2021 Travellers' Choice Best of the Best
The Coffee Estate Inn is Boquete’s original mountainside inn featuring personalized attention, privacy and deluxe accommodations with delicious food and coffee. Our six acre (2 1/2 hectare) private estate allows ample privacy for all of our guests during their stay, and our attentive staff are sure to make it an escape to remember. All of our bungalows have magnificent views of the towering Baru Volcano, surrounding mountains and the Boquete valley below. Learn about coffee cultivation with us, participate in the roasting process and finally enjoy the flavor of our freshly roasted estate coffee. Nature trails wind through our lush private estate, and numerous species of exotic flowers, birds and mammals are easily viewed from the spacious deck of your private bungalow. Our goal today is the same as it has been since day one. That is to provide you with an opportunity to experience the beauty of Panama that we have the great fortune of enjoying every day. We take great pride in our Inn and great care of our guests.

This is a beautiful newer addition to Boquete. The view is amazing, the breakfast was delicious, and the Inn was very well designed. The owners pay particular attention to details and cleanliness. It is a little remote from the center of Boquete, just enough to get a peaceful stay and close enough to be in town in a few minutes.

Our stay was peaceful and relaxing in the comfortable villa, which overlooked fantastic views of Volcan Baru. The room was clean and had coffee maker, fridge, microwave and sink. Plates and knives and forks provided. Spoons were lacking but provided when asked for. Suggest a cloth for drying the dishes. The terrace was a lovely spot to eat the breakfast delivered each morning. Service was excellent. The paths and roads are steep; a good workout. The gardens are beautiful and worth wandering around. Highly recommend if you want to relax after a day of hiking. Shuttlebus is available into town and nearby attraction. We will be back!

The cabin that we had was very nice, modern, quiet & had a great view. The people were great. We especially liked having breakfast delivered to our cabin each morning. When we return to Boquete for a visit, this will definitely be where we book our stay.

After a busy few days exploring other areas of Panama, we stayed at the lovely Coffee Inn Estates. This was one of our favorite places. Lovely views, peaceful setting, welcoming & thoughtful owners and cooler temperatures compared to other Panama areas. Just love it here! Can't wait to return!

My partner and I stayed for 5 nights in a king Casita. The bed is super comfortable and warm. The balcony was beautiful and you could see breathtaking views of Volcan Barú. The location is perfection. We love that it's near town but far enough away to feel like you are really removed from everything. I only have three suggestions: 1- A place named Coffee Estate Inn should have amazing coffee, not cheap and environmentally unfriendly Duran. 2- The breakfast should not come in Styrofoam!! We were really shocked by this. Styrofoam is not sustainable and I am sure there are better containers. Also, having breakfast arrive in containers was odd, but maybe because of Covid? Unsure. 3- Use locally sourced products. For example, local good coffee, fresh orange juice and strawberries and fresh bread from Morton's would up your entire breakfast game. I think attention to little details like this are important. The kitchenette did not have salt or pepper, lacked utensils and there was no where to put wet dishes. A small kitchen towel would be a good addition to the kitchenette. Most travelers wouldn't arrive with their own salt and pepper and kitchen towels. Other than that, we had an excellent time and we will definitely return in the future! The views are truly amazing.

Hello and thank you for taking the time to leave such an extensive review. We appreciate all of your comments and would like to address a couple of them. First of all, yes we have changed our original breakfast format due to COVID which originally was served in our restaurant space up by the office and now is almost entirely delivered to each bungalow upon request. We don’t like styrofoam either but the logistics of our inn make packing normal dishes and cutlery up and down our hill extremely difficult and other affordable packaging options aren’t available to us. As for using locally sourced products, we try. We try and try to find consistent, fresh and affordable products to use in our breakfast service. The key to us is consistency and most local producers don’t have it. What is here one week is gone the next and planning around others inconsistencies is a problem we would like to minimize. As for the coffee. Duran? We have our own coffee, grown harvested and roasted on our premises. I am sorry that you had the impression that you were drinking Duran and am more sorry that you had a bad cup of coffee but our coffee is as locally sourced as you can get, and normally I and others think it is quite good. When you return we will make sure that you have a much better coffee experience than your last and thank you again for your opinion. We will continue to try our very best to make Coffee Estate Inn a sustainable operation for travelers such as yourself to enjoy well into the future. Thank you
