Stayed at the Iroquois Cabin a weekend in July with my family of 4. The cabin was great with air conditioner, shower in bathroom ( a few carpenter ants seen) sink, stove, fridge, love seat , bunk beds and loft with a double upstairs and nice double downstairs. We did bring a little egg carton sponge pad which came in handy for the bed. Recommend bringing over door hangers. Hot upstairs in loft but a great setting, private and loved the swimming in the pond by the entrance! Fishing was offered in the back of the campgrounds. Firewood offered for $25, good amount. Great walking, sleeping nice. Fridge a bit noisy but a super nice stay as we visited Letchwork State Park. Made for a perfect day. Would also be great in the fall months!

The campground and surrounding area are beautiful. The owners were very nice and the sites are spacious. I do not recommend reserving site 11A if your camper is longer than 30'. There is a tree close to the road and a ditch on the far side that make it difficult to back in. The owner let us stay in 11B since our 38' 5th wheel didn't work in 11A and offered free honey wagon service. The turn into the campground and the interior road turn were tight but manageable . The restrooms were clean but do need a little work. The campground was quiet during the week but people (weekenders and seasonal campers) were noisy on the weekends well past midnight. With a smaller camper, we would stay here again.

The forest that it is nestled in is incredible. The owners were very friendly, helpful and loving. The cabins and setting is surreal. We were just a short enjoyable countryside drive to quaint small towns and Lake Bradford. Everything seemed natural and private. Highly recommend this place.

I recently returned to Evergreen trails to camp for a weekend after having not been since Mary was the owner. To say I was disappointed is a true understatement. I knew that there were new owners but I figured, what could change? Well, pretty much everything. From the minute we arrived the “vibe” was different. As we pulled in the driveway the owner’s home is the first thing you see. It looks run down and unkept. My husband went to check us in. There was a man sitting on the porch, who we later found out was the owner, told my husband he shouldn’t have just “parked in the road.” There are no designated parking spots for check in so we had pulled off to the side near the store. As we drove to our cabin and I observed the overall care of the grounds I had a terrible feeling of what was to come. We arrived at our cabin which was absolutely adorable from the outside. However, once we entered it was obvious that it had not been cleaned in some time. I truly just wanted to get settled and have a fire so in the morning we could explore with the kids. I cleaned up the mouse droppings and we settled down for a fire. The next morning we took the kids for a walk to explore “all the features” that I had recalled from when Mary owned the place and were still listed on the website. We first approached the pond. I’m not sure I can find words to describe the condition of the pond. Disgusting is simply an understatement. It was impossible to fish in due to all the overgrowth. I was astonished to see that a parent was letting their child swim in it. The kids were actually pulling out some of the overgrowth as they tried to swim. It was very disturbing. So, we pulled up our big kid shorts up and headed to the arcade. I’m not sure what they believe an arcade is but this wasn’t it. There was not a video game to be had. There was a kind of riding horse in the corner but how long can kids entertain themselves with that. Another blow to what used to be an amazing place. Trying to cheer the kids up we headed to the playground. We walked passed a new area of “P” cabins. I was shocked to see one with a tarp on the roof assumingly covering a leak when the owner was again sitting on the porch. I couldn’t believe my eyes when we approached the playground. It was run down and unkept. I did let the kids climb on it and within 5 minutes one had a sliver. That was the end of that. So now here we are a family of four with the only thing left to do would be to hike. This is not a family friendly camp ground. This is not a friendly campground at all. I was sad and disappointed as I had told my kids how great this place was and we come here and it’s the complete opposite. We left Saturday afternoon because we just couldn’t take anymore.

hum, we don't even know where to start with this one. although we are sad that you were disappointed we find it odd how many times you mention Mary. we did not buy this from her, there was another owner in between, Mary herself would not return here due to the neglect of managers that ran it. she has been back and loved that this place is cared about again. Mary's step son has become a regular. the tarp on the cabin, funny thing about leaky roofs, you don't know they leak until it rains. the tarp was a temporary fix. people were staying in the cabin at the time and it was a full house, they had no problem with the tarp (which we have since put a new roof on). the cabin comment about it not being cleaned in a while, well that's simply not true. mouse droppings?? do you not know there are mice in over 200 wooded acres?? a man on the porch asking you to not park in the road?? do you really need to be told to not park in the middle of the road, have you no respect for other campers?? there is a parking area between the house and the store that other campers have no problem finding. the playground is not neglected but it is made of wood which can cause a splinter just as a boardwalk on the beach. ponds grow weeds, it happens and we have tried everything the DEC has told us to do, we are in the process of getting a permit to help with that, it take several months to come through. all in all we are not a resort, people come here to take their kids hiking and fishing and exploring and using their imagination , connecting with each other and nature, they do not look to us to provide entertainment they let the beautiful surroundings do that. we know this style camping is not for everyone but if you are the person looking to connect with your family and get away from the stresses life can bring then this is the perfect place for you.

