On a 6 day five night motorbike round trip from KL to the East Coast and back we stayed two night at Lembing Riverview Resort and it was the best of the accommodation we had on our trip. On arrival we were greeted by Mrs Hoh the owner who was ever so helpful to get us sorted out with refreshments and local knowledge. The room while not big was clean and tidy and the bed comfortable and the air con cool and quiet and there was a fridge to share amongst 4 room outside. It may be a bit grand to call it a resort, but there are facilities like badminton and volleyball courts and space between the 4 room chalets. The facility is obviously quite a few year old but well maintained and landscaped. We were there shortly after interstate travel was allowed again after the Covid 19 lockdown and we only have one other set of quest staying, but I can imagine if all the rooms are rented out it will not be quite the same piece and quite we enjoyed.

We went as a family to have a small getaway to get away from all the tiredness of the covid pandemic. When we reached there we were very pleased to see that the place is exactly as the website stated . Highly recommend this resort as it is very clean and family oriented and plus it's kids friendly. There's a small river that the children can enjoy playing water . The owner Mr.Ho and his wife are so kind and generous and very helpful. They even have BBQ dinner that you can order. They tried their best to meet our needs in every way. Had a good holiday there. Will definitely stay there again

This is the newest and most comfortable resort in Sungai Lembing town, found at once the largest tin mine site in the world. The well known Bukit (Hill) Panorama is a short drive away. It has a serene and clean environment and you get to enjoy friendly and helpful services and guidance from the operator about the places of attraction and location on good food. The setback would be the lack of TV and Internet services in our hut, though they have such common entertainment facilities at the reception area. You can also make use of their kitchen to prepare your food, refill water and borrow utensils. The Operator even helped me to buy the local famous BBQ pork. It was wonderful. The air-conditioned room has a simple layout. It would be more ideal to have at least a small writing table with some chairs. Overall, a good stopover if you plan to climb Bukit Panorama in the early morning. Other places of interest include Tin Mine Museum, Rainbow Waterfall and Crystal House. The Sungai Pandan waterfall and Gua Charas (Sleeping Buddha found in a cave) are within short driving distance. I have given it an excellent rating because of its hospitality and serene environment, which I humbly felt that it is still the best among other resorts/chalets in Sungai Lembing for now.

From KL to Lembing, it took us about 4.5 hours as we stopped along the way to savour authentic kampung durians. Mr. Hoh, the owner of Lembing Riverview Resort, welcomed us warmly when we arrived at almost 3 p.m. in the afternoon of a Sunday. The resort was full house on Friday and Saturday, but all had left except a couple from Penang and both of us for the night. The resort ground is very spacious and is right by the Lembing river. We were given a room in one of the huts. It was a basic clean room that comes with a double bed, a table, a stool and a place for hanging clothes. Mr. Hoh was very helpful and patient in explaining to us about Lembing town, where to have good eats, where to take a nice walk, and the details of our next two morning excursions to Rainbow falls and Panorama Hill. The resort is a mere 20-minute walk away from the town proper. We tasted the famous Lembing noodles, the Yun-Yong(coffee + tea) drink, the delicious Yong Tau Foo at the hawker centre for breakfasts and the Lembing Tomato noodles at the same hawker centre in the evenings. The highlights of this trip were of course the very popular Rainbow falls and the Panorama Hill. We visited the falls on a Monday morning with our friendly and humourous guide, Mr. Yap. Mr. Yap said that there were over 200 people the day before. We couldn't believe how lucky we were as the three of us sat by the waterfall and enjoyed the serenity of the place and waited with a cup of hot milo and hot noodles in our hands for the rainbow to show its full glory. We were totally smitten by the magical rainbows of the waterfall. On the following morning, we made our own way to the Panorama Hill. In our minds, we were not expecting much of a sea of clouds from this 260 meters high hill. And, we were so wrong. The cloud formations at Panorama Hill were truly breathtaking and now we knew how it had earned its fame. We bought some very nice kampung durians from an elderly couple at Lembing before we left(their house is at the entrance way to the town of Sungei Lembing. It has a very simple wooden shed as a makeshift fruit stall infront of the house). The experience at Sungei Lembing, the people of Lembing and the stay at Lembing Riverview Resort were all so unforgettable. We will definitely be back.

