I had the most wonderful stay at the Da Nang Hyatt Regency Resort and Spa and I will return. I rate your property not as a Hyatt 3, but as a Hyatt 5 or 6. Your Regency Lounge is superb, though some of your attendants can be a bit too assertive at times (this may be cultural) in offering assistance. The suite to which I was upgraded was fantastic, truly fantastic. The location on the Sea of Vietnam is exceptional. The beach on which your property is located is in the world's top 10, and I grew up in Florida and frequently visited beaches that are repeatedly quoted officially in the world's top 10 in the Panhandle (Destin, etc.). The amenities at your property are exquisite and your staff some of the most amenable, outgoing, and friendly I have ever encountered. Some specific staff there (I complimented them by name in Hyatt's internal survey system) really stood out, and that you have not only a Regency Lounge, but truly a Regency Complex for Globalists makes me feel extraordinarily seen as a customer of value.

I want to thank management and Hyatt for what they are providing customers in this property, Da Nang Hyatt Regency Resort and Spa, as it truly is a jewel in the Hyatt system. If it were not some 5,000 miles from where I live, I would be a guest here more often!! I truly am grateful I made the trip to Da Nang, got to see the beautiful city/area near the Resort, and got the chance to meet the wonderful staff and management who make this Hyatt Resort the magical place that it is. Thank you all so very much!!

Last, the value for staying at this Property is so very reasonable for all the benefits, service, and personnel you receive!

We stayed in Ocean View King Bed with Club Access for 4 nights. The room was modern and spacious. The bathroom had a big bathtub with 2 sinks looking over the ocean and amazing space. Love the balcony with chair & comfy chaise lounge looking at the lawn and beautiful ocean.

The Regency Club has a great breakfast with plenty of food and drink option. We enjoyed “Cocktail of the Day” which was interesting everyday. The club served good food and drink including many hot dishes and desserts. The concierges in the regency club were always ready to help us. All the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating.
The RegencyClub has a separate check in area and private pool thus it was perfect for us to do our routine daily lap swim exercise.

The Danang beach is a beautiful beach with a long stretch of white sand. The large long pool was fun as well. They made it as lazy river style pool. I We had a great time both at the pool and the beach area.

The Hyatt has many restaurants. I had dinner at the Beach House, Green House and lunch at pool house. The food at the Hyatt was similar price to the US thus to choose the Regency Club Access was worth it. Love the Terrasse bar with beautiful decoration for drinks and coffee as well.

The Hyatt Regency is 30 minutes from Danang airport and 10 or 15 minutes to the town. The taxi is about $6-7 to go to town. Thus it was easy to go anywhere including Han Market and Dragon Bridge. We came to Danang for the beautiful beach and golf. We played in BRG Golf course, Montgomerie Links ( 5 or 10 min taxi ride from hotel), Bana Hills and Vinpearl Golf in Hoi An. It was a remarkable experience.

We love Danang and the Hyatt. We will definitely come back here again!

My daughter and I stayed at this property for 3-nights at the end of February. It clearly was not a typical time as concern about the coronavirus was rapidly expanding, and the tourists from China and South Korea were entirely absent as they were not allowed to enter the country.

All of that notwithstanding, I did want to leave a review because the property was absolutely beautiful and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and the decor was very muted and tasteful. The breakfast buffet was delicious as it provided lots of great options from both East and West. While the location was removed from the hustle and bustle of Da Nang, which was a nice respite - the attractions downtown were easily reached by hailing an inexpensive and convenient Grab (like Uber).

When travel becomes less of a concern, I highly recommend staying at this beautiful property.

My family and I stayed at the Hyatt Regency in Danang recently. Although Vietnam is open for business again, international tourists are not visiting so the hotel was very empty. I expected the hotel to not have certain services but I wish they would have specified what services were unavailable due to low occupancy. I'm a Hyatt program member and booked a 2-bedroom residence through the Hyatt app, however, there were no indications that anything was different, other than extra cleaning procedures. Here are some of the issues we had for you to keep in mind:

1. Only one restaurant was open and it did not offer the traditional breakfast buffet (they had a very small unlimited ala carte menu instead). One of the days, they did not have everything listed on the menu, which confused me since the menu was not extensive in the first place. Additionally, the restaurant's air conditioning was not working the entire time we were there. They had fans around the restaurant but unless you were directly in front of it, it was really hot.
2. There was no in-room dining service.
3. There was only one swimming pool open and it was very dirty. Leaves, twigs, dirt, and some trash were floating around in the pool. We raised it with the staff on the first day but nothing changed. Ironically, they also left in the pool a bunch of pool cleaning equipment. It was not being used and it was just laying there the whole time. Not sure why they didn't put it away (or use it if it's out) but it made swimming an unpleasant experience.
4. A lot of things were closed in the city of Da Nang. We called concierge to make sure the famous Da Nang night market was open and they confirmed to us, twice, that it was "definitely" open. So, we made our day's plan based on that information. When we arrived at the night market, it was definitely closed. Dark and devoid of human life. It definitely left a sour taste in my mouth. I don't mind so much if the concierge says "we don't know" but a concierge that confidently tells you the wrong answer is just not okay.

