cocktails ( inc in the price ) .Suites are fabulous, you have a private butler and all staff are exceptionally well trained and groomed.Pool and fitness centre are good also .Very highly recommended
This is the first time this year Im rating a hotel 5 stars. to be honest I wasnt expecting something special or grand with the hotel because it might be the same with Fairmont, well I was wrong. Upon arrival we were greeted and escorted to the check in area. Everyone was all smiles, everyone was greeting us. Our suite is located at the 9th floor, I love how its nearby the elevator, the swimming pool and Mireio. Hallway is same with Fairmont, high ceiling and very sophisticated looking. Im really surprised that the room was very clean and beautiful with a view of Greenbelt Mall, which is by the way just a stones throw away. We were told that we have a free Afternoon Tea in the lobby but we werent able to avail it cause we were mostly outside. For breakfast you have 2 options, our first morning we had it at Spectrum (buffet breakfast spread) then next morning at Mireio, I kid you not it has a very stunning view of Makati Skyline! Unfortunately we werent able to see it in the evening. We had a dip too, its nice that there were few people on the 9th floor pool. Its smaller than the joint pool of fairmont and raffles but its okay, I like it better with less people. Raffles will surely be my go to hotel when Im around Makati. We will be back! Another great staycation here at Raffles Makati! All employees from bellman, front desk , dining staff, operators….all of them are ACCOMODATING, WARM , COURTEOUS and POLITE! I can say we got the best service! The rooms are really clean , foods are really good, cozy place to stay! EVERYTHING GREAT! HIGHLY RECOMMENDABLE!
I recently stayed at Fairmont Makati with my husband and my mom for the very first time with such high expectations and they were effortlessly exceeded by the luxurious accommodation, food and service that we received. We felt like royalties from the moment we entered the hotel up until we checked out. The staff were very welcoming and hospitable. One of the names worth mentioning during our stay is Nikki, one of the bartenders at the Long Bar who was very friendly, entertaining and could not have been more accommodating. She never failed to make sure we were comfortable at our table and are happy with our orders and I highly commend her for the 5-star service. Overall, we had an amazing experience and we can't wait to come back soon!
First our of town trip after a 2 year hiatus due to the pandemic. My family and I were really looking forward to stay at one of the best in the world. Rate was a bit high but we still got it because we wanted a safe and luxurious hotel. Rooms were really spacious and nice. Amenities were sufficient. They even had complimentary vitamin C which was a very thoughtful set-up. Beds were comfortable and breakfast spread was sumptuous. Shower temperature needs to be fixed. We had engineering staff come to our room at 11PM to have it fixed. Kudos to the housekeeping staff who was able to rectify my broken shoe-thank you! Sadly,Service did not measure up to the luxurious feel of the hotel. Guards at the entrance were not friendly and it was very obvious that they gave special attention to expats who they treated with utmost courtesy and always with a respectful nod which was very different on how we were treated. Opening car doors and entrance doors were a hit or miss. Some were welcoming while most were judgmental. Frontdesk service was good but the service at writers bar need to be improved. My friend who came to visit was not allowed to come inside and was instead asked to wait at Fairmont. Why? Our driver who parked at the basement was allowed at times to ride the elevator but most of the time was asked to take the stairs. He was dressed nicely and conducted proper demeanor but was not treated as a guest. I felt bad for him. Everyone deserves to be treated fairly. Overall, the hotel had a very luxurious feel from the lobby to the rooms but the place lacked warmth and a welcoming vibe. I picked up my friend at Fairmont and the service there was waaaay much accommodating. Would I stay here again? Maybe for their nice rooms and location but would have to think twice because of the service we received.…
I have been travelling to the Philippines since 2017 for long periods of time for work and always stay at Raffles. Frequently visit The Long Bar as it becomes a second home for us. Stunning location with great outdoor seating too but what really makes it most wonderful are the staff. Always welcoming and intently look after us. Nicky and the team here make beautifully crafted cocktails to suit every palate and nothing is ever too much trouble. When here, I never feel like just a customer, more like family ♥️
From the moment we arrived, Laurence took care of us during the week. We had high tea and cocktails included in our room. The Writer Bar Team: Camille, Ceidy, Yllona, Alah and Alyssa were all incredible. They remembered what we liked and after two weeks of our stay, they gave us a little going away drink and cake. They were absolutely lovely young ladies. We will definitely come back every time for our business trips. This is hands down one of the best experiences I have had in a hotel. Thank you Raffles team!
Since coming out of the pandemic, Raffles had to bring in a whole new staff, but you would not be able to tell. The customer service provided by the employees is top tier, and this is especially true at The Long Bar. As a traveler who was alone on business, The Long Bar really became a second home. Yes the food and drinks were great, but it was the employees that made the space special. Plus there is great outdoor seating and live music. When I return to Manila, I will definitely stay at the Raffles and go to the Long Bar.
The room was beautiful. We had a one bedroom suite. The breakfast included with the room was fabulous and kept us through dinner. We also had daily high tea and cocktails included with our room. I wish I had an extra stomach to eat everything. It was the best deal for a luxury hotel. I will definitely be back!
