This is one of the hotels you will be send to for the mandatory COVID19 quarantine. We needed to stay here for three nights. Our room on the 11floor (R21105). We came from Vietnam and they treated us really nice, they make us feel comfortable like a home. This hotel is very close to NRT Airport. In typical Japanese fashion, twin room is tiny, but there is everything you would possibly need. Friendly, helpful staff and quickly check-in. When We needed their help, they appeared immediately.
Everyday we had 3 meals included rice, fish, miso soup, noodles, sausages, etc. Generally a very traditional Japanese meals. Really delicious and soon! Since the room is small there is a sign that says you can put your luggage under the beds. Overall, great place to stay.

The good:
Free shuttle is prompt. Front desk is courteous and speaks English.
Hotel is clean, room is spacious strange bathroom setup, only Japanese TV channels
Lobby store sells all you need to drink and eat and then some
The bad:
The breakfast is horrible. Needs at least two fruit drink choices, A non Japanese egg choice, and a sausage or other meat choice.

This is one of the hotels you will be send to for the mandatory COVID quarantine. We needed to stay here for three nights. Our room on the ninth floor was quite large (around 30 sqm), had two double beds a small couch and table, a small fridge and dedicated AC unit (so not centrally controlled AC). Rooms are a bit noisy, both from inside the hotel (bad insulation) as well as from outside (single glazed windows). Beds are hard and not so comfortable. Bathroom is a really small prefab unit. But being locked up for 3 days it felt really good we had some space. That was the positive thing about this place.
Under normal circumstances I would probably opt for another hotel near Narita Airport.

Stayed here 3 days due to mandatory covid quarantine for people coming from overseas, therefore, my experience is completely connected to very special circumstances.

Having said that, room given for us (couple of 2) in the non smoking section, floor 10th was quite spacious for Japanese hotel standards. 2 double beds, ok furniture, some items a lil bit showa style but overall quite an ok option.

as you are next to airport, despite windows being closed, you do hear engines, etc.

if you have to fly early from narita, i think this could be a great option with a shuttle.

Spent a night here before proceeding to Fujinomiya to attend our training. Rooms were clean and bugger than expected. Lawson on tje 1st floor was the hub bub of activity as the next convenience store was 7-11 which was a 10 minute walk away. Buffet Breakfast served had a decent spread.

We had missed our connecting flight to the US when we arrived into Narita and found ourselves the last flight in. Unfortunately, the next flight out for us was not departing until the next evening. However, our airline was kind enough to arrange for accommodations at the Toyoko Inn Narita for that night.

In short, the Toyoko Inn was very much a transit hotel. The hotel was spartan, dated and due for a renovation, but we found the rooms to be clean and very large compared to most rooms in Japan. For a transit hotel, it served its purpose well.

Although we arrived at the hotel quite late (11:30pm), it was bustling with people. I could only assume many people were there for an overnight to catch their next plane out of Narita. There were both foreigners and Japanese nationals, so the clientele was pretty diverse. The woman who checked us in was quick and efficient. English was not great, but if you slowed down a bit, they were very nice about things and very helpful.

Upon heading to our room, we found the place quite dated and showing its wear and tear. Room doors were still opened with old fashion keys and knobs. Door locks were still the old fashioned bolts and chain locks. The hotel gave very simple amenities upon check in...a toothbrush, some moisturizer and napkins (go figure). The bathrooms already had self pump soap, shampoo and conditioner attached to the wall. There was a mini fridge that was unplugged, but we also saw a sign saying you could plug it in and use it if you wanted.

The beds on the other hand were hard. I mean...ROCK hard. There were about 6 TV channels and all were in Japanese. No restaurant, but about 6-7 different vending machines in the lobby. We cleared it all of its mixed nuts. There was also a coin laundry room next to a slew of computers with free internet access in the lobby. WIFI was free, but weak.

I believe all stays include a free breakfast and this was CRAZY. Breakfast started at 6:00am and we arrived in the lobby at 6:30am. It was pandemonium. There was a group of about 30 Chinese tourist heading back to China and it almost seemed to be a fight to the finish to get your food. It was a self serve line with rice, scrambled eggs, toast, Japanese sausage and miso soup. The hotel workers couldn't fill the trays fast enough as the Chinese tourists launched themselves at the food. We grabbed what we could and decided to get a can of coffee from the vending machine instead of battling them. There was a small microwave next to the vending machine, so we emptied our coffee in a cup and heated it up...surprisingly not bad at all.