We raised all these issues again with the check-out staff and they simply noted our complaints. Given the price we paid, it did not live up to our expectations. Not sure if we'd stay at this Hyatt again. We will probably consider staying at other hotels first the next time we're in Da Nang.

Received an email from Ms. Tiffany Do (guest experience manager) 9 days before my stay, inquiring my flight schedule and room setup/preferences so her team could make advance arrangements to ensure maximum comfort and satisfaction in the hotel. She also highlighted my Globalist benefits and offered to arrange for airport transfers. This small gesture of a pre-arrival email made me feel like they were already thinking about me before I even got there, which was a nice touch.

I arrived at the property around noon and checked in at the regency club lounge. Overall a seamless and expeditious check in experience.

Later that evening I was back at the lounge for the evening cocktails and 3 different people, namely Rosa (concierge) and Aaron & Calvin (regency club) came to introduce themselves and welcomed us to the property. All of them were eager to express their willingness to assist in whatever requests or assistance we might have in planning our activities in Danang.

Aaron in particular came across as extremely sincere, approachable and knowledgeable with the local attractions. He was also cognizant of our nationality (Singaporean and therefore innately foodies who love street food), and was kind to remind us to be mindful of the fact that our stomachs may be sensitive to the local street food preparation standards. Building on that fact, he had on hand a few recommendations for restaurants which we promptly checked out during the period of our stay in Danang. Excellent recommendations btw Aaron, very much appreciated. :)

The morning buffet spread at the Green House alternated each day, and has a lovely variety of local and continental options. However, there were more than once where we felt that the wait staff were overly enthusiastic about clearing our plates before we might have been done with them. It gave the impression that the staff were super eager to be efficient, and we have no problem with that.

Special mention goes out to Aaron from the regency club. He recommended a local motorbike rental which delivered the bike to the hotel for free, and which we engaged with reasonable rental rates. It was a superb deal and we couldn't be happier with the overall experience. For the record, this company is called on2wheels Danang.

When we later found out that Aaron was an intern with the hotel, and still a student who is about to finish his final year at school, we were blown away. This was simply because he carried himself with the finesse and professionalism of what you'd expect to be a super experienced and refined customer service representative. It is obvious that he prides himself on providing a superior experience to guests.

Overall, we were pleasantly surprised at having our expectations of this property exceeded by a fair margin. As with any 5stars property, it is not just the facilities and amenities that make for a 5stars experience, but also the quality and training of the staff who interacts with the customer. And Hyatt Regency Danang has done extremely well on all fronts.

The staff was very helpful and attentive. The breakfast buffet was excellent. Great food selection, high quality food and very clean restaurant. The bedrooms were very clean and the location is nice being able to see the ocean from the balcony. The one thing that could be better is the tiles used in the bathroom showers. They are cheap and old looking. Looks like they are hard to clean because it looked like mildew was building up on the tiles. I’ve stayed at many high end hotels and for over $500 USD a night I expected everything to be immaculate. The value just wasn’t there because I stayed at 4 other very nice hotels during my trip in Vietnam and they were phenomenal without the hefty price tag.

We stayed at Hyatt Da Nang for 3 nights during Christmas. Location is excellent with an amazing soft sand beach! The pool and restaurants were very good. Fitness centre and Spa were excellent! However we had glitches in the room with the metal rod to pull the curtains falling off and so did the shower head from the hand shower (thankfully no injuries). These were fixed the same afternoon. We had a good time but the service and hospitality did not match up to our expectations for a Hyatt property. We used the Regency Club access and the offerings in the evening during complimentary happy hour were well worth the extra cost. They also made good attempt to serve us vegetarian friendly options. They need to work on improving the overall welcome and warmth expected from a 5-star resort in Asia!

Stayed for 4Nights at the one bed room residence with Hyatt Regency as we were travelling with a young toddler.

