Detailed Reviews
We have been coming to Sun Valley for 20 years and will continue as long as we are campers. Chris and Kevin have taken excellent care of us and of their campground, treating us like family! They have watched out for our kids like their own. There are improvements every year we come making our visits the best that they can be. Sun Valley is a community driven campground that has displayed their generosity over and over again making it our favorite event of our camping season. I hear numerous stories of their friendship and kindness towards their campers. They are among the best! This is a great place for both seasonal and weekenders!

Our family has been camping here for 28 years. There is a family vibe at this campground and I can't say enough nice things about the owners, Kevin and Chris.
The grounds are just beautiful. The amenities are clean and well maintained. There are themed weekend activities that are fun for kids and adults. There are lots of trees and water on the property and it is very close to Stonybrook and Letchworth parks. Can't wait until our next visit! The Lettas

My Partner and I first visited on Memorial day weekend, and were impressed from the moment we drove in. The campsites are beautiful and perfectly maintained. Sun Valley is a dog friendly campground. We have dogs, and they enjoyed every minute. The pool is wonderful and clean and the Falls are absolutely stunning.
The owners, Chris and Kevin are welcoming and are hands on in every aspect of the campground. They bent over backwards to make sure we had a great time!! In fact, we love it here so much, we bought a seasonal sight for the rest of this season and next year! (And the sight we chose is gorgeous. They even parked our camper!!)
Thank you Sun Valley Community as well as Chris and Kevin for welcoming my partner and I to the family! We are home!

At first, we visited on weekends, such a beautiful area to walk around. The people were so welcoming. We felt at peace. No golf carts was a definite plus. So, then we were offered a beautiful location to permanently park our 5th wheel. This will be our third year of fulltime camping at Sun Valley. No campsite we have visited is perfect, but Sun Valley is really close. We truly enjoy camping here and have no plans of leaving in the foreseeable future. We have made wonderful friendships, and really enjoy the many activities provided. So give Sun Valley a try, we think you'll like it.

Check in was ok, but watch out for the owner Chris. Not a most friendly person. My wife and I stayed in a Rv while My daughter and grandkids stayed next to us in a cabin, with was pretty basic. My Campsite was all gravel with no grass to speak of. But the sewer hook up was up higher than the drain on my RV. The campsite drain was also on a slant with a high pipe sticking out of the ground. and then the bees in the campground stung my grandson 6 times before he ran away. When my daughter was telling chris(owner) about the problem she said it was the kids fault and they should not be in that area. There were no signs posted nor had anyone told us about the problem. The previous camper also had problems with the bees,

Lovely spot and falls, but not well kept at all. Younger staff members were very kind, the older ones not so much!!! I used to come here year after year but this year it was not the same. I am very disappointed with how I was treated and how I witnessed other guest being treated.

This was a beautifully kept campground. The staff were always as helpful as possible. We enjoyed many day trips from here. Full hook-ups. Verizon Wireless worked great. Didn’t have enough time to sit in the steam or use swimming pool. Both looked great. Would return without hesitation.

So i never bother to write reviews figure their just b/s. We have a large camping group and the topic came up on where to go next in the great state of NY. Ny has the best camping anyone could ask for. SUNVALLY in dannsville ny has one of the best creeks to walk. Just down the road from stony brook state park they share the same creek. Unfortunately unless you want to be a permanent camper their your treated like a transients. I used to go their as a boy and my family and i went back to relive fond memories. To my dissapointment i found that o could only book a site as far from the pool as possible "no problem i say" except you cannot park by the pool they expect you to walk (only a half mile each way). We got yelled at by the permenent campers for having glass near the pool. "Ok thats fine " untill i see a lady with a martini glass drinking by the pool and the same person who yelled at us asked to have a sip. But mabe its just me. We check in and they ask us if were going to use our air conditioner. I said yes? She said that will be $2.50 additional a night they charged our friends 5.oo because they had dual a/c units. Realy! So i relived my childhood the bathrooms were compleatly the same as they wers when i was a kid almost like zero money was put back into the facility. The arcade games are broken and i lost 5 lbs walking to the pool. But i will say the creek is amazing good thing mother nature bailed this place out.

Most people don't realize how beautiful New York state is, including the people. Far from the city, near Buffalo and Syracuse, this campground should not be missed.
The owners, Chris and Kevin go out of their way to be helpful and welcoming.
Clean, full hookups, spacious sites, nice people, this place has it all. Whether you are staying overnight, or a week, there is plenty to do and see.
They have a pavilion with stuff going on frequently, beautiful water falls, and dog friendly.
Looking forward to their opening next season.

Camp staff very stand off ish unless the are yelling at a 15 yr old boy who is small in stature threatening him they are going to take his bike cause he does not have a helmet on (NY law states individuals over 14 helmet is up to their discretion) or a 10 year old who saved his money for months and loses 3 dollars in their defective claw machine and they won't give him his money back.
I doubt we will be back. So many other places to go and spend my hard earned money that have a professional staff!!
Had to pay for showers ! Over crowded. Small sites.
Just not worth it.

Really can't believe that our staff is standoffish, we have never heard that before, we have only ever heard the opposite. We follow nys law on helmets and we always ask the kids their age before asking them to get there helmets on and do apologize if they asked him over and over again, the rec hall is play at your own risk as the signs read in the rec center, the games are not ours they are owned and maintained by an amusement vendor who is very tentative to servicing them. The showers are .25 for 7 minutes of hot water and that is so people do not drain hot water tanks. We are sorry for your weekend and do understand your aggregation.
