My ONLY COMPLAINT is hotel guests not respecting the hotel rules. Early in the morning, i was woken up by cigarette fume from the exhaust ventilation system. It was so strong and made my room stuffy. I called the hotel reception but they couldn't detect from which room the cigarette fume came from.
I'm booked this hotel though agoda.
We arrived early around 12.15 PM & straight away check in at the counter.
The receptionist really nice to us. She mentioned, we arrived early. But it is okay, because the room is ready and she give the rooms card & show nicely the location of the elevator.
The room are small, clean, neat & conformable.
The shower are small & clean.
The room wall are not sound proof so you will be able to hear your neighbor talking or people walking & talking in front of you room. (During my stay, I just hear it once).
Breakfast, we do get the breakfast voucher, but we not go for it. We go to downtown for breakfast.
I do read lots of negative review about this hotel. But during my stay, luckily I haven't experience it. Maybe because I just stay for room.
Will I recommend this hotel to anyone? My answer will be Yes, if you out of options & you need room for sleep and shower.
Will I be back to stay at this hotel? My answer will be Yes, but it will be my last option.
If the management don't work on improving these problems (they are not ready for full capacity) I think in years they would be running out of business.

LOCATION:
Nearest hotel to UIA Kuantan (International Islamic University Malaysia), Kuantan Medical Centre, sports complex and a few government agencies offices.
It's in Indera Mahkota area, approximately 7km from Kuantan town.
ROOMS:
* Superior and Deluxe room are the standard room with queen sized bed. The room rather small, but comfortable enough.
* Japanese room is much bigger. Slightly different than other decor; with a Japanese table in the middle of the room (may use as laptop table)
* Family room with extra bed (for those who travel with kids)
* Suites have a huge sofa and a working desk (as in the pictures I shared). The only room with a bath tub. Bed size - queen.
Pros:
+ It provides basic amenities (tea making facility, safe box in the room, comfortable bed and clean bathroom).
+ You can walk to several restaurant/cafes nearby. Particularly, Nasi Kukus Mama beside the hotel provides tasty, reasonable-priced lunch.
+ TMG Express supermarket, 7-eleven, printing shop and barber shop also within walking distance.
+ Ample parking spaces, including basement parking.
Cons:
- Room cleanliness becomes inconsistent these days.
- Ventilation system must be poor. Coz I can smell a distinct stale smell in the room. My sensitive nose can also smell a hint of cigarette smoke from somewhere. I had to buy Febreeze / air freshener to make my stay better.
- Free breakfast selection was very limited and food quality was average . (Local fried rice and noodles, nuggets/sausages, porridge, thin slices of white bread + jams, 1-2 types of fruits, cereal, coffee and tea) Egg counter sometimes unmanned, you have to wait for him. Just enough for quick breakfast before you head out from the hotel.
- Free wifi, but not reliable.
- No 'Do not disturb' sign at the door.
- Iron and iron board are provided at the end of room corridors. So you have to iron your clothes outside, unless you bring your own.
- No mini fridge, no wardrobe (just hanging rod provided) - Similar to other budget hotels.
- No room service provided. You're even reminded not to bring food into your room.
Note: Pictures I share are from their Suites room type. (Deluxe/Superior rooms are more basic, and much smaller).
"It's mainly a business hotel but you can ask for a family suite which has a queen bed and a single bed."Read full review