We stayed here and hosted a wedding here. The campground is beautiful but the new owners are HORRIBLE, unless you are opening your wallet for everything do not expect a good attitude. The owners were so very rude and crude. Very sad.

This campground has new ownership from NYC area. They have brought their NYC attitude. Do not expect the warm western NY hospitality! They will not treat you as a guest. You are a $ sign to them and if you are not opening your wallet to them they want nothing to do with you. They will over charge you for firewood that is green and will not burn. Do not waste your time and money on evergreen trails.

Stumbled upon this Gem while looking for a place close to my Daughter that goes to Alfred College. Beautiful Setting on 200 plus acres mostly all in a wooded pine forest. We have camped many years and know a great place within 5 minutes. This is one of them. Wonderful Cabins of all levels spread out so you barely know anyone is around. Beautiful Ponds, Trails, and a Creek with Fossils! We had an RV site where we were very graciously welcomed and escorted to our site by the owner. I also noticed that he kept careful watch over a group of tenters that were not respectful of bathrooms or other campers. While we were there the Amish came with fresh baked goods (delicious maple glazed donuts), Ceramics was offered, a great fun evening of Kereoke also!! ALL RV Sites updated with new electric. Very Spread out. Lots of privacy. State Park type of "look and feel" Nice rec room, Outdoor Ping Pong,Laundry Facilities, Fishing Pond, Miles and Miles of marked trails and very very nice bathrooms! We booked 4 additional weekends. This is not meant to be a big noisey campground!. We had a rainy weekend but were never bored. This is a place to reconnect with your kids and enjoy all the wonders of nature. My husband and 2 teenage daughters played like kids in the Creek!!! Splashing, making small rock dams and fossil hunting. We ventured into the Town of Angelica that was rich with beautiful historic buildings, Churches and antique shops. Don't miss the Irish Pub at the Golf Course in town! ($18.00 for 18 holes of Good Golf) and DELICIOUS Authentic Irish Food!!!!, also don't miss Black Eyed Susans for lunch, or the Sweet Shop. All recommended!!! Thank You to the owners that are working to improve all the time (he showed us the updates to the electric, Stone work and ponds). The also have a brand new Jayco RV for rent! The site comes with a Kayak! The permanent campsites were all very neat and well kept. No swimming pool (thus no noisy kids either) but when was the last time you had the opportunity to splah in fresh cold running water and build dams and then sit in the pooled water? Cannot wait to go back!! Walmart and Wegmans are 20 minutes away if you need to stock up. Close to Route 17/86!

I have been camping here for many years and the family loved this place but over the past few years place has gone down hill. The roads are just pot holes and mud, the sites are not being maintained, and what use to be clean bath houses are now spider filled, and falling apart. There are NO activites anymore and what use to be a fun place is now just a place to go if you want to sit around. Make me very sad to see such a beautiful place become just another dirty camp where all that is left is the people who have been there since the place first opened.

We’ve been spending long weekends at Evergreen Trails for the past few years now, and it is our favorite campground to visit. It is a very pretty campground, and we love the cozy cabins, that come in quite a few different layouts. Joe and Sue are terrific hosts, and they are always helpful with suggestions on things to do, or nearby places to see. To add to the fun, they have a plethora of events planned throughout the year for campers.

My wife and I decided to get married here this past September, and it was everything we dreamed it to be. Joe and Sue (the owners) went well out of their way to accommodate us, and all of our wishes (too many to list). There are multiple spots within the campground that are a perfect setting for a ceremony. We used the pavilion for the reception, which has a stage that could be used for a band or DJ. There was the perfect amount of space on the side of the pavilion to set up a bunch of yard games for cocktail hour(s). Joe was even generous enough to cart the wedding party and guests from the ceremony to the reception with a hayride!

We heard nothing but positive feedback from the guests at our wedding that spent the night in cabins. They all loved the beautiful setting at Evergreen Trails campground, and the cabins they stayed in. You won’t know until you visit, how great of a place this is, if you are looking for a great, peaceful getaway in the woods.

We should have trusted the previous bad reviews.Sure..at first the owners seem nice and accommodating to get your money, then show up to say seasonals are complaining about some stupid thing that others around you are doing 10 times worse!! like playing your music ( not loud at all) at 10 minutes after 10 pm and if you have dogs and they bark because the seasonals love to antagonize them (they know how to smooze the owners) then you are confronted with complaints and told you can stay as long as you confine yourself and your dogs in your camper! FUN!! NOT!!.We left without even asking for a refund because we knew from previous reviews it would be a moot point..they must need the money more then we do!! SAD excuses for camp owners!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!