Check in was swift, room was spacious, house keeping staffs were prompt.. given this is a relaxing holiday, we spent most of our time in the resort - basically tried all the restaurants within the resort. Our favourite restaurant by far was the Pool House.

Everything went really well until the last day when we were about to check out..

The night before check out, we had noticed that the freezer wasn’t cold enough to freeze the ice pack we brought, so we called the guest service to specifically request for the ice pack to be kept in the commercial freezer (the reason why we need the ice pack is to keep the baby food cold while we travel on the flight)..

To our horror when we got the ice pack and cooler bag back on the day of check out, we realise the ice pack wasn’t frozen at all and in fact it was “defrosted”.

We then had to call the guest services to request for a assistance but the only solution available was to hand carry a bag of ice alongside with the baby food to keep the food cool which wasn’t a solution at all as ice melts and travellers are not allowed to bring liquid onboard.

While the staff did try to offer some compensation (ie airport transfer) we rejected the offer as the compensation could do nothing to solve the issue.

As we have a flight to catch, we were left with no choice but to leave for the airport.
In short, To put a parent through the episode of worrying that our baby could potentially go without any food was daunting.

Though it’s been a week since of our stay, we have not heard of any follow up from the hotel as a courtesy.

Basically the lack of accountability from the staffs is really disappointing - thus the reason for this one star review

Amazing!!!

Was here to celebrate my birthday and we were impressed by so many things in the hotel. We stayed at the beautiful Regency Suite this time (see pics). The room was spacious and had great views of the beach. This corner suite included a separate living area with dining table, 2 balconies and even a walk-in wardrobe.

The hotel several pools for guests to enjoy and relax. The hotel even had a adults-only pool for those looking for a quieter setting to relax. The facilities in the change room which included a sauna, steam room, outdoor tanning area and hot/cold pools was great to utilise after a swim/gym.

The club room as well as restaurants all serve exquisite Vietnamese or international cuisine surrounded by amazing views of the pools or beach.

The staff were warm, friendly and really helpful. A big shoutout to Ms Tiffany Do who assisted us on numerous occasions. Her great personality made the stay so much better. They had even prepared a birthday cake in the room when we returned. A big kudos to the team at Hyatt Regency Danang!

I stayed one night here in a suite with club access (via my travel companions globalist status).

Overall, I enjoyed the hotel. Despite being over a decade old, its minimalist design hasn’t gone out of style and everything in the room felt well-maintained.

A highlight was their top-notch sauna facilities including a hot and cold jacuzzi and massive steam room.

The rooms were tidy, but please—dust the balconies.

Staff was polite and the beach was surprisingly clean (even though I came just a couple days after a typhoon).

My only issue was with the food and beverage on offer at the club. I understand that corners have been cut after Covid, but the excuse is now threadbare!

The alcohol served was what we’d call “well drinks” in the F&B industry and there were only two wines on offer (nearly identical to my club experience at Hyatt Regency Phuket earlier in the year). The only “special” cocktail that was being served as a bottom shelf gin martini—really?

There were no special hot canapés either. It was a buffet only and the food was just insipid—bordering on flavorless. Despite not paying for the club during my stay, I did pay US$50 for a friend to join us for evening cocktails and felt it wasn’t worth it.

Pre-covid I had no issues paying extra to stay in rooms with club access, but I don’t think I will for the foreseeable future as the quality at many (not only Hyatt) has plummeted—as the prices have remained the same.

Lastly, signage around the hotel should be improved. The map to the gym was not clear even after asking two employees where it was.

In summation, I’d return to the Hyatt Regency Danang again, but might try out another hotel in the area beforehand.

During my entire 5 day stay, I did not see any Grab food delivery. Every time I returned from a day trip, my Grab car or Taxi had to stop at the gate to tell them that they are dropping off a hotel guest. I am not sure if without me in the back seat, if the guards would allow them to drive up to the reception area. And even if the Grab food delivery were allowed to drive up to the reception area to deliver your food, I assume (common sense) that you would need to meet them at the circular drive way. I can't imagine they would be allowed to deliver directly to your room. It is quite a long walk from your room (depends if your room is on ground or second floor) in a very hot sun (unless at night), not as convenient. The resort is a sprawling compound type with many separate buildings far apart from each other. From your room, every where you want to go is a long walk in the hot sun e.g. from my room to the beach/pool, gym/spa, the restaurant, the reception/front desk area etc.....

Hi , The pools are not heated but we did swim in the adult pool in Dec last year . Water temp in April should be great for swimming since it is the dry season and less windy , plus the hotter sun outdoor .
