This hotel is absolutely amazing! Everything from the service to the location and the cleanliness too! The staff are absolutely brilliant and cannot do enough for you. I am solo travelling and they made me feel so at home. Special shout out to Danial, Nora and Stephanie who made me feel extra special during my stay. The beach is a one min walk and it’s right in the centre of Pantai Cenang so it’s a PERFECT location! The cleanliness of the room is top notch and the breakfast selection was fantastic with a good range of both English and Malaysian foods, with fresh eggs made to order every morning by the chef. It’s by far the best hotel in the area! You really do get what you pay for and in this case it is excellence!! Can I also just say that the Wifi was amazing which definitely makes a difference when solo travelling as I always felt connected to home. And the water pressure of the shower was the best I’ve had in the whole of SE Asia whilst travelling! Will definitely be staying again! Top Tip - Make sure you go to see the Skycab/Skybridge and also do the Mangrove tour! Two really good days out!

The Mercure Hotel Langkaw is an absolutely great place to stay, From checking in to checking out the service was amazing . The hotel is only two years old and the rooms are modern and very clean with huge comfortable beds and great bathrooms with the best power and rain shower combination I have known. Rooms had a kettle along with tea and coffee, also a pod coffee machine with pods cups mugs glassware mini fridge hair drier iron and ironing board room safe Huge TV with many channels and a host of free toiletries, decor and furnishings are modern and fresh Laundry service and room service is also available, The huge pool and surrounding area are cleaned early morning each day and it is a great place to relax swim and enjoy a drink or some food or a snack served by the friendly staff like Ali who made me so welcome . The staff in the hotel are top class very helpful and so friendly nothing is to much trouble for them I must thank especially Nora and Jehah from the front office for all the help and kindness they showed to me they really made my stay feel perfect , The breakfast served buffet style in the third floor restaurant has a very good selection of international food and the staff are amazing,lunch and dinner are also available in this restaurant I must also mention Murni who was so helpful. Friday and Saturday evening the hotel has a barbecue and buffet on the patio near the pool and they have a great resident band who play and sing music to suit all. The beach and shops / restaurants are around a three four minute walk away. This is my second visit and I will certainly be going back again to the Mercure Hotel its like a home from home place to stay .

On the first day I had an awful experience from staff member called 'Path' and his manager (forgot her name). The first morning I went for breakfast buffet with my daughter and gave my room number at the front of restaurant as I had breakfast included. Then whilst I was eating, Path approached me and asked me what my room number is, so I explained that I had already given this at the front and asked him why I was being asked again. He said he saw me 'wandering about' last night and wanted to check, but last night I was drinking at the bar, so this didn't add up. I then complained to the manager about this and she was unapologetic about this and said, 'he's leaving in a few days, so don't worry'. No apology or anything. On the other hand I had excellent service from Arvind and Anane, they made sure I had an excellent service and always had a smile on their face. Apart from the initial poor expereince, the hotel is excellent with great facilities and very clean. You even get fresh drinking water provided in your room and cleaning staff were also efficient and friendly. I hope Path and his manager and trained on proper customer service to match with the quality of the hotel.

In late May '24, I decided on a week long family vacation with the first stop being Langkawi Island. Upon several recommendations I decided on the Mercure Langkawi for a 4 days 3 nights stay.
Checkin registration process was straightforward and hassle-free. Since I drove my SUV in from mainland, there was ample parking space provided.
I was very impressed with the rooms. The cleanliness and attention to detail was immaculate, the mini bar stocked and the bathroom very clean. (dont even get me started with the water pressure, so satisfyingly strong that it's hard to stop showering once you start). The room airconditioning made our family returns after touring the island a very welcome feeling, almost like coming back to a home away from home. Toiletries and towels were pristine and premium feeling, and I expected nothing less from a 4-star hotel.
Its location within walking distance of Cenang Walk is very strategic and eased the family's evening activities, either shopping for duty free item, dinners or casual walk to view the fire show at Cenang Beach.
The hotel staff were very attentive and prompt to my family's needs.
The kids thoroughly enjoyed the large swimming pool and Kids Room amenities, which they thoroughly utilised whilst the adults enjoyed our complimentary welcome drinks from the pool bar.
The buffet breakfast spread was acceptable. I made it a point to try out their Lobster Nasi Lemak. Wish there were more cheese choices though :)
I will be back for a repeat stay here next year , with much anticipation.

