Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Excellent breakfast buffet that caters to both Japanese and those who prefer an American or European breakfast. Easy walking distance to Naritasan Shinsho-ji and the Narita Calligraphy Museum, as well as the main shopping street in the city. Free shuttle to and from the airport.

I choose the hotel because the price and the location, but it was a big mistake, the service its not a good one, they dont have a bellboy or somebody to keep safe your luggage, I ask for a non smoke room and they give me a smoking one, the elevator doesn't function properly, the room smells very bad, a very dirty room, and also bugs in the room, really a disgusting experience

I would stay here if there were no better options. Decent: hourly bus transfer- but can get very full: always book with hotel first. InRoom heater that controls temp decently. Commendable: freshly renovated lobby. Smiling receptionist despite nasty demanding customers Bad: huge tour bus crowds checking in/out at same time for small hotel- get ready to have every sense tested sorely by crazy crowds trying to get to room by the 2 slow lifts Nasty: thin walls- I heard every convo of peeps talking at first floor from my top floor room. Makeshift Converted bathroom unpleasant- but decently clean. Location is decent- short walk from mall and nice eateries. Stayed at Narita Tobu a week before: enjoyed it a bit more.

WiFi completely did not work here. I can not find Hotel Wifi Name to connect. I go and ask straff about it . But a man at late night lobby straff with glasses answered me like he don’t care “ this hotel wifi is not strong “ that it. OK I got it ! Don’t choose this hotel again! then my friend vdo call me there and i just pick up vdo call not even say anything. the same straff point the finger to his mouth and tell me to shut up!!! I Reduce my phone noise suddenly and i just shock with the hotel straff manners. Never found Japanese Straff be like this . Very Rude!!!! just me . I’m a only guest there at lobby floor that time . Why and how necessary to be rude with me like that? The hotel elevator is the worst! It close in 4-5 sec and never open itself again . It hurt my mom when she get out . People with the luggages here is very hard to use it. No sensor elevator. Room is OK . Larger and they provide good Shampoo and sope. But not found Wifi in room as the advertisement. Breakfast is good many choices of bread. Salad , western food , asian food , drinks Good location ! near Naritasan Temple just 1 kilo. and near Narita Airport and Mega Don Quit for parking is 400¥ / night . parking outside but safe 0 star for wifi 0 star for straff 0 star for hotel elevator hope the hotel improve it

Hedistar is popular with Chinese tour groups. When tour groups check in, it is absolute chaos. Hedistar usually has 1-2 staff at reception. The reception area is small. There are only two lifts, which is next to the reception. With a large number of people crowding the reception area and queueing up for the lift, it takes a long time to check in and to make it to your room. Unfortunately there are very few seats so you have to stand in the crowd. This is not pleasant if you just got off a flight and want to check in as soon as possible. The size of the rooms is decent. Hotels.com ranks it as 3.5 star but Hedistar’s standard is lower than 3 star hotels that I have stayed at in Japan. The hotel is dirty, as you can see in the pictures. There are wires clearly visible behind the aircon, not something you would expect to see in a 3.5 star hotel. The internet is very unstable, it keeps stopping. It is the worst that I have experienced at hotels in Narita. This is my second time staying there, and probably my last.

This hotel is one of the few places which had twin rooms. They had a free bus to and from the Narita Airport. The bus timing was ok but could be better. There were some shops near by but convenient shops might be a bit away from the hotel. But we realised that there were a big supper market stays open until 10pm. if you are used to walk around everywhere, Narita Station wasn't too far.

We stay 2 nights here, Room is clean but tiny and you can’t put 2 suitcases in the room because that small, good location. It’s near Aeon mall and good restaurants nearby so you can dinner and shopping there very easy.

Lacking shuttle hours to where I didn't use it, and the shuttle was a pre-requisite when I booked using search filters. I could either arrive 6 hours before my flight or 2, and I never arrive later than 3 for international flights. Slowest wifi of any hotel I have stayed at, at least of the several I have been in over the last month. If you are here more than a single night it will suck because there is nothing to do in the area hardly and the internet will not even sustain a youtube video at 144p quality. Yes, that slow. Also the elevator door closes randomly fast sometimes. Made for a pretty funny experience with a Swedish family and me walking into it. Rest of the experience was ok and typical of Japanese hotels. Clean rooms and good customer service.

The service, at the front desk, was disappointing -- the staff were not nearly as friendly as many other hotels that we had stayed in. The beds were a little uncomfortable to sleep in (mattress felt hard) and the water pressure was terrible. On the plus side, the hotel has a shuttle that runs to Narita and it is approximately a 15 minute walk from the JR Narita station. It is a nice hotel.