My only gripe was that it's in a terrible location. There are no buses, railway stations or "things" in general around the Toyoko Inn. Our flight left at 8:00pm that night, however check-out was at 2:00pm. So with nothing to do anywhere around Toyoko Inn, we opted to check out right after breakfast and take the free shuttle they had to the Narita Airport. We checked our luggage into the the luggage lockers they had at the Departure level upon arrival. From the airport, we bought a 1-Day Metro Pass and headed to Tokyo, Ginza, Shibuya, etc... We spent the entire day exploring Japan and made it back in time to hop on our plane home.

Overall, the word "spartan" would be a good description. The rates are unbeatable for Japan. We did not pay for our room, but from looking at the rates they posted on the wall, it goes as low as US$40-$50 / night if you join their loyalty program.

This is a terrible hotel, and you will remember your disappointment long after you have forgotten the price. There is a reason it’s cheap. The staff speak very bad English. The staff are poorly trained and took 3 staff to finally get one who could check me in.
Don’t arrive 15 mins early or they will slug you an early fee , even though the room is ready . No gym, no sauna, no pool, A Very disappointing hotel and NOT catering for foreigners most of there business is Japanese. This is in the never ever go back category.

Problem: will we wake up early to travel from Tokyo to Narita Airport, or will we sleep in late and stay the night at an airport hotel? We chose the latter and stayed at the "Toyoku Inn Narita Hotel".

The Toyoku Inn Nartia Hotel is a typical Japanese hotel. There's no bar in the lobby, but there is a smoking cabin, a coin operated laundry room, a PC working space, a night gaun vending machine and a highly efficient reception. In our case one clerk checked in two customers at a time. That's efficiency for you!

Our room was a so-called "tripple room" (#925) with three beds, each so huge that the room can easily accomodate six guests. The style is old in the sense that one gets the feeling this hotel was built in the 70s or 80s and has never been renovated or even serviced since. The room looked worn out and the bathroom was plain dirty. The walls seem to be paper thin; when people in the adjacent room were talking it was as if they where in my room. There is a safe, but it isn't mounted to the wall so thiefs can simply steal the safe (a sure bet, since a locked safe must contain something valuable).

Yet, the real problem were the rock hard beds. Just sit down on them and they don't seem to have any springs in them at all. Sleeping on the ground is just is comfortable (not joking!). The pillows feel like they're filled with wet clay. My partner woke up with severe back pain, I woke up with pain in my shoulder.

Breakfast is complimentary, but it is so simple and cheap that it's obvious the hotel simply cannot charge anything for it. Yet, we appreciated the gesture. Also, we didn't have to wake up early to catch my flight and the room was dirt cheap (pun intended).

The hotel has large rooms, but it was very old. The view was to the airport.
We were at the hotel for 1 night. Reason I choose it was because I have to flight next morning. I was very surprise when I bought ours train ticket from Kyoto and found that the re is no way to reach the hotel at the time we will arrive at Tokyo (9:15 pm).
When I arrived in Tokyo Station I called the hotel, and they confirmed that the only way is a taxi, and that was very expensive (US$ 210.00). They recommend staying in Tokyo, which I didn't because I had already paid the hotel, and it will cost a lot ore than a taxi.
We arrive at the hotel at 10:20, and I paid the most expensive sandwich of my life (2 regular cold sandwiches, 2 beers, and one coke for about US$80.00).

The agent who did our check in was not friendly at all. Impatient in deed. This was my first night in Japan, bad impression.

Luckily, the food court ladies were quite warm and welcoming.

Rooms are big, but dated. I requested a high floor room and quiet one. They gave me a room on 2nd floor and right next to tons of Air Condition units. Very disappointing. They were many groups arrived after us, so they would have other room they could have assigned to me.

Breakfast is simple.

They built the new wing next to the old building, stopped using the old building. That's probably why it said Grand Opening. Toyoko Inn Narita Kuko or Toyoko Inn Narita Airport should get you their webpage. Toyoko Inn is a large chain. Did you spell the name correctly? 東横(toyoko)

"Our triple non-smoking room was on the 4th floor at the end of a hallway. We can't remember the room number, and since the hotel did not provide us a receipt we can't look it up. Not to be snide, but honestly, if budget is a major factor, try to get into an airport capsule hotel instead of this place. Its just not taken care of and the business practices seem circumspect."