We were so pleased with this hotel, the bedroom was large as was the bathroom. the staff were pleasant, resprectful and helpful. Just a short walk, 2 minutes to the beach. We had a lovely time there. Breakfast included western as well as Asian foods and eggs cooked to order. Evening meals were reasonable in prices 35 MR. Though we also enjoyed going down to the beach for dinner in one of the restaurants were we paid the same price for an interesting and more Asian meal that was very good. We had a taxi to take us for a 4 hour trip around the island 120 MR. We also had a trip to the Sky Walk which was fun and even possible for those, like me that have difficulty walking. I wish to lodge a complaint about our stay in Mecure Langkawi Pantai Cenang. The service level provided by the hotel staff was too astoundingly great, that it totally changes my view of what a home away from home feels like, that I am complaining that I might never get to feel this way from any other hotel stays in future, given that the standards by your staff are set so high!
Our whole group of 21 pax came to Langkawi over the weekend to participate in a cycling competition. As it was our first experience in LGK and Mecure was a perfect location to be staying at, given the great proximity to malls, food, amenities and also right next to our event venue, I approach the sales office of Mecure Langkawi to enquire. Lay Jianzhe, the sales person that attended to me was incredibly helpful in every ways, and the rest are history. From bookings to allocation of rooms, to upgrading our rooms, to seamless arrangements in checking in/checking out, packing of breakfast for everyone knowing that we will start the race early, opening the hotel side gate for us to have easy access to the event venue so we do not need to travel far, to late checkout for some of the rooms, facilitating and looking after every small details, to flying in and meeting us directly at the hotel, what more can we ask for?
I am a sales representative by profession, and the fact that I am willing to praise another for the impeccable service clearly shows his dedication, commitment and passion to make the guests feel welcome in every aspects. Hats off to him and I really hope your management can confer our appreciation and recognition to him for the efforts, which is the least we can do for taking great care of us during our stay! It isn't easy to manage a big group, but he definitely live up to the task!
For the staffs - from the waitresses, to the barista at the bar counter, the front desk, the concierge, to the room cleaners, clearly left a deep impression on our team. Their helpfulness, their smiles, their efforts in going all out to ensuring everyone of us feel comfortable, enjoyable and relaxing really left a memorable stay etched in our mind.
Many of us are looking forward to come back to Langkawi for holidays and all have expressed our interest to book our stay with Mecure Langkawi Pantai Cenang all over again. Not because there are no other hotels around, but because of the exemplary service provided, the accessibility of the hotel and the deep impression left by your staff are second to none!
As for the other details of the amenities, the rooms, the facilities etc, I guess nothing more need to be said as the reviews from other guests as well as their post have more than sufficiently describe everything! Pictures speak a thousand words!

Strategic location - near the beach but yet away from the noise generated from the hustle and bustle of the night events/activities at Cenang area.
Attentive staff, pleasant demeanour. Treat guests like friends/family who caters to your basic needs.
New hotel (as at Dec 2022) so some parts of the hotel look like they are work-in-progress e.g. the driveway leading to the hotel and the balcony at the rooms. Deluxe suite rooms, located at the topmost floor get an excellent view of Cenang Beach. Marvelous sunset views!
Breakfast was good, but can be better, in my view. Daily change in menu will be a welcome change. Great tasting local fares!
Definitely would come back for seconds!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mercure Hotel! We were first welcomed with drinks of our choice (a whole menu to choose from) and were greeted by friendly staff. Facilities + amenities were new as they just opened a few months ago. Drinks at the bar were very cheap! We mostly drank at the bar instead of opting to go out since it was already at such a good price. Location is also at the center of Pantai Cenang - very convenient especially for those who did not rent a car. Would definitely recommend!

Staying at the hotel Mercure Langkawi has been a series of hazardous incidents, highlighting the clear failure of the hotel to meet safety standards. The first night posed a significant danger as a power outage occurred when we turned on a lamp, leading to an electrical short circuit next to my child. The second night the hotel's attempt to relocate us for one night due to non-functional air conditioning and the same night was midnight loudly drilling, causing further disturbance.
Moreover, the overall condition of the hotel is alarming – everything seems to be on the verge of falling apart. From a balcony hairdryer to various amenities, it's evident that the maintenance is lacking, putting guests' safety at risk. Even the replacement of a malfunctioning fire alarm by an external technician during our short three-day stay raises serious concerns about the overall state of the hotel.
Despite multiple complaints, the response from the staff, notably Nora, has been inadequate, leaving us genuinely worried about the safety and quality of our remaining time here. The hotel's failure to address these issues promptly and effectively is unacceptable, and it casts a shadow over the entire stay.
