Small two storey first-class hotel. Full experience was wonderful. Room was spotless and there were no items left from other guests such as soap, shampoo, coffee etc. Covid precautions included distribution of personal packages of toiletries and coffee items for making coffee. A personal bag of towels was given to us upon arrival. The package even included a pack of disinfecting wipes in so you could even do your own wipe down. The quality of the hotel decor and the decor and furniture in the rooms were that of a 5-star hotel.

We stayed here for 1 night on our family road trip-I really appreciated all of the care taken during COVID- all staff wearing masks keeping distance and all towels & amenities bagged for us. The hotel was super clean & beds were very comfy! We also had a nice outdoor dinner next door@ the attached restaurant. Overall I recommend this hotel to anyone!

The Reikart House, Buffalo, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel was an Art-Deco themed two-floor hotel located on busy Route 5 in suburban Amherst, New York. Location offered quick access to Interstates 90 and 290, Daemen College, and Buffalo International Airport. Hotel staff are pleasant and knowledgeable. Hotel's lot is proximal to a Hyatt located at the rear. The Jazzboline restaurant was located near the hotels and within walking distance although I did not utilize. Please be advised, the Jazzboline restaurant was open for limited hours and for dinner only. Hotel lobby and corridors were clean and equipment functional. Upon entering my guest room, I realized there was a stale, rotten odor. I discovered that the guest toilet was filled with waste; I did not report this to hotel staff. The rest of the guest room was clean and equipment functional. Guest room bed was exceptionally comfortable. Hotel fitness center appeared to be clean although I did not utilize during my stay. Limited, shared outdoor parking areas available. Several take-out and chain restaurants were in close proximity of hotel though all may not be within walking distance as hotel is located on busy Route 5. Vehicle traffic noise was average but did not affect sleep quality. Overall, pleasant experience. I would consider returning to this hotel when visiting the Amherst area in the future.

The Reikart House is a fairly new hotel in the Buffalo NY area. The exterior and the interior of the property has been very beautifully designed and decorated. The employees were all friendly and hard-working. The only problem I witnessed , is that there aren't enough of them. Check-in is at 3:00 PM. We arrived at 2:50, however, our room wasn't ready because housekeeping employees were still cleaning it. At breakfast the next morning, I witnessed more than 1 table of guests having to ask if they could get service. Once this property hires and trains more employees, it could easily be rated a 4-5 star hotel.

Thank you for being our guest! We did have a full staff on, however at least 90% of our guests are elite Bonvoy members and with the valentines weekend, many elected to take their late check out benefit. This can often be a juggling act for our property. I do hope that you had a pleasurable stay and will come back to try us again!

My wife and I stayed here Valentines Day weekend for an early celebration. We booked under the Valentines Day package which included balloons, rose petals on the bed, swan towels, battery candles, in room dining and bottle of wine. This was both of ours first time visiting this hotel and surely won’t be the last. Upon arrival we were greeted and presented a bag that had the normal complementary items that would be in the room pre-COVID times. We stayed in room 126, standard king room and it was beautifully decorated. Clean, very clean room, not going to lie I think it’s the most cleanest room/hotel we’ve ever stayed in. We’ve stayed many times a luxury hotels. For our dinner we had a choice of 6, 7 or 8pm and we chose 6pm. Dinner was prepared from next door at the Jazzboline restaurant and we had Caesar salad, lamb ribs with side bbq sauce, fettuccine chicken Alfredo and slices of red velvet cake for desert. Our wine choice was a bottle of Cabernet wine. It was on time, large portion sizes, perfectly seasoned and very delicious! The room tv was a smart tv and had the option to sign into your own Hulu account which was a nice feature aside from the normal stations. Prior to staying here, passing by the place you’d never know this was a hotel but this is a hidden gem. Very glad we found it and had an amazing first time stay. Highly recommended Hotel and food and we will be back.

We stayed at the Reikhart House for 8 nights recently while visiting family in the area. We chose this hotel based on it's convenient location in a lovely suburb of Buffalo, and previous reviews. There are some positives of this hotel - like the unique decor, warm and relaxing lobby, the cookies, and the free parking. This hotel could easy be a 5 rating; however, there are some serious issues with housekeeping.
In the 8 nights we stayed there, our room was only cleaned TWICE, and this was only after extensive efforts on our part by asking at the front desk several times. This despite seeing at least 4 housekeeping carts in our hallway each morning, and leaving the "housekeeping light" on for service. It should be noted that this issue cannot be dismissed as "covid related" as there was no mention of any changes to normal housekeeping at check in, or at any time we had to enquire. Each time the front desk staff, who were very friendly and professional, answered with the right buzz words of "there's no excuse for that", "we will get that taken care of right away", etc, for us only to return at the end of the day to an uncleaned room. We eventually had our room cleaned by Denise, who was excellent, but obviously she only works a few days as it only happened twice.
Another issue we encountered was the spotty wifi - I was advised by the front desk that they were in the process of completing upgrades to the service and perhaps that was the issue.
Thankfully we had a great price point for our stay, which also included the grab and go breakfast - thank you Veronica for your consistent, cheerful service every morning!

We've stayed at Reikart House twice, and it's been outstanding both times. The location is convenient to areas throughout Buffalo. The rooms are comfortable, beautiful, and creatively designed, with elements like standing desks that look like antiques. Service is impressive, you can always find someone to help. They have a really nice gym. The wifi is fast (28 mbps) but their smart TVs are aging and do crash sometimes when using streaming apps. The food in their restaurant Jazzboline is delicious and well-staffed. Reikart House isn't super fancy but it's a great value and not surprising that it was Marriott Hotel of the Year.

When we visit family in Amherst, we usually stay at extended stay hotels, eg, Residence Inn type. We are so happy we discovered the Reikart House. We were upgraded to a suite because of my Titanium Elite status suite upgrades, and breakfast was included because they have no club room. Much better than club room food! Try the pancakes. The staff was friendly. The exercise room had what we needed. The location is good because the hotel is near the expressway entrance, but not so close that you hear the noise from the expressway. The hotel has an overall fun vibe, but not too hip; eg, not a W hotel. We would stay there again, for sure.

What lowered the points for me was that I could hear my neighbor through the walls, and you can hear the vibrating of footsteps in the next room through the floorboards. You can also hear car alarms going off at night through the windows. The front desk is just a B+. I had to go there three or four times to get routed to the right room. Also, they don't have hand sanitizer easily available in the common area. The room itself has nice decor, but what's the value if you can hear the noise from your neighbor relentlessly all day long?

This is the place to be when visiting Buffalo/Niagara Falls because it’s located in Amherst halfway between both cities. It has a wonderful well appointed entrance, from the circular seat, the daily complimentary citrus water to the vintage keys for sale behind Reception. The rooms are impeccably clean, and the service is warm and inviting. I’d like to especially mention Lucas who made our departure memorable with his kindness.