There were 7 of us and it was approx 3 hours drive from KL to Sg Lembing. Resort is one of it's kind in the area w attached bathrooms. Very clean and is family run with very good hospitality. Owner will provide tips on where to visit, where to eat and even provide a simple map of Sg Lembing! They offer to hook you up w half day tours to Rainbow Waterfall at MYR40 per pax. Tour is a "must do" for those relatively fit with an hour drive via 4WD/truck and approx 40 min hike. First thing when u arrive at the start of walk is to cross a river with water depth of anywhere between 1 foot to almost 5 ft depending on season. Trek is normally closed during monsoon peak from Dec to Feb. The other "must do" is walk up the Panorama Hill but be forewarned... Climb is steep at abt 60 to 70 degrees gradient, takes abt 45 min one way at M'sian walking speed and is tougher than Rainbow Waterfall! Try to stay min 2 nights to do the 2 tours. Resort sells cheap "Malaysian Adidas" at MYR10 which is full rubber shoes n good for M'sian jungle which is very wet and damp. Not much food provided at resort for breakfast n lunch hence bring along some food or go to town. Dinner can be arranged, either BBQ or steamboat. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay and the sightseeing which comes w exercise!

Yes, indeed a wonderful place to escape from the city bustling for the weekend. Sg Lembing is a small quaint town. I found this resort from reviews of others put up in this forum and must agree it is the best in town. Only set back is the access road to the resort. You have to drive thro a wooden bridge which is pretty low and a cemetary. But once you reach the resort, you'll see the nice setting. The price of the rooms are reasonable and the owner allows you to cook, if you want to. The owner arranged to take us to the rainbow waterfall which is the latest attraction in town besides the sunrise view above the town. One thing commendable about was, we found this owner very responsible. The day before leaving for the waterfall, there was a thunderstorm and the river level rose. Owner advised to differ the trip in view of the danger of crossing a river in order to reach the waterfall. Of course, there is a price for the excursion. RM40 per person for a jeep ride and guide to take us there. The rainbow at the waterfall was beautiful. But the trip up to the waterfall is quite taxing. Enjoyable for youngsters.

The locality is very beautiful. The accommodation is currently in newly-built stilt houses or rooms in the recently refurbished main building or already erected tents on wooden platforms (high enough to withstand floods). The owner is going to build two or three more houses which I don't think will spoil the resort. Our room in a stilt house was modern, comfy and clean, with a/c and fan, and with a wet room shower and WC. There are benches outside, next to the barbecue, and freshly planted trees and shrubs, and it'll look even nicer in a year. If there are enough visitors, the owner will organise dinner on-site, e.g. a barbecue or a steamboat -- we had an excellent one of the latter. The night midweek when we were the only residents, the owner's uncle kindly led us into the town to his favourite Chinese canteen where we ate very well. The owner, his family and staff were simply so hospitable, friendly, efficient and helpful that our stay here was one of the highlights of our visit to Malaysia.

The 16 of us stayed here last weekend. The resort is basic and clean. Furthermore, it was not crowded and noisy unlike some other resorts. My sons had fun playing table-tennis with the other guests. We were supposed to have a BBQ dinner but due to the rain, it was cancelled. Nevertheless, we still had a good dinner. The dinner was good!

Sungai Lembing is a small town and hence the only requirement that I have for accommodation is clean. Lembing Riverview resort meet this basic requirement :) The rooms are spacious and clean. I booked a quad room and a triple room for our 2D1N trip at Sungai Lembing during Malaysia long weekend. Sungai Lembing was very crowded at that time. We arrived at the resort around 6pm and the resort was full of activities. The owner is friendly and provided necessary information about the place while we were checking in. He even helped us to order the famous roasted pork and delivered to the resort for us. Our rooms were at the house furthest from the main building and hence there were no wifi in the room but you can always go to the main area for the free wifi. Car park is free too. However, the other facilities (karaoke, BBQ pit, bicycle etc) are charged at high price. Much higher than the price that we could get even at Penang.
