The feel of a proper 4 star hotel room, with very decent smell, the room was highly satisfactory for a solo trip on business.
Con. (1) Makan (meal) a bit susah (difficult). But having said that, the closest kopitiam hardly 2 kms away, Kemaman Kopitiam. (2) suburb
Pros. (1) Nice room. (2) Easy to get in and out - Parking is like at your own house (except you have to be a bit patient if there's another car in the way).

Also, this hotel is surrounded by on-going construction projects, both left and right. In the morning, the hammering and drilling can be quite annoying especially if you plan to sleep a bit later.
We could not find any fridge, therefore we ended up drinking warm beer. It would be great if there is a small pantry with water dispenser and refrigerator.

Stairs to the loft quite steep and might be challenging those with toddler. It would be better if mini fridge and breakfast also provided. Overall, this is far better than 3 star hotels and the best short stay place in Kuantan thus far.

The disappointment: Arrived on a Friday afternoon at 12 noon, thinking that perhaps can check in early or at least by 1pm as per normal hotel check in time but no one was there. The guy who handles check in told a friend who managed to cajoled him to let my friend checked in earlier (with caution by the guy that he would get in trouble with his boss for allowing a guest to check in earlier than the 2pm check in time). We waited outside the bungalow (it is a bungalow by the roadside turned into a hotel) and a little after 2pm, someone turned up to let us in. I thought since the hotel is very strict about check in time, we would be allowed in by 2pm sharp.
Anyhoo, check out time is 11am
No fridge at all, not even a common one. I guess it would be hard to keep track what guests keep in the fridge ie non-halal stuff co-mingling with halal stuff which would be an issue for a Muslim.
The bathroom gave out a slight pong - like clogged pipes or clogged toilet. Mentioned it to the owner, his advice was to keep the door of the toilet opened to the outside (it has two doors; one to be opened from inside the room like a normal hotel room, and another sliding doors that opened to outside). I told him 1. I don't to allow mosquitoes to enter my room through the open doors 2. We were in a residential area with constructions going on on both sides of the bungalow. The new constructions were two-storey high which meant there was a possibility that the workers (maybe they won't but I won't take the risk) can see from the second floor that the sliding doors on my ground floor room are opened and may decide to see what's inside. So, thanks but no thanks. So the linger of the pong stays. It was a good looking bathroom, no doubt.
Anyhoo, the pool due to to its location which is right next to the main road (there is a wall but it does not cover the whole pool) is suitable for kids only in my opinion.
The private garden mentioned may meet other's expectation. Mine was a small area the size of a long yoga mat, covered with fake grass. It does have a beautiful fragipani tree which when lighted at night looks nice.
Anyway, to each their own. Me? I won't be going for a second.
